Immediately upon entry, we were greeted by big smiles & cheerful hellos as if we are regular customers! Chapter One is spacious & bright, the shelves were well-stocked, organized, appealing to the eye. They pack a great variety of books onto their shelves, so you're sure to find something that will interest you. In the back, they have children's section with some seating for an impromptu story time. Beyond books, they also have lots of bookish "gifts" to choose from - book vases, mugs, stickers, journals, you get the idea! I wish I was more local to Chapter One, because this would definitely be my go to!

The kids section was pretty ample and they had a nice little table and chair set up that he enjoyed just sitting down and looking at a couple different books which helped us make a selection. They also had some plushes including a very hungry Caterpillar one that he absolutely loves, which we ended up getting as well. The one plush did not have a sticker of course and the people behind the information desk were super helpful and. I ended up getting something from my mother at least while they were willing to go in the back to check stock because they were out of it on the floor and that you able to get me one. I feel like the prices of bucks are pretty standard as their prices are listed on. The cover is typically so I don't think there were any more or less out of line with other booksellers. They also happen to be running a sale at the time so the whole store was 25% off. Would hesitate to bring him back here. Maybe we can buy another book but as far as a retailer goes pretty kid friendly and the staff has always been super nice.

In addition, I once had a minor issue with product availability so I contacted Five Below Corporate who exceeded my expectations in resolving the problem. These stores have nifty and inexpensive products and are great for the budget conscious. I usually stock up around holidays and birthdays for treats and party favors. Very minor gripe (not reflected in the deserved 5 star rating) - recently when I was there they were selling a certain hot item and limiting to "3 per customer" as posted on the store sign however when I arrived with my daughter they verbally mentioned the policy was actually "3 per family and not individual." I don't have an issue with the limit since it's nice to spread the wealth however I do think it could have been better communicated and if changing a policy, it seems better to ensure the signs and advertising reflects the actual practice. I could see others coming in and arguing that point, and frankly my daughter was a little disappointed that she couldn't also "be a customer."

Cleanliness: The store is pretty much clean and kind of organized if the staff actually did something instead of stand around. They some times greet you when you come in and they always thank you after you pay. Products: They have a lot of different products here from weights, to snacks, to clothing and etc. Overall: This is like a high end dollar store because nothing is really a dollar at the dollar store as well. The staff could use some work in smiling and helping some of the customers that need assistance around the store to reach items that are too high.

Whether it's this mall or Woodbridge, "East Meets West" is a fun store to visit. I generally go here to get incense but they have so much more than that. Their other offerings include various Hamsas you can hang up, crystals, rocks, sage kits, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, dream catchers and more. It doesn't matter if you believe in the various spiritual beliefs represented by this store, some of this stuff is just pretty decor. The store is basically a rectangle with shelves and islands in the middle. The cashier is off to the right in the middle. The cashier I dealt with was super friendly and I saw her helping the customer before me with a great deal of patience. This store used to be on the first floor, but they moved up to the second floor and as part of that move they upgraded the decor a bit. There's a fun neon sign at the entrance and a gigantic dream catcher hangs in one window with other items. Before you even walk in the store front seems to promise a unique store experience in a mall mostly dominated by department stores and clothing shops. I wound up getting some "short" incense that were nicely priced (20 for $5 I believe). I also bought a sticker for $2. "East Meets West" is a classic part of the mall experience and I definitely recommend dropping by!
