Just took my 3 dogs to the Bark Room this Monday for grooming and nail trimming. The biggest dog is very difficult to trim her nails and groom as she's so scared of the whole process. This was the first time in forever that she was nice and relaxed through out the whole process and her nail were perfect! The fact that they are cage less makes the pups and myself so happy. Both of my other dogs looked so good too! What a great groomer they all smelled amazing and were super happy during the whole process. They also have a wide variety of natural dog treats and food. RUN!! Don't walk passed this HORRIBLE groomer!?!? THIS A WARNING! ! I I don't want another other dog to be HURT, DEFORMED, JAW BROKEN; I took my Sweet little dog there months ago and afterwards I noticed he was very sensitive by his mouth, I thought perhaps he scratched himself and he would heal. This continued for weeks and then I also noticed his tongue was constantly out, he would do this on occasion (as a Shitzu) but Never Had HIS TONGUE OUT ALL THE TIME! He also started to have difficulty eating, it seemed as though his tongue was almost backwards. His tongue would try to pick up food however his JAW could not clamp down to grab it. I also noticed that his breathing had changed, because he could NOT Close his mouth his breathing had changed. I went to my Vet and as soon as he examined him he said his JAW is DISLOCATED! Not broken but very badly OUT OF ALIGNMENT!! I told him this ALL happened after he was groomed at the Bark Room. I asked him how could this happen? He's never been sickly or injured. He told me that sometimes a groomer will hold a dog's jaw down in a very severe way, which can cause a dislocation. He also said that he is a tough dog who might be able to live a normal life with his jaw fractured like it is. He said if it were broken he would be howling. Well that was a month ago, now my dog's jaw has gotten worse!!!! He actually can't eat, he CAN'T HOLD ANY FOOD in his MOUTH because he CANNOT CLOSE HIS MOUTH!!! HIS JAW IS NO LONGER ABLE TO CLOSE, AT ALL, even for a second to be able to EAT! His JAW is for all intensive purposes BROKEN! This CANNOT be FIXED because he wouldn't be able to survive an operation because he has a heart murmur and the Vet said being, he is 8Yrs old it wouldn't be something my dog could handle. Now that my dog can NO LONGER EAT anything but WATER! I am hoping & praying for a MIRACLE because my little guy is strong and the Vet calls him a fighter! My darling dog is also the kindest, sweetest most gentle dog you have ever encountered. He never growls or barks. I knew That I NEEDED to TELL other DOG OWNERS about THIS VICIOUS, BARBARIC GROOMER. My HOPE is that NO OTHER DOGS GO to this REPREHENSIBLE VICIOUS Groomer!!! ( I never called this pathetic excuse of a groomer because I didn't want any of the lies that would be told to me. I called Bark Room in the early morning, he called back immediately and I placed the order over the phone of exactly what I needed from the collection Stella & Chewy's both mixers and frozen food! I told them what I needed and he went through his inventory telling me what he recommended and what size bags were available. I'll start this off by saying that I am a borderline neurotic pet parent to my 20lbs Schnoodle, to the point that I usually do his haircuts myself to avoid groomers. I decided to have it done by a pro this time around and called two days ago to have him groomed at Bark Room yesterday. On the phone booking the appt, I explained that he can't have anything around his neck as he has tracheal collapse. When I dropped him off, they remembered I had said that which made me feel very comfortable as I've had other groomers in the past have forgotten it. I left the preferences to the haircut open, a regular puppy cut, with eyebrows and beard left a little longer and that's exactly what they did. My fiancé picked him up when he was ready 2 hrs later and had nothing but great things to say about Bark Room. If you ever need your dog OR cat groomed this is the place. I have been going to Bark Room for just over two years now. The owners are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I am always greeted by name and with a huge smile. Both my dogs absolutely love them. Their staff is also quite remarkable. My dogs are always excited to go get groomed and I never feel like a bad fur parent walking away from my trembling dog. Mostly because they could care less that I am leaving. They are also extremely timely. Either one of my dogs is ever there for over two hours. One of my dogs being a Pomeranian, his hair is definitely not easy to do and he always comes out looking incredible! On the rare occasion that either one of the dogs needs to stay past the grooming time I know that they are not locked in cages. Instead they have great play pens for the dogs to rest. Most of the time however I walk in to one of my dogs sitting at the desk fast asleep in Andreas arms and my other running around playing with a groomer. I'm very selective; especially when it comes to my fur baby. And, because we had the best experience in all ways at the Bark Room, I wanted let everyone know who is looking for a groomer via reviews. Not exactly knowing, I was concerned about parking, but it was easy getting a spot in the lot behind the storefront. We came in the front, at the owners perfect suggestion. It was calm when we walked in the front door, and we were welcomed into a very soothing warm environment by the owner. She is the nicest person. Just lover her! The groomer Carrie came right out to meet my baby. Carrie is very sweet and caring, which I could tell by my initial phone call to the Bark Room and the reason I asked that she do the grooming. My baby, who is always shaking from anxiety when at the groomer, didn't shake at all. I was amazed, but it made sense because of the very relaxed environment we were in. When I picked him up he wasn't shaking either. I can't tell you how happy that made me. He was given lots of love and care. And his fur-cut looks amazing! Chose to have a home visit and they showed up at designated time and I was impressed with the level of care and how professional the entire experience turned out. The positive Yelp reviews are spot on! They were great. I had booked a more expensive service, but after seeing my Labradoodle they recommended a less expensive option. They could have not said anything and I would have paid and never known better. Customer service was rock solid. Patient with my dog who was a bit nervous because this was a new place to him. They put the cutest tie on him when he was done. Cutting a labradoodle isn't always easy - some cut too short, or too much like a poodle. He looked so good.
