First off let me say I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PARK! And if you want your dogs to be safe DO NOT take them here! I have a female chihuahua/poodle mix who is 4 months old. The rules of the park are that your dog must be 4 months old in order to enter the park. I have never been to a dog park before, so I went looking around for a good one to take my dog for some socializing. When I drove up the place looked great, not too many dogs and a lot of space. I took my dog in and was walking her around the outskirts of the park along the fence. She was on her leash and far away from the other dogs. I didn't want to force her around any dogs, I was waiting for her to get comfortable enough to walk up to them if she felt like. We hadn't been walking in the park for five minutes when a big dog (at least 70lb) from a good 40 feet away started coming up to us. My dog started pulling away, and while I was trying to pick her up the other dog grabbed her back leg in his mouth! I couldn't get him off her, I was hitting him everywhere I could. The owner and her friend finally realized that it was their dog and walked over. Her friend pulled her dog off of mine. I took my dog out of the park right away and waited for the woman. While I was waiting by my car for her another woman with a small dog got out of her car and another mans dog ran up to her and started trying to fight with her small dog right in front of me! Needless to say the owners of the dogs here don't seem to mind if there dogs could be aggressive towards other dogs and people!! The woman who's dog attacked mine followed me to the vet hospital. The vet took ex-rays and looked over her very well and said that she would be okay, and that if she was older it could have been worse cause since she is still growing her bones are more flexible. But still to watch over her the next few days. When it was time to pay the bill the woman was nice enough to take care of it BUT while she was doing this she was telling me how this was my fault!! That if I have a small dog it should not be with the big dogs. I could not believe the nerve of this woman, her dog deliberately attacks my dog and then goes to tell me how it was my fault and that her dog probably though it was a rabbit or something!! I don't care if it thought it was a flying squirrel, CONTAIN YOUR DOG!!! I was not taking my dog over to hers and getting in her dogs face or area. We were at least 10 feet away if not more and her dog CAME UP TO US and attacked. If your dog could be any bit aggressive get a very long leash for them to play on or something so you can have control of where they are! Over all this dog park looks great, very nice area but the owners there are HORRIBLE!! If you have a small dog DO NOT take them there!! My dog got lucky this time but she could have gotten hurt so much worse! This dog park is not safe unless your dog is an aggressive dog and could hold its own with the other aggressive dogs. read more

The park itself is pretty nice but some of the owners are horrifying. I've been there twice. The first time I had some choice words with an owner than was holding my dog down for no apparent reason and the second time I had to call the freakin police because an incooperative man that could not control his 100lb lab jumped on me..knocked my phone on the ground...then picked it up and ate it while the owner stood there and watched as I ran around in circles trying to get his dog to drop it. It was done-zo...I'm out $140...and the man didn't bother to apologize. So I highly disagree with the responsible owners part but the park is a nice place for the pups...to bad I won't be back :( read more

My boyfriend and I take his dogs there. It's fenced in, plenty of shade trees, water for the dogs, plenty of room for them to run. So far, everyone we've met has been super nice and welcoming. Best of all, it's right here in Gtown! read more

This is one of our favorite dog parks. There are seperate areas for large and small dogs. The large dog area is huge. It has many large pecan trees for shade. They also have a great agility course in the large area that our dog loves to play on. There have been a few incidents with some aggressive dogs but luckily the place is so large you can move to a different area to escape. Biggest negative is the watering area. There are several large tubs and a plastic kiddie pool. This area gets really muddy. They do have a hose though to rinse your dog off. Also, people use to be more responsible in picking up after their dogs...seems many owners are getting lazy about that. read more

This dog park is about 5 minutes off of I-35. As we were traveling down the highway we decided the dog needed a little exercise. We were very amazed at how great this dog park is. It is very big with very large mature shade trees. The best part of this park though are the people and their dogs (at least the day we went). All the people and their dogs were very laid back, and our dog had a blast. I highly recommend this park. read more

My two girls love this place! There is PLENTY of space for them to run and play, lots of water to drink and splash in, and it's got its own large & smaller dog section for the safety of the animals. The only thing that irks me about this place, besides limited shade, is the lawn service that works while the park is open, thus making people and their pets leave. read more

My pups & I absolutely love this park. My older dogs loves it for the squirrel watching & my younger one is able to wear her little puppy legs out running all over the huge park. It's quite a drive from South Austin, but so worth it that we find ourselves there on many a Sunday afternoon. The park is well maintained & the dog owners are responsible with their pets (picking up after them, keeping an eye out for bad behavior, etc.) so it's a safe, fun place to take your dogs. There is plenty of shade from the mature trees and seating for humans is plentiful, as there are benches everywhere you turn. Everything about this park is wonderful (the park itself, the people, the pups) and your dog will loooove you for taking them to play there! read more

I absolutely LOVE BARK PARK!!!! Well not me really- my fur babies. (I mean I'd look pretty funny sniffing other dogs privates). However, my girls love to come here! There are a lot of shade trees, plenty of bags to clean up after your dogs, access to a hose and water fountain, and there are separate spaces for the big and small dogs. The only disappointing thing is that there are far more large dogs than small dogs. So when I go with my girls, they sometimes are the only small dogs in the park. Their favorite part of the park? Because the park has so many mature trees, there are a few squirrels, and my 10 lbs killer Maltese loves to run after them. What she would do if she caught one? I don't know, sometimes the squirrels are bigger than her. read more

The size of this park blew me away! Your dogs can run and run and run some more! All the dogs that were there when I was were well behaved and their owners weren't far and were paying attention to what they were doing. My dogs love water so they enjoyed the creek and the splash pads that were put up. And my lab even tried his paw at the agility course... but I don't think he will be winning any awards any time soon read more

Fantastic option for both small and large dog owners alike. I always appreciate when a dog park has separate areas for both sizes, and the "small dog" side isn't just a tiny afterthought. We visit frequently, and are grateful for the city supporting this recreation and giving such a nicely sized plot of land to our canine friends in Georgetown. read more

Great park. Area for small dogs and area for big as well as a time out pen. Great for walking perimeter. New little dogs should go to the little side unless they can hold their own (not all humans can outrun their dogs!). I go at a standard late time of day where I think the owners know each other and dont hesitate to stand up to aggressive dogs and OR passive owners. Be cautioned that pits are viewed warily so if you have a pit let us know you are in control. Aggression from any dog will probably result in a request to leave the immediate area (it is a big park!) or a nice request to pay attention. We dont want your dog to leave we just dont want things to escalate out of control. As for kids, everything low key but if your kid is afraid of dogs, this is a DOG park. There are many dog parks in the greater Austin area and living in Round Rock I wanted to find something close to home. The Round Rock Dog park is ok, but it's rather small and not shaded, making it very hot during a heated Texas day. Well low and behold, I found the Bark Park in Georgetown not too far from where I live in RR. Very easy to find (thanks to GPS). They have the typical 2 area (one for small and for big dogs, water, water baths, lots of shade and sitting area around the trees. The area is about 6 acres so your pooch(es) don't get bored too quickly. They also have an agility area as well as a walking trail all the way around the dog park. The people are also friendly. Will definately go back, and its FREE! Check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I live in Round Rock, just a few minutes away from the RR Dog Depot, but I heard this was a great dog park, so we headed north on 35 to check it out. It was a beautiful dog park Lots of fenced in room to roam, with shade trees. We were there for an hour and met a lot of really nice dogs and humans. Unfortunately, our great trip ended when an aggressive boxer showed up and spoiled the fun. The owner of the boxer had no intention of leaving after his dog attacked mine and one other, so I took my dog and we left. I will say, there were wonderful people who rushed in to help pull the boxer off my dog and tried to block him from attacking my dog a second time and I truly appreciated their help. Had the boxer not shown up, we probably could have spent all afternoon here because it was just a lovely place, with lovely people and dogs. read more

Found this park after going to RR dog depot and hating it. This park is great. Lots of room. Friendly owners and dogs. Usually isn't too crowded either which is a plus. Me and my corgi will be back soon. read more

Nice little park, I can tell you my poor pouchie is exhausted, we were in the small dog area, clean little swimming pools, lots of friendly dog owners and well behaved dogs.... big ole' trees which was nice for shade.... been to the newer one in Cedar Park, but I gotta say I like this place better! Nice park with great trees but unfortunately there was an aggressive dog there that I didn't want my 6 month old dog exposed to. There was also a toddler running around in the big dog section, so I didn't feel comfortable letting my dog off leash, as I know my rambunctious dog would have unintentionally knocked the kid over... so we left and went to the Cedar Park Bark Park where I've never encountered these types of issues before. This is a nice park but not worth a 30 minute drive only to discover the park visitors aren't dog park friendly. read more

I just learned of Georgetown's Bark Park this week, after taking my dogs to their first dog park in Pfluegerville last weekend. My two St. Bernards absolutely love Bark Park! We've been there every day this week! I agree with the other reviewers that this park is well stocked with dog and people amenities - water, benches, summer shade, and a HUGE area for large dogs to romp. The few dog owners I've met there were exceptional. Their pets were well trained, they picked up after their pets, and they were very sociable. If there were any improvements that could be made to this park, it's correcting the poor drainage in the back area of the large dog portion. While the dogs LOVE to play in the standing water, I'd prefer they don't get so muddy, and since the drainage is slow, I'll have to keep them from the park several days after any rain. :( read more

This dog park is beautiful with trees and tons of space for off-leash fun. It is extremely popular in the Georgetown area and there are lots of dogs here on a regular basis. Everyone seems to watch the poo, so it is cleaner than most of the dog parks that have so many dogs visiting. They have added agility equipment and fun obstacles for the dogs to play on in the big dog yard. I would love it if they had a water feature, but they do have big plastic kiddie pools for the water loving dogs to sit in when it is hot. I have a new pom addition to the family and he loves to run around the little dog yard and watch the big dogs play - there is nothing to play with in the little dog yard, which is sad for him. The labradors LOVE the agility equipment and all of the socializing in the big dog yard - occassionally you will get some aggressive dogs / unaware owners - but so far it hasn't gotten out of control while I was there at least. read more

Today was our first time at this nice dog park. We loved it. Pretty clean, lots of shade (but at 42° today shade wasn't what us humans were looking for) Only thing I would change is fencing off the agility equipment. My pug and pug-a-poo like to play on the toys and we don't mind playing with other pups in the same area but if there are owners not watching their dogs (because apparently texting/talking on the phone takes a higher priority than watching ones own dogs) then we don't have as much fun. This seems to be a common theme at the dog parks we've been to around here. The toys are always on the big dog side (RR Dog Depot, Harris Ridge, Cedar Park Bark Park) and you have to go through big dogs to get to them. Couldn't P&R put a gated fence on the big dog side and a gate on the small dog side so the small dogs don't have to go through the big dog side to play on the toys? So about the bark park Pros: shade, water, plenty of nice seating, lots of grass, hardly any rocks (unlike Cedar Park Bark Park which looks someone just gathered up all the rocks from the rest of the park and dumped them in the little dog side). Cons: would love the toys fenced off from the rest of the park. And about the owners Pros: For the most part I saw nice dog people keeping track of their dogs. Love it!!! Cons: Only two. First, I was the lady with the pug and pug-a-poo that took them to play on the toys. Other dogs we there and all played nicely. Except the guy talking on the phone letting his brindle pit-ish/boxer-ish mix snarl at my pups (and other dogs). I didn't like that. So next time I'll invite you to wake up K? Second--the big, big piles of poop (two separate ones) dumped maybe 30' from the poop bags. Seriously, you owners couldn't walk that short distance to clean up your dogs mess? I can only imagine what your houses look like. Anyway, don't let the cons stop you from trying out this nice park. Worth the trip. read more

Nice sized park with mostly friendly/attentive dog owners. Quit coming here due to a several unfortunate experiences with clueless dog owners. Won't vent, just reminding people: There's no such thing as a Bad Dog, only Bad Owners. Overall a great park to take your dog out to play and socialize with other dogs & people. (OK, gonna vent a little): CLEAN UP YOUR DOG POOP, interact with your dog and not your phone, and don't go crazy if a dog comes up to you sniffing - It's what dogs do, and finally, parents, if you bring little kids into the BIG dog area, pay attention to them: big dogs are happy and yes, clumsy D'OH! ;-) Peace read more

The park is great and my favorite part are the kiddie pools you can refill to let your dog run and play in. The BIGGEST DOWNFALL for me is all the older people who blatantly ignore picking up after their dog when they poop. I have noticed it's mostly the older generation. Very disappointing. read more

Bark park is the biggest dog park we have ever been to. Driving from Dallas to San Antonio, we decided to stop here and give our pups a break. Well kept park with awesome agility equipment. Nice, friendly dogs and people. Wish we had a park like this in Dallas. read more

There are few reviews here because people who go there don't want the secret out that this is an awesome dog park. It sits on 6 grassy acres with huge shade trees. It's a lovely park in itself, add to that dogs get to run free in the fenced-in park, owners can walk the perimeter for exercise and there are shady benches to sit on and you have a great dog park that its regulars love. read more

The Georgetown bark park is a must for dog lovers. It is a huge park with mini pools and lots of agility equipment. The dog owners are friendly and always seem to pickup after their pups. We love going here on the weekends to let our pup run around. read more

I love this dog park! There's always some company there when we drive up. The large dog area has lots of room for the dogs to play and run around. The small dog area does, too. I like how the doors entering and exiting are built a certain way where the dogs can't get out on their own. I also like how there are bags to pick up after your dog. Unfortunately, some people aren't courteous enough to do it but it's rare. Overall, I love taking my dogs here! They enjoy it and get to release all their energy. That way they're tired when they're home. read more
