Our 11 month old dog boards here (and absolutely loves it, his tail starts wagging right when we pull up). He also just completed a 2 week bootcamp with a primary focus on leash pulling (although they focused on other behavioral issues as well, the whole package) holy cow... did our dog completely transform!!! Before coming here, Archie struggled on the leash and pulled hard, barked at bicyclists, would choke himself, and more. It was intolerable to walk him. When we went to pick him up on day 14, I cried of joy. I'm so gracious and happy that I found Jillian. I thought my experience being president of Ventura county Schutzhund (police dog training) and having taken my Rottweiler to the national championship would be enough to train my pet Shitsui- Yorkie 8 lb dog. Oh boy, this guy is a character. Challenged me, barked at me, and attitude when I corrected him. I think we went through a pack of chicken a day doing positive reinforcement. He trained me well. All I wanted was for him to potty on a pee pad covered dedicated kitchen floor and use his inside voice while I was on conference calls. After reading a book on small dogs and watcmultiple YouTube videos . I found JILLIAN. She went through the differences between working dog disposition and what I called little dog terrorist disposition. It Made sense and definitely was a ego deflater as a schutzhund trainer. Humbled by an 8 pound puppy with attitude and now his soon to be humble sharp Opere . Jillian took him for 2 full days and 1 half day (honest reasonable prices). He now began signaling me fo potty and was starting to sit on command. Amazing to me!. I work a lot sometimes out of town so to expedite the potty training I ask Jillian to take him for 2 weeks ( any price would have been reasonable) instead of taking advantage of a the situation. She convinced me I could do it and hand held me to be a happy house trained owner (including text and phone calls with simple solutions). After max 3 weeks I now have an awesome dog (and dog trainer humility. What was the issue -- ME he is so small and cute I felt bad correcting him (ie spoiling a terrorist). I am impressed with Jillian's knowledge, experience, tolerance ( with me) and honest genuine service and pricing. I highly recommend her. My husband and I adopted a 5-month old terrier mix from the local animal shelter six weeks ago. I have never been as good of a dog owner as I'd like to be on the training side. I've always loved on my doggies so much and done all the right things with diet and vet, etc. but never with training. I vowed this time would be different. I am so thankful we found Bark Collective for our new doggie, Mac. He came to us with no skills, but a lot of fur and cuteness, and really was activated around all other dogs, our cats, anything. Very anxious and not behaving well. We enrolled him in Bark Collective's Board and Train program and we could not believe the results. After just two weeks, Mac was a totally different -- better, happier -- dog! It was incredible. Now, Mac can coexist in our home with our two adult cats, he knows commands well - sit, stay, off, down, place, heel, when to stop and sit on a walk, and more. Now, our walks with him are so fun - he doesn't have the reactivity to other dogs, is so well socialized, and can really do it all. He seems happier, too - not anxious at all. We loved it so much - and Mac did too - that we have him going on Adventure Days with the Bark Collective crew three times each week. He comes back so happy and ready to relax. Jillian is such an amazing trainer! She worked with my last dog Roxie, and has helped me get my new puppy on tack in just a few sessions! She uses positive reinforcement and touch and has truly changed my dogs into the most wonderful and well behaved puppies ever. Watching her behavior training and and how she treats each dog differently based on their needs is truly incredible to watch. The dogs respond to her so quickly and get SO excited to work when she walks to the door. Paulie now goes for daycare three days a week and loves walking with her pack! If you're like me and very hard to impress then you'd understand my initial skepticism when we sent our two crazy, out of control, 4 month old French bulldogs to OC Pet Care (or "bootcamp" as I now like to call it) for training. When they returned to our house two weeks later I was beyond impressed. I had to ask several times if these two well behaved, mature, obedient pups were actually ours. Jillian and her crew not only turned these two into the perfect dogs but were very very good at explaining their technique and training us, so to speak, on how to duplicate their actions now that they were home. All I can say is money well spent and you get what you pay for as I'd pay twice as much if I knew I was going to receive our pups back in this condition. WE LOVE BARK COLLECTIVE. I have had a relationship with Bark Collective for several years and it is the only place I will send my dog. It is incredible to see the growth that they have had as a business, and it speaks volumes to how wonderful they are. My dog always comes home so happy (and tired lol). My dog does the full day of care which includes A LOT of walking, which he needs as a high energy breed. His breed can also be a little nervous at times, but I feel confident sending him because they are so great with him and it's a great way to keep his confidence up. They do pick up and drop offs as well which SAVES ME! I know he is being cared for by an amazing group of people who are treating their dogs with love and kindness. Jillian is amazing!!! She runs a great place here and is so so sweet. My husky diamond requires a lot of exercise, she's 2 years old. I just started going back to school and with work I don't really have as much time as I use too exercise her as much as I should. We were referred to Jillian by a friend after our Aussiedoodle Waffle's reactivity started becoming more aggressive. Waffles is an extremely anxious and very wild 15 month old. We were in over our heads with her and at our breaking point. I called Jillian and she made accommodations to work with me on her day off because she wanted to help us as soon as possible(from that moment on I knew Jillian was someone who truly cares about animals, their wellbeing and creating happy homes for pups and their parents). Before we started training with Jillian we couldn't even take Waffles down our street without her barking or lunging at someone or something (cars, bikes, wind, you name it). Waffles was extremely protective of us and was taking the lead everywhere we went. She would bark and cower at every stranger that came in our house, even some family members she wasn't used to. We felt like we had no control and with a dog showing aggression it was very discouraging to the point of us wanting to potentially rehome Waffles on a farm or somewhere with sheep to chase and lots of space to run. Her herding instincts and dominant traits are strong and It was something I as a dog parent had to learn to manage and train. We have now been training with Jillian twice a week for 5 weeks and we pretty much have a new dog. We can now have people over confidently without having to worry that waffles is going to bark like crazy at them. Today we went on a walk at the Backbay for training and Waffles was next to us and listening the entire time, if you've ever had a reactive dog you know this is a huge accomplishment. We wouldn't have been able to do it without all the work Jillian has done with us over the last few weeks. Waffles still has lots of work to do and we are working with Jillian on getting her ready for daycare and pack walks. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our sweet wild Waffles and I am confident that we will continue to work with Jillian throughout Waffles lifetime. Jillian and her employees are amazing. My dog Moogie gets walks and daycare 5 days a week and he sits at the door all morning waiting for her. I contacted owner, Jillian, because I was interested in scheduling a meet & greet in order to start the process to get my two aussies enrolled in doggie day care for socialization purposes. One of my aussies is great with other dogs and people but suffers from extreme separation anxiety while my other has leash aggression when we pass other dogs and certain people on walks. She suggested I set up an hour training season so she could walk with me & my dogs for an hour to demonstrate what I need to do to train both dogs during walks. At this point, walks were getting more and more miserable as I tried everything from shock collars, citronella collars, correcting spray, etc and I was desperate and still unable to control my dogs constant need to bark and lounge at others during walks. Jillian entered my house and immediately took center stage by setting clear boundaries with my dogs and letting them know who was in control that hour. I've worked with a couple of trainers before and I've never learned so much in such a short amount of time. Every minute of that hour was valuable information as many habits I had while walking them was detrimental to their training. I can't tell you how exhausted both my dogs and I were after this amazing session with her.
