This dog park is great because it is divided and both sides are large. Plenty of seating and huts for shade which my dog loves since he tends to get overheated quickly. I only wish they had more trees since we do live in Miami with the sun beaming on you all the time. Everyone seems to be friendly and so far I have not encountered any aggressive dogs. Bring your dog here and let them run wild you'll have one happy pup. read more

Bark Park - Dog Parks Near Me - Miami, Florida

First time take my dogs there. The park is nice. But sadly poops every where, if you don't watch your step, you might step on one. Rarely to see dog owners clean up after their dogs. Will not go again, it is the dirtiest dog park I have ever been. read more

Took my precious Zoe here for what should've been a fun Sunday afternoon. This place was disgusting! The park has potential to be very nice, but the city is doing a poor job of keeping it clean. There was poop EVERYWHERE and the park had ran out of bags. We left within 5 minutes because Zoe got so dirty. We wont be going there again. read more

The park is very unkept, there's a wasp problem, they desperately need pest control. The grass is super long. They have a new rule where you have to keep your dog on the leash, so there's no point in bringing your dog to the park. read more

This is a nice dog park. It is well maintained and never has too many dogs there at one time. This probably has a lot to do with the limited parking but that is only an issue near dusk on the weekends. The park is split into two, one side is for small dogs and the other side for large. There are restrooms at the entrance of the park and water spouts for the fur babies to drink from in each side of the park. There are also plastic bags available for park goers to pickup after their dogs. read more

Bark Park - Sophie enjoying the area designated for small dogs. - Dog Parks Near Me - Miami, Florida

I really like this dog park! It's great, plenty of space for the dogs to run and it has some little obstacles for fun. The bark park also has picnic tables at each end of the park and they have covering in case it rains. My only complaint is the parking situation. On the weekends, if you're not there before 9am, you'll have to park really far from the park. Bottom line, it's a great place to let your dogs socialize and run around. They need that at least once a week, and since the area is fenced in you don't have worry about cars or your dog running away. read more

Bark Park - After an hour and a half of running, Brutus finally laid down for about half a minute. Lol - Dog Parks Near Me - Miami, Florida

My wife and I have been to plenty of dog parks in the Miami area and we have finally settled at this one. Both dog sides(small, large) are great. Nicely kept grass and everything is still very new. We come here every Sunday and our beagle has a blast. We've seen a few minor dog fights here and there from irresponsible dog owners, but nothing too serious. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because they have restrooms, but never open them for some reason and the parking is very limited. We usually have to end up parking across the street. read more

One of the best small dog Parks in Miami. I rarely go to the large dog side because the are a lot of scuffling. However, I never have a problem with the small dog park and the other dogs are great. We always have a good time. read more

Bark Park - Dog Parks Near Me - Miami, Florida

See all

Pros: Huge if not the biggest dog park I've seen in Miami. Great for on leash and off leash training. Great for playing fetch, etc. Water fountain, many obstacles for dogs to play in. Park has big and small dog sections. Cons: No parking whatsoever. Not sure what they thought was gonna happen when they built this place with zero parking. Not enough shade: there's a tent area for you to go sit. But, the park is so big you can't keep track of your dog if you stay in the tent area. They need more trees. read more

This is the largest dog park I've been to so far (out of 4). It is HUGE and VERY FAR West Kendall that is absolutely amazing if you live nearby, and worth the trip every so often if you don't. It has some kinks to work out since it's brand spanking new. Concerns, comments, and questions below: 1. Not enough parking for the influx of people and doggies dying to get in. Double parking was an issue yesterday. 2. Also, more kids than dogs could be a bit troubling for some. As an example, some lady was yelling at the group of kids to get off the dog balancing beam thing so her dog could use it. 3. Come on people, pick up the poop, please. This park is huge and while there are sidewalks to use, sometimes it is necessary or nice to walk in the grassy part, and I noticed poop very often spread out, and did not see one person pick up anything yesterday. 4. LEASHES? This was so confusing. I have never been to a dog park that recommends the dogs stay on the leash, the sign is confusing too so half the dogs are on the leash, and half are not. I've actually heard that leashes can make dogs more aggressive/protective. Well - this needs to be figured out because it was half and half. 5. Dog segregation. I don't know how I feel about the left for big dogs (over 35 lbs) and right for small (under 35). My doggy likes to play rough with the big ones, and she isn't a tiny dog and she can handle it. I felt like I was breaking the rules ... going to the other side. It should be optional, or for much smaller dogs, like under 20 lbs. Oh well. But all in all - this dog park is spacious, has fun activities throughout and obstacles, walking opportunities for non-dogs, and picnic areas for snacking/reading. Best I've seen yet in layout, just some technicalities I hope get figured out soon. So glad West Kendall has something like this now. read more

This is a very spacious place with two separate size areas for dogs over and under 35 pounds respectively and my pup loves romping and playing here when I come into town to visit family. The only drawback is that I wish there was more shade. There are plenty of trees but a lot of space between the branches so it doesn't seem like there is a TON of shade. There are obstacles, a water fountain and behind the water fountain is a little shower attachment to clean off muddy paws. There are clean restrooms and water fountains outside the gate for the humans of course. Great place. read more

Very nicely kept dog park, securely fenced in with wide open spaces. Love their separate area for smaller dogs under 35 lbs... big dogs have a separate area as well. The park has agility courses, doggie water fountains, a rinsing area to clean our doggy's paws and even provide courtesy litter bags. I would have preferred a more serene location to chill out at, without the loud highway noise that's alongside the park. But that's just me, dogs don't seem to care about it. read more

This park gets an A for cleanliness, size, and location. However, I'm giving it a 2 star review because of lack of security! When leaving the park we noticed that the car next to ours had their window smashed in!!! There are also signs in the parking lot urging you to take your valuables with you meaning this must be an ongoing problem. The park was nice and my dog enjoyed it, but I like going to the park to relax and unwind with my pup... Not to be worried & on edge about my car in the parking lot. read more

My baby loved this place!! I can't wait to take him again!! I recommend it for all doggie owners best place to play and run with other dogs

Great park. Huge and separate areas for big dogs and little dogs to play in. Nice landscaping and plenty of obstacles for dogs to play on. If you have a dog who loves to run, this is a great place to bring them. As with most dog parks, the biggest problems are the dog owners. There is a sign that says pit bulls are not allowed but people bring pit bulls all the time. Some of them are very aggressive. And a lot of the dog owners don't pick up after their dogs. Pros: Very big. Probably the biggest fenced dog park I've seen. Separate sections for big and little dogs. Both sections are about the same size. Restrooms for humans. Most dogs and owners are very friendly. Great park to walk around in early on weekend mornings. Dogs can play while their humans walk around the trail. Good way for everyone to get their morning exercise. Cons: ::edit:: They finally built some more parking spaces so there is now plenty of parking except on the most crowded of days. I've been back at least once a week since writing the original review and after they added more parking, I've always been able to find a parking space. Too many pit bulls. Too many dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs. Can sometimes get too crowded which can lead to pack behavior and dog fights. The occasional illiterate dog owner who can't read and doesn't understand that his overly aggressive and hyperactive un-neutered 110 pound dog does not fall into the "small dog" category and has no business being in the section for little dogs. Overall I think the pros outweigh the cons and this is a great park. Other than the parking issue (which has since been resolved), the cons are things you'll encounter at most dog parks. I try to go at least once a week and sometimes more so my puppy gets plenty of exercise and socialization. read more

Best dog park so far!!! My 3 dog (2 big 1 small) love to come here. We normally go for sunset and the park is full with all types of fur friends to play... careful some of them are aggressive! But overall they have a great time read more

This dog park is right by my house and always has a good amount of people there at pretty much all times of the day. I've never had any issues with other dogs there and all the dogs have such a great time. The only reason I didn't give the park 5 stars is because Perrine Wayside Park has a lake the dogs can swim in, and that just makes it the best dog park in Miami in my opinion. When the park first opened, parking was a big issue and everyone would park across the street and have to cross over, but more parking has been added and that has alleviated the problem. read more

Great park if owners would abide by the signage. If it clearly says under 35 lbs don't bring your extremely aggressive full grown doberman pinscher. Lady was so rude saying "I can read" she even told someone go ahead call the cops. I am not going to put my small dog's life in danger over jerks. There's a large dog section go and take you large dog there. read more

Fun clean park to bring the four legged roommate! Its surprisingly a REALLY nice park, the parking situation sucks tho.

My dogs love this park, there's hella space for them to run and you can watch the best sunsets from there

This place is OK other than the fact that they lack on landscape maintenance. They hardly refill the doggie bags. They always close the bathroom earlier than 5 o'clock. read more

Love this dog park for my little shih-tzu. He's overly friendly and loves to socialize here with all the dogs. The only downside is parking is limited especially on weekends I recommend going early. As always keep your eyes out for aggressive dogs we ran into a mini pinscher and he started growling and showing teeth immediately waved goodbye and kept moving on. They have a nice area for both big and small dogs. This is our shih-tzu's weekend hangout! read more

Very nice park. Clean with lots of friendly dogs and owners. A small dog side and a large one. I have 2 small dogs and start at the small side and then if the other large side is not too busy we spend some time there. I have heard that many cars have been broken into there. I have never had a problem, lots of signs posted to warn about it. I leave all my valuables in the trunk and put my purse and stuff in the trunk prior to arriving. On one occasion a dad had his two kids there on noisy electric scooters zipping around, my mini Aussie was a little scared and a little aggressive chasing the scooter barking. When I told the dad that the scooters did not belong in the dog park he got very nasty with me and many of dog owners in the area spoke up in agreement with me very quickly ending the problem. read more

The park is pretty big - parking is a bit complex because of the location. I would not leave any valuables in my car though. My friend got broken into - twice. It's family friendly and pretty clean. read more

The park is great, but today I had to call the police. There are these group of dog owners in the over 25 lbs section that goes every morning. One owner a young lady about 5.4 high has two dogs almost exactly the same (tan, 35 lbs, kind of pit bull mix breed, with green collars). Her dogs are aggressive towards others dogs. I have been to the park many times and every time is the same as soon as we get close to the gate they wait for us by it and start growling at my dog. And in more than one occasion they have tried to bite my dog. She has not control over them whatsoever, and she could care less about it. The park rules are very clear if your dog is aggressive towards others he/she needs to be on the leash!!!!! I hope the police clarify this to her. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take their dogs in the morning. She is usually there from like 7:30am till like 9:30am. Also in this group there is another dog the same kind of breed grey and white color that attacked my dog as well. This attack was vicious and unprovoked. All my dog did was walk near them around 8 feet closed and that was enough. There is also a white German Shephard that it's not friendly, he growls to others. They should be call the mean dog owners group. Stay away for your fur baby sake. read more

Close to the Hammocks. They've added more parking. Clean. Lots of friends for your pups!

This park is great for dogs. Very clean, nice dog owners. They also have a water fountain for the dogs and a shower to wet them just in case it gets too hot! My dog loves this park. You will too! =) read more

Large dog park with large/small size division; however the grass is usually full of little thorns which get stuck to my pup's paws and make it painful for her to walk. My pup can't step on the grassy areas at all from how many thorns there are which contradicts the point of taking her to a dog park. I had to keep stopping to pick them out of her paws when I notice she's limping. Also, the doggy water fountain tends to over flow and fill up a dirt area across the walkway with mud. You're guaranteed to have a muddy drive back home when this happens. read more

Our car has been broken into here, and our dogs have been attacked. There are no cameras anywhere in case these things happen. We've had many fun times here, but there are also many dog owners who bring aggressive dogs and expect you to make sure your dog doesn't get too close. Won't be returning. read more

All the negative comments about dog poop, no bags and difficult people are true. Plus there is always a lack of parking spaces. But I am giving the park four stars because I take my dog to this park almost every day and she has the time of her life. She always finds other dogs to play with, lots of people to greet and is clearly disappointed when we have to leave. I am grateful that the county provided a park like this for people like me with highly energetic dogs who can get a really great workout. If my dog could talk I am sure she would give the park a five star rating but as a human I do have to deal with some inconveniences and have to minus a star. So bring your own doggy bag, glasses so you can see where not to step and try not to get into any fights with the people. The dog will be grateful. read more

I felt like my dog had depression. I decided to take him to this park. And he looked like he had fun!. The benches are nice and clean with shade. And there's a water fountain for dogs and humans!. There's so many friendly dogs too read more

I went to the West Kendall Bark Park for the first time yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised with how big and nice it looked. It is new which still shows but once in I was surprised at how ppl didn't follow directions! Dogs were pooping and owners were not picking up after them. There were ALOT of kids. I think it was equal to the number of furry ones which could become and issue, especially when they are toddlers and just trying to squeeze your dog while your dog is trying to enjoy their sunny breezy day. The park has two sections. One for small dogs 35 lbs or less and adjacent is the large dogs 35lbs or more. What really made me mad was how people really just didn't care to follow directions! At one point there was a young couple that came into the small dog area with a HuGE Mastiff. They were walking him around like nothing among all the tiny dogs. Then there was another lady who kept her shitzu on a leash while walking her around. When I suggested she let her off the leash she said "I would but I'm scared she is going to go for another dog and get into a fight"! My response...: Whaaa?? You're not supposed to bring aggressive dogs to the dog park!! Yes the park is bigger and nicer than Tropical's bark park but the people there just don't care about following the rules and keeping the place clean. Pretty soon you won't want to go there because of all the poop and smells. The park officials need to reinforce the rules for those of us who appreciate the park and care enough to follow the rules so that we can have our furbabies have a safe, clean place to unwind! Regardless I'll be back because it hasn't totally gone to crap yet (pun intended) and it is a lot bigger and nicer for my furbabies to play. There is also more places to sit and read a book while your furbabies make friends and frolic. ***UPDATE*** After 5 visits here. I stopped going because there was poop EVERYWHERE! And I mean EVERYWHERE! It is so sad that people just don't care enough to pick up after their dogs and make sure to keep this place nice and enjoyable. What did it for me was the poop left on the sidewalk where us people walk... TERRIBLE! I wonder when there will be a dog park in Miami, which the rules will be reinforced and therefore maintained. read more

Took my dog for the first time to any dog park. He is a 6 month old mini pin mix. Needless to say he loved it. When we got there I had noticed how small of a parking lot they have for such a big park. We got down and when into the under 35lbs area. We walked in and immediately were greeted by all the other dogs already playing inside. We explored for a little while before coming to an area where there was a ramp play area which looks like an upside "V". Ace is a very curious dog and his curiosity cost him a bit. He was bite by a wasp that had a nest underneath said ramp. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed by the city. We can not be taking our dogs or kids for that matter to a park where it is obvious no one checks for these things until it is to late. We left immediately so I could attend to my dogs wounds. I love this place but will not return until this matter has been addressed by the city. I would've given it 5 stars if it want for this happening. read more

Love this dog park. Perfect for big dogs and little dogs. There are two sides for each size. Friendly dog owners!

Great park plenty of space for my jack Russell to run around lots of room for big dogs and small dogs. Very clean dog park bags to clean after your pet. The owners where watching after their dogs which I like unlike the dog park in tropical park that the owners don't care. Water fountain and plenty of obstacles for dogs. Shaded areas for owners to seat and relax while watching their dog run around. Overall great experience and very close to my home. read more

Reading other reviews, I see the possibility of aggravation with owners who do not pick up after their pets, but my dog and I visited this morning for the first time, and I was delighted. Oh my, large open spaces separated for dogs over and under 35 lbs. with clean water which continuously drains, obstacles, which my dog would never utilize but it was neat that they were there, benches and picnic tables, a couple of covered areas. The place looked well maintained with lots of grass, and it looked like the county was planting more shrubs today. There are walkways for a leisurely stroll and public bathrooms which looked clean. There were bags available to pick up after dogs and a disposal bin. I'm impressed and will be back even if some do not appreciate the value of treasuring a place like this. read more

I take my dog once or twice a week, she needs to run around if not she will not relax in the evenings. The place is not perfect but with all the budget cuts its not that bad. The one thing really bad are the aggressive dogs, and no security to monitor that. Makes some of the other owners very concerned. read more
