We have left them as long as 48 days and our pugs never had one complaint. In fact, it seemed that they were always happy when they saw and heard Amber. Amber is so good with them. We lost one of our pugs about two years ago. Our other one is now at an age where she is deaf and blind. Amber took very good care of her while we were gone last year for about 30 days. This dog park is so awful that we usually make the drive to Blue Springs or Shawnee to a decent…read moreone. There is always tons of dog poop everywhere and we usually spend 30 minuets cleaning it up just so that the kids and dog can run around a bit without stepping in it. The park is just a small, fenced area with no equipment or anything fun. There is not a separate area for small dogs but the park is rarely busy. It is not well monitored by the city and it is common for people to sit in their cars while their mean dogs run around unattended. There are not water bowls out for the dogs to get a drink. Overall, this park is just about as bad as a dog park could get and I don't recommend going to it unless you are just unable to make the drive to a better one. Oh, there is also trash everywhere today from someone using fireworks here. I would assume it is from sometime within the last few days. The grass is freshly cut so obviously someone with the city has been here and chose to overlook all the trash and dog poop.
