Before the pandemic, I avoided Blanche Park because it reeked of dog urine, but I have gone there a few times lately because it is close to my doctor's office on Mary Street. Now the park doesn't reek of urine as much, but some owners still don't pick up their dogs' poops, so some areas may smell. The grass is artificial, the water fountains work, the poop bags are always replenished, there's a water hose accessible, and the entrance/exit doors are secure. The con, in my opinion, is that parking spots are extremely limited, especially around lunch time. But overall, I am thankful that this park exists because it's always nice to have dog parks around and not be developed into another building. read more

Why?? some of the grass there is false, so no wonder it had a pungent smell. Sad really as I saw owners of their dogs picking up poop droppings. As a local, I never bring my pup here. The owners are negligent and rarely pick up after their dogs. The few times I've brought him I have had to be on total guard to protected him, as there have been a large number of incidents due to negligent owners and dogs that should not be off leash or even at a park. I've watch from the kid park next door plenty of aggressive dogs at this park. read more

Blanche park is by far my favorite dog park in Miami.. it's mostly well maintained and clean, i have never had a negative experience. Taking my puppy here is definitely a weekend highlight as she loves making new friends, running freely and taking over the water bowls. I do recommend this park, but keep in mind you always have to watch your dog and make sure they are playing safely, and look out for any droppings. Beautiful place! read more

The dog park is beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and clean with many friendly dogs and great owners, for the most part. There is a woman who comes here with a group of beautiful giant dogs (mostly German shepherds and a Belgian malinois). Anytime a dog that was unfamiliar to her went up to the malinois, she would tell her dog to "be nice" and "be easy." That obviously made me aware that this particular dog has some behavioral issues. It started to rain so mostly everyone left the park. I took my dog to the car to wait it out and once it stopped raining we went back in. The woman was still there with all her dogs. Not having anyone else to play with, my dog ran up to the Malinois while barking (he can be pretty vocal). She told me to control my dog as he was trying to attack her dog. I ignored her but once my dog went to initiate some play again, she told me that I "need to keep my dog under control because he's trying to attack her dog and if anyone is going to get hurt it'll be my dog." I kindly told her that he wasn't attacking and that he was just trying to play. She replied with something along the lines of "I know what playing looks like and your dog was attacking" I wanted to say a lot of things to her but didn't want to cause a scene since there was another man in the park with his dog. I was very upset at this point so I just left. My point is...if your dog has a history of attacking other dogs and nobody can go up to him without telling him to be nice or accuse another dog of attacking him, maybe you shouldn't bring your dog to a dog park. Obviously she's afraid that her dog will do something to another dog. If anyone sees a woman that looks about 40 years old, average weight, with black hair a little past the shoulders and she has a Belgian Malinois with her be careful. read more

It is a beautiful park. Lots of space to roam around and enjoy a nice exercise routine. I brought my lunch and sat down at the tables but the only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness of the park. Definitely needed to be stepped up. The tables had old food that mold was growing on. This dog park was recommended if I was in the area. I live on the beach. It was awful. I thought we were bad about picking up our dog poop on the beach but there were piles of poop everywhere. Blanche Park is a great place to take your pup for some fun in the sun! It's not the biggest park, but it is certainly clean. It's split up into two parts - one for kiddos and one for pups. Since there is only one side for our four legged friends, that means both small and large dogs mingle together in harmony. There are a few little dogs I saw with a napoleon complex for sure, but from what I saw the owners do a good job at making sure their dogs behave. They have tennis balls for you to use, and the grass is all turf which is awesome since you won't have to deal with a muddy dog after the visit. There is not so much parking around the park - but the good news is you can find parking in the surrounding neighborhood and take an nice stroll. It seems like this is a regular hang out for lots of dogs in the grove, and there's a nice sense of community with the owners/dog walkers that come and visit. I had to be that "guy" asking owners by pointing and offering an intrusive bag ask, to have them clean up after their unsupervised dog crapper. While the environment is solid, they have heavy big dogs running around unsupervised with other dogs. The owners have a particular SNOT demeanor about the "guy" asking them to clean up after their dog. Absolutely, have some life skills people. read more

We've been bringing our dogs here for years and they love it! The astro turf helps to keep them clean and there is a water station. Landscaping could have been designed a bit better, as the trees have shallow roots and always fall. There also not much shade. Typically busiest between 6-8PM on weekdays. Not much parking as there is a playground next door as well. If you're in the neighborhood, it's best to walk there. For the most part the people and dogs are friendly! read more

This review is for the bark park side. Skippy (my four legged best friend) enjoys coming to this bark park. This is our second trip here. The other pet owners seemed very friendly and chatty. Most were playing with their dogs and said hi to Skippy. The first time we came was at around 6pm and it was slightly crowded so we didn't stay vey long. Mosquitoes were all over the place so make sure to bring OFF repellent! We stopped by at around 11am today and there was a good amount of dogs for Skippy to interact with (about 7). The park was clean and the owners who were there picked up after their dogs. The ground is astro-turf so it's not muddy. There is a lot of room for the dogs to play fetch and run around. The park does not divide the big dogs from the small dogs which makes me a little nervous considering Skippy only weighs 6 lbs. The parking situation is not very good. The majority of people I spoke to live close by and walk to the park. I had to park on the side of the park... halfway in the street. read more

I really enjoy this park. There is turf not real grass which I actually prefer because my dog doesn't get all muddy. It's hard to keep the dogs clean when they are running around and dirt is flying. Overall all nice area, nice park, nice ppl. You have your usual ppl that don't pick up their dogs poop and you'll have the nasty poop in the middle and no one wants to pick it up. Drives me crazy, watch your dog and pick up their poop. You know if your dog has to poop or not when you get there. Only real problem is parking. It gets a little crowded with both parks (dog park, playground) and there is no where to park. Other than that it's a great place. Also only one size dog area. There is not different sections for big or small dogs. I don't mind this because I have a big dog but I know some ppl with small dogs prefer to go to divided parks. read more

One of the few dog parks in the area that is well-maintained. At home, I never keep my dog on the leash unless I'm walking her and luckily here I find that most folks respect the leash rule. As always, it's best to pick up your dogs droppings because it keeps the grounds clean and more enjoyable for dog parents. It's not the largest park but it's local to the Grove which means you can stay in the area without having to go far inland to entertain your pup. I always carry treats with me and bottle of water for my precious pup so she can stay hydrated as she runs around and enjoys the outdoors. The hill is great for bigger dogs like mine and keeps the small ones away. It's one of the most beautiful dog parks in Miami and it's free so why not take advantage and show your animal child a good time? read more

This is a beautiful dog park in a quiet residential area of the Grove. It's kept very clean, has a small hill for the dogs to run up and down on, and has a well delineated walking path through it. There's also a children's playground right next door so you can sit on one of the benches in the middle and watch the kids and the dogs play. At the front entrance, you'll find flyers with local events posted, including missing/found dog notices. The 'grass' area is all green turf and I really like that this park isn't full of large open dirt areas because my puppy loves to dig huge holes and roll around in the dirt until she's filthy. While I'm okay with that if I have the time to clean her up afterwards, it's not the ideal for someone who wants to let their dog run around on their lunch break and get back to work right after. The park has a very stimulating environment for the dogs to keep them entertained. There are also many shady areas for people to sit on hot summer days. **Another benefit- there's free parking on the side streets and a few spots directly at the entrance. read more

Gatsby and I usually come to Blanche Park on Sunday afternoons. Gatsby gets a chance to run out his energy and follow the other dogs around and I get a chance to sit on one of the many many benches in the shade. The park is clean, not too big/not too small, and I really enjoy the walking path inside the enclosed area. My dog is tiny so he doesn't need the hill, but for bigger dogs, I imagine the hill is awesome for them to explore. The only con about this park is the parking. Its hard to find a place and I tend to drive around the block two or so times before I find something. Overall, Gatsby and I both love it here! We both end up good and tired and it makes for a lovely Sunday afternoon. read more

About twice a day, Hank calls Blanche Park his astroturfed sanctuary. Having now lived on South Beach and the Grove, this dog park is head and shoulders above any parks on the beach. When it rains, the turf stays nice and slick and never muddy. The many palms offer shade and the various benches and tables make this place nice even for humans. The people are super friendly here and the dogs range from shelter all-stars to designer mutts (special shoutout to all the puppies). You'll find all of the dogs are well-socialized and a majority are fixed (aggressive eruptions are kept to a minimum). For a neighborhood park, this certainly is the Rolls Royce of the local competition. It might not be mighty, but the dogs and people are lovely and the fleas are non-existent! Plus, you'll find well-stocked poop bag stations throughout. read more

My dog really enjoys this park!!! She's always enjoying her time running around and socializing with other dogs . This is one of my favorite dog parks . Well kept always has poppy bags . It's also nice they have tennis balls there for the dogs to enjoy. It's not real grass so sometimes during the week it does smell but on the bright side my dog doesn't go home with dirt all over her or any rashes because of any piles or anything like that . If you have children it's also great because on the other side there's a playground for kids . The dogs are friendly and the owners too. it awesome to be in a park that big and small dogs play together. there is always a dog that can be a little "trouble maker" but it is good that the owners know when its time to leave. Most of the people who go there are from the neighborhood, so now Im starting to see familiar faces and puppies. Out of all the dog parks in Miami, this one is our favorite so far. We've gone twice in one weekend, and it's been packed each time. The fact that it does have the astro-turf makes it wonderful because the dogs don't get muddy. Don't get me wrong... I like for my pup to roll around and be the dog he is, but cleaning him to get him back in the car is a real pain in the ass sometimes. So, that is a major plus. Going back to the fact that this park has been packed on each of our visits. This a a huge plus for us. My pup has a blast!! He always has someone if not a group of other pups to play with. This has been a problem at other parks, where you'd expect for there to be at least a handful of dogs on any given beautiful weekend, and we've been lucky to have 5 at once. Well, now we know, they all must be here! All the dog owners have been nice as well, and everyone seems to be really cool and laid back. I'm sure at some point I'm bound to come across an idiot, but so far, so good! Parking can be very limited, but people seem to park on the street. Another idea, if you don't live in the area is to park closer to cocowalk. We did and it was a nice walk to the park. You can find us here on any given weekend! read more

It's always hard when selecting a playground to take children to. When deciding I was think of parking, cleanliness and interest level for my child. Blanche Park makes the decision easy. The children's playground offers a clean playing area with turf not grass. There's a picnic table with roof covering to stay out of the shade. In addition to multiple benches to sit on. There are two playground sets, one for the older children 3 to 5 and one for the children under 3. This makes it easy to determine which activities are safe for your child. I love this dog park because it's always full of dogs at any time of the day. Even late at night!! The artificial grass makes it look clean and prevents the dogs from getting all muddy so that's a good thing! Once you start coming here more often, you will start seeing the same dogs over and over again so your pet will start being more familiar with the same dogs. Several weeks ago when taking my partner's dog out for some exercise, I decided to bring the lil' guy here to run off some steam, rather than to the park we usually visit. We liked it here at Blanche Park so much that we've returned a few times since. Blanche Park isn't large and is split into 2 sections; One part is a fenced in, well-maintained playground for children, and the other section is a dog park for canines of all sizes. IMO, this seems to be a really nice facility overall compared with most other area dog parks. The first thing one notices when approaching is that there's a basket of tennis balls, knotted ropes and other toys for any dog using this park to share. Upon entering, you see nice packed mulch paths for the humans, and a low artificial grassy turf covering the entire place that looks much like a putting green, though they did leave 1 area in the back corner with a patch of natural grass. There are plenty of benches for the humans, a rounded, elevated hill in the center, and the people who bring their dogs here seem friendly and outgoing for the most part. Blanche park is also outfitted with a water fountain for both the dogs and their humans, and several poop bag dispensers and trash cans. The only critical comments I'd have are: 1) Since this is a park for dogs of all sizes, some of the larger ones can get a bit aggressive, and in some cases their owners refuse to do the responsible thing and simply take their aggressive animals home or train them properly. 2) I've seen a number of people come here and sit on a bench to read or become enthralled with their smart phones, while their dogs simply run free with no supervision on their part. That also means that, when they take a dump, the owner pays no notice and doesn't pick it up. Did I mention the entire surface of this place is mulch or artificial turf, meaning the poop sits on the top of the surface? 3) One evening when I came here, we were nearly the last to leave before it closed - yet there were only 2 open parking spaces. IMO, if they've got a number of parking spaces intended for people coming to this park, they should enforce that. As it is, it seems people living in this area take them for no-cost parking. read more

Balls galore, plenty of space for your fur babies to roam and play freely, friendly & responsible dog owners, lots of shade and benches to sit, clean water for the pups and peeps, and poop stations all around the park. It's a cute and safe neighborhood within walking distance to the hotels that accommodate pets. The only thing I WISH it had was a restroom nearby for adults. read more

Having just moved, I was looking for a dog park nearby. I instantly fell in love with the location. It's in the center of a quite residential area next to a children's park, which is adorable! It's artificial grass, so no more looking for poop! Woo hoo! They also have a nice hill for dogs to run up and down on. Oh, and balls everywhere!! The park always has a good amount of dogs for my dog to play with. The pet parents are very friendly and everyone seems to know each other. My dog also had bad social anxiety, but I feel like this park has definitely helped him come out of his shell and be more friendly! Small dogs and big dogs are combined, which I know can be a problem for some, but my dog loves it! Parking can be a little tight, but you'll find something eventually. Love this area so much, I'm thinking about buying property around it! Nothing like walking to the dog park right across the street. read more
