Time to go get some books! And where do I go? Barnes & Noble of course! Here is my experience: When I walk in, I see tons of books, bigger than a regular library (a local one). The service greeted me in, and very nice people, they give out recommendations to people on what books to read. I have read the whole Wings Of Fire Set in 4 months (lol) . They have a large variety of books. Fiction, nonfiction, novels, cookbooks, fantasy, mystery, any genre you can think of, will be at Barnes & Noble. A place to get some coffee as well, at their Starbuck's in Barnes & Noble. Like I said, the people are very nice, they give you discounts on paying on specific for Starbucks in Barnes & Noble for a whole month to use it on for. Like a school calming corner.... I'm literally writing my review for Barnes & Noble while sitting at the cafe inside this very Barnes & Noble. It's actually why I'm here today. My husband works in Beaumont and while he's out making the big bucks, I'm enjoying bucks of my own - Starbucks. I decided to bring my laptop today to get a little writing done and get caught up on some of my Yelp reviews. Two days ago I walked into this Barnes & Noble for the first time. I noticed a sign out front that they were hosting a book club on Wednesday night (that's TONIGHT!). The book was unfamiliar to me or I'd have been here tonight discussing this book (it looks like a good one too!). My Barnes & Noble doesn't have a book club, so I was really impressed to see that here. The store is clean and looks like any other Barnes & Noble. The layout actually looks a lot like the one near my house in Buffalo. It feels like home. There aren't a ton of customer service people, which could be because I'm here at a slow time or on a slow day. Or maybe they're understaffed. But I will say the store is organized in a way that makes sense, so if you're a book-lover, you probably can figure that part out. If you're shopping for a friend and aren't much of a book person yourself, you may want to get some help. But that shouldn't be a problem. I'd like to think that if someone is working here, it's because he/she loves books. Book lovers are really nice people. :) One of the benefits of shopping at Barnes & Noble is that when you check out, your receipt comes with some book suggestions on it based on what you just purchased. Those can be some great recommendations! And if you're a member, there are great savings there as well, which also transfer to the online store. Plus, you can use your membership card to save in the cafe, which is good because it does not take your Starbucks card/app. The cafe here is staffed by really friendly people and there are plenty of seats in here on a Wednesday afternoon. I don't see a ton of outlets, but there is one in the back corner by the garbage can where the threshold joins the cafe to the puzzles & games. My experience both times I've been here has been positive. I'll probably be spending a good bit of time here for the next couple of weeks while I'm in town, and when I come back again in November. read more

I have ways been treated to friendly, professional - and knowledgeable - staff who can guide me directly to what I'm looking for or offer great suggestions. I don't compare their prices to places like Amazon... because that would be stupid. I do shop at both, but I definitely enjoy B&N a lot more. read more

I love coming here to enjoy a coffee with friends or family and just looking at the books. The Starbucks doesn't accept the app so you can gain stars which is a bummer - but if you have the membership you do get 10% off even at the cafe. If you need help from an associate- there aren't many around and you have to search for them to get help and half the time you can't even find someone. The merchandise seems to be over priced compared to other places but the atmosphere is great. read more

I live an hour away and while my husband was eating lunch in the car outside he told me to go look around in barnes and noble. I never been in this county let alone this store location. I went in looking for the cheap priced books and i found them and just having a baby i didnt feel like bending over to look at the books. So here comes a man holding books looking like he was putting them away he started circling where I was standing, i felt like I was being watched and followed. I found a book and i looked up and he asked me if i found what i was looking for and i replied yes, Thank you and i moved from the area. Its a nice store but yall just need to give us some looking room. read more

Great place to land for a bit of reading but not purchasing! Books are highly overpriced. I love the creativity and character inspired themed sections for children to engage in play and explore. But this is NO PLACE FOR KIDS when sanitation is severely lacking from table tops to common used items and areas. The restrooms are atrocious! The walls are nasty and the floors are filthy around the toilets. It appears as though deep cleaning isn't a process or priority. The water fountain has mildew and hard water stains. The trash cans are just nasty! It takes long term neglect to accumulate this level of nasty! read more

If you're looking to sit around for hours reading magazines and books, sipping on Starbucks coffee, all while using free wireless with you're headphones in, then this is the place for you! The other option in town is Books-a-million, which is the territorry for weird mall people and horny middle schoolers trying to sneak a peak at some skin mags. read more

Great location, friendly workers. I was here 2 Saturdays ago doing some work with my headphones on and it was pretty peaceful.

Always clean and friendly, huge bookstore, we stop in whenever we're in Beaumont to browse, buy books and get a coffee at the Starbucks inside. Great DVD selection too-I can find lots of the more obscure British films and TV shows I like there. Best "mega" bookstore in Beaumont. read more

So glad they updated a bookstore!! This new look makes it more appealing to shop in a bookstore! I have always been intimidated by huge bookstores. Mostly, as I've realized, is because of the customer service. Here, they greet you when u walk in the door! Let u know they will be with u shortly if they are with someone. Very helpful!! MORE KID FRIENDLY with their reading area & stage in the back! My daughter didn't like going to bookstores before; now she loves it! And actually likes to sit there & read but will take it to go if we can't stay. She didn't even like reading just a short while ago! Keep up the good work B&N!! read more

Beaumont BN is well organized with nice staffs. They host new books, hot coffee and free wifi. It's a good place really.
