We made sure that the two would stay together to lesson the stress of the separation until we returned. We should have trusted our gut feeling as soon as we walked in the door. The smell almost makes you gag. I didn't expect it to smell like roses or anything, but it was ridiculous to have the place reeking of urine like that. Any way....when we returned and went to pick our boys up the lady informed me that our pitbull had refused to go outside and that they had to clean up the kennel every time he went potty. This shocked me since he loves being outside and is such a lovable guy. When we went to get him out of the kennel he was huddled in the corner and had to be coaxed out, he was scared to death. Then our beagle wouldn't come in from outside, the lady had to pull on his collar to get him to come inside. Why were my dogs so scared there? Plus they stunk so bad, I had to bathe them as soon as we got home. They will never set a paw inside that horrible place again.

We have left them as long as 48 days and our pugs never had one complaint. In fact, it seemed that they were always happy when they saw and heard Amber. Amber is so good with them. We lost one of our pugs about two years ago. Our other one is now at an age where she is deaf and blind. Amber took very good care of her while we were gone last year for about 30 days.
