The manager & 'groomer' made meaningless excuses when I brought up dogs being put at risk. Gross/negative vibes. I RARELY leave reviews but my stomach was so sick from the experience I hope to prevent other dogs from being left in an abuse/ neglect situation.

Our dog's coat was very overgrown and long overdue for a good grooming. Kathie was able to fulfill our request for a short "puppy cut" and our dog's coat was shiny and extremely soft!!! We've been to other places in the past and left with subpar results that have cost the same or slightly more and taken 3-6 hours. Kathie had our dog completed in about 2 hours. Also, picked up a few of their home-made treats while we were there.

I first walked in, greeted by the staff, and was asked if I needed help. Of course I did because first time being there. Kelsey at the Lake St Louis location, she was PERFECT to my Stella and I. I explained what happened to Stella's previous groom, which was cut very short because Stella is a scared, sassy girl who likes to scare people with teef. Kelsey showed me all the tools at the self wash station. She also explained how to use the wash, what shampoos they have for the customer to use. AND since I was having so much trouble getting Stella into the tub, Kelsey asked me if Stella was treat motivated, which the treat helped me get her in the tub!! It was such a magical experience to see that my dog calmed down once she knew I was the one bathing her with tons of treats that Treats Unleashed provide for your pet to feel calm as possible. A WONDERFUL place to practice positive reinforcement with your animals, for bathing especially. I signed up for their reward program ASAP by Kelsey, got a welcome goodie bag with poop bags and nice training treats in a bag! Heck with people's previous reviews. As a puppy he had fallen out of my window when I was driving down the road. So getting his nails done is a major issue. Most places will not take your dog if they bark or are aggressive or they prove to be difficult when it's time to get the nails done. They don't take aggressive dogs either. However, this young lady was nice enough to recommend that I get a file board for my dog. You put treats inside of it and they file their nails, using their paws to try to get out the treat- so it files their nails down without the stress. My dog has seen a couple of groomers and none of them wanted to deal with him anymore. No groomer gave me a solution such as this. So my dog got fired and I got blown off and not given a solution. I took my Golden in to be groomed. When I went to pick him up he had been scalped on his neck. So…read moremuch so that he had to have surgery and received 18 stitches at a cost of over $400. When I brought this up to the groomer she told me they were not responsible and that I had signed a release. I have yet to see the release and I guess I will be forced to take them to court. I actually thought I was being nice offering to accept half the cost from them - never happened. So now I guess we'll see what a judge decides. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

The other young girl that seemed to training the new girl was blatantly, rude and irritated when I asked if I could get a refill on a different product that was completely out in the bathing room. Made a big obvious sigh w a very annoying look and said yeah I'll get it but I'm not putting these in the rooms anymore. It was a spray that you use at the end for your pups to smell extra good. The room had run out of shampoo when we had gotten in. Once we realized it wasn't dispensing a young man quickly and kindly fixed the situation.
