BARK BARK BARK!! (means happy happy happy) I have been here a few times, only really checked in once, and I simply LOVE the large space and great neighborhood. I have a very large Great Pyrenees and he can roam as far as he wants with the large spaces here. There is no place or space to be cramped in - the hardest thing about being here is trying to finally convince your dog (like a child) that "it's time to go" but in the end they have a sleepy car ride home. Amenities here are seats and benches for humans and water spots and agility toys for pups. Recommend you bring your walking shoes and a chair to follow your pup around. It is well maintained here and not many true concerns with fecal matter etc. as many fur parents do cleanup their pups presents they leave around. Great place to visit with friends while your pups have a play date.

I absolutely LOVE this park! Once again, kudos to G'town Parks & Rec for putting thought and consideration into this project. The place is very well-maintained, clean (as far as dog parks go), and very spacious. The small dog pen is very roomy, and not like other parks I've been to, where you get the feeling the small dog section was an afterthought . There are great, user-friendly water stations, and even an obstacle course for the dogs that like to do tricks (like my Butch). The other dog owners, I noticed, are generally friendly. There's a community feel to this place, and I think that has to do --at least in part--with a having well-maintained, premium facility.

Love this little park. My grandma and I used to always take her dogs there to run free and get some of their energy out!

Garey Park is an absolute gem!…read more We celebrated my son's birthday at Garey Park a couple of months ago, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we booked to the minute we packed up, everything was smooth, easy, and honestly kind of perfect. The park is stunning and has so much to do. So much space, beautiful scenery, and tons of options for kids to run wild . My son had the best time celebrating with his friends. Between the playground, splash pad, and shaded picnic areas, the kids were entertained the entire time. No one was bored, not even for a second. There's something really special about this place. It feels like you're in the middle of nature but with all the modern conveniences nearby. It made the whole party feel relaxed and joyful.

Those fees help maintain this BEAUTIFUL park, which offers tons of activities for families with kids and dogs. The bathrooms were quite clean and stocked with toilet paper. The playground was filled with kids having a great time. We enjoyed walking the trails along the San Gabriel River, and our dogs had a blast! They even have horseback riding and zip lines, along with numerous trails to explore! We've visited free dog parks throughout Austin, Leander, and Cedar Park, and they often end up neglected and trashy! I completely understand why they want to keep this place clean and welcoming!

My dad and mum take me here when we are in town and this is my favorite place to run around. Even though I'm just a pup, the grownup doggies teach me new things like how to play chase, sniff and aimlessly run around. I haven't totally braved the water park just yet, but watching the retrievers jump in and fetch has started to build my interest. I did get in the pool up to my chest and got dirty enough to need a bath, but not fully committed to jump in yet. I think if I play it wisely, I'll milk it for all it's worth and probably will get a few more trips in before I take the plunge. Luckily, the park has multiple wash stations on the way in/out, so my humans can clean me up nicely before our ride home. Not my favorite thing to do, but since it's a doggie dog world, I have to live by their rules. Now that I'm 7 months old and weigh 30 pounds, I can play in the large dog area which is much more fun for me. When I was under 30 pounds, I used the small dog area which is overall a bit smaller in size, and the grass is a bit "ruff", so not as much fun. Also too many yapping pups there for my taste. So if you have the zoomies and are in the area, come by and say hi, or come play with me as I'm looking for new friends all the time. I'll be the black /white pup with the one blue eye, the Australian accent and hanging out next to the pool.

But it was pretty hot out, and once the sun went down the party really started- there was upwards of 10 dogs when we left! The property is located out in Leander and is pretty rustic- the park is all dirt with lots of seating scattered throughout for humans (a fun vibe with mismatched chairs and tables of all styles and heights) and cute playground furniture for the doggos to run and jump on. There is plenty of tree shade as well, and water bowls set out for the pups. You check in at the bar and then can order drinks directly from a window in the dog park so you don't have to leave the fenced in park, which is nice. This dog park is super casual- no food served here, or cocktails. Just a nice straightforward (and reasonably priced) beer and wine menu. But really, what else do you need? Just some dogs, music (they had music playing) and a cold beer that comes with a cute coozie. The staff was so nice and really good with the dogs- they were there managing all the interactions and ensuring that nothing got tense. I really appreciated that. They do have doggie ice cream that you can purchase and have your dog eat outside of the park (no food allowed inside, makes a ton of sense). This place may not have jumbo screens and margaritas like some other dog parks- but that's fine by me for the relaxed and friendly vibe, reasonable prices, and staff that ensures all the dogs are safe and having fun! We can't wait to come back again- especially for one of their cool events! (pet psychics!)

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.
