These people love dogs! My boy, Murphy, is a very good boy but is also shy, timid and enjoys his alone time too. This team was able to recognize that, give him what he likes and also socialize him, too! We boarded him over Christmas and were able to watch him through their live cameras. I work near by and can hear the employees screaming at the dogs all day. I would be upset to pay money to board my dogs some where only for them to be yelled at constantly. Dogs are going to bark if you cant handle that you should not work at a dog daycare. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Bark & Play. The owners and all the employees we interacted with were nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and loved every dog that walked in the door. The policies are flexible (like when our flight is delayed due to snow), the prices are reasonable, they always answer their phone, and we get great updates on our dog's stay (e.g. "your doggo had explosive diarrhea that was filled with grass, you might want to keep an eye on that"). Don't worry, they washed her bed after the diarrhea incident. My husband and I primarily used the boarding services for our 65 lb lab mix, but we used doggie daycare a couple times too. Regardless of what you're using, you can get the first three daycare stays free to get your dog used to the facility. Our sweet pup doesn't play well with others, but Bark & Play has a separate play room for loners and they rotate out the solo play doggos. Our girl was still able to play and have fun without being confined to her kennel 24/7. I'm sure there's more that I forgot, but seriously, Bark & Play is the best ever. We recently moved out of state and I'm hoping we can find a new boarder that's at least half as good as Bark & Play. read more

I work in the area and have witnessed a woman SCREAMING at the dogs in the fence just for barking almost every day. I looked through the fence and she also was spraying them if they barked. This place doesn't seem safe & clearly has staffing issues. read more

Our house was severely damaged in the Marshall Fires. Bark and Play took our dogs Mango and Gus for a full week completely free of charge, gave us daily updates, and even sent us home with dog food. I have never in my life experienced such incredible care and compassion from a business. So far above and beyond, and we are eternally grateful. Wanted to try this place to do dog boarding but the lady on the phone gave me attitude. I believe her name was Kim and she told me my dogs rabies vaccine expired when in fact it was administered to her on 11/27/22 and it was a 3 year shot. She gave me attitude all because she read the paperwork I submitted incorrectly, when I told her it was a 3 year shot. Do not recommend calling this place or coming here. These folks KNOW dogs. And they LOVE dogs. I've been taking my dog here for almost two years and he happy and excited when I drop him off and happy and tired when I pick him up. He is treated well. Kim and Garrett really love these dogs! My little schnauzer, Mollie, is generally terrified of anything that smacks of grooming, vet or day care, but she's gotten to running right in! I was watching the doggie cam they've got one day, just in time to see one of their caregivers (and there are plenty around to keep the peace and give loving noogies!) pick Mollie up and hug her, then dance with her. We have a 1.5 year old golden retriever named Thor and he loves play time here and even was calm and happy being boarded here. No scared smell on his bed after the weekend even! We left Reno for his very first kennel stay while in Denver on a ski trip. It gave me peace of mind to know I could login online to see my little guy pretty much all day on one of their many webcams. Multiple times I was able to witness the crew petting him and interacting with him. I was previously so afraid he'd be left alone and lonely. My father passed away on Monday and I had to fly home for his funeral on Thursday. Being new to Denver I had no resources for dog care and was incredibly concerned. I called my vet's office, The Center for Animal Wellness, and asked for a recommendation. They immediately told me about Bark & Play. I called and spoke with Kim who was so kind and caring! I was able to bring my two dogs in that day for FREE doggie day care to get them used to the place. Needless to say they had a blast! I brought them in the following morning for a second FREE day and when I picked them up that evening I knew they would be in good hands when I flew out the next morning. Kim and her staff are incredible! They are passionate about the care they provide and Kim could not have been any more supportive. She completely eliminated my stress in worrying about my fur babies during one of the most difficult experiences in my life. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I started bringing my dog to Bark and Play in March 2015 because she got sick 90% of the time after she would stay at her old day care. She has been to Bark and Play four times thus far without incident. The employees that I've met seem to really love animals and always shower my girl with love. They have cameras set up so you can check in on your dog during the day. They use odoggy so you can watch your pet from your phone. My dog now knows the route we take to Bark and Play and by the time we are halfway there she can no longer contain her excitement. read more

I was very anxious about leaving my french bulldog puppy anywhere, but after a day of her being with Kim and Garrett my anxiety went out the window and now after almost a year of her being there I couldn't imagine her anywhere else. I had to evacuate to Denver from the wildfires in New Mexico and was desperate to find a safe place for my dog, who had never been boarded. I called place after place and they were all either full, would not take me without a trial, hung up on me, or never answered the phone. Kim at Bark & Play picked up right away and went out of her way to help me in a very desperate situation. It was an enormous relief to know that my dog would be safe and cared for by people who put the dogs first. All the people I met at Bark & Play, Kim, Garrett, Dan, and April went out of their way to help me and my dog Cha Cha in our time of need. Had been taking my dog here for about 4 weeks. Everything was going great. After dropping my dog off one day, Garret told me of an incident where he bit one of the employees. He said, in a very rude manner, that if it happened again my dog was out of there. I completely understand that such behavior should not be tolerated and it should be addressed immediately. I have been taking my dog to doggie day care since he was 6 months old. This had never happened it the past and I was highly alarmed that such behavior was presenting out of nowhere. My dog had never been aggressive towards another person or dog. However, he did not give me any further details about the incident. Later that day, after calling this place for more information, I learned this incident happened one week before. What kind of a place takes one week to inform owners of things like this?! After picking my dog up that same day, I asked the employee present at the moment of pick up for more information. She said it was no big deal, according to her it was a "playful bite not aggressive at all". The following day, as soon as I walked in Garret said "put your card away you won't be needing it since you're not returning and we need to chat" He told me I was harassing her employee that I made her feel very uncomfortable and for that reason my dog was no longer accepted. According to him being in this profession is very likely to be bitten. However he went on to say that my dog was not being kicked out for "playfully" (in his own words) biting an employee but because I was harassing another one of his employees by asking questions and making a big deal out of it. I was shocked. As pet owners is our right to ask details about an incident involving our pet and receive information as soon as it happens. Not a week later. He was rude and extremely unprofessional in handling this situation. I don't care if you're the owner or not, you have no right to speak to a person the way he did. Telling me "your dog is out of here if this happens again" or "put your card away you won't be paying me for this"?!! Who does he think he is?! As for Garret and his wife all I can say is they way they run their business is questionable. Besides the fact that they can be very rude if they feel like it. read more

The owner Kim is a god-send. I have a skittish, crybaby 3lbs chihuahua who doesn't like anyone but now because of Kim and her team who take such good loving care of my chi he now actually doesn't want to come home after daycare in the evenings - a true miracle from when he used to shake and freak out at his last sitters! Kim runs a tight ship too; you can take trust in her background and processes: dogs need to have all their shots - she calls your vet!, dogs never alone especially when kenneled overnight, every dog gets a daily report card - really hilarious kindergarten-type format which makes me laugh to tears sometimes to hear my chi is best dressed and his favorite class is choir. It's been a real peace of mind to have Kim and her daycare. read more

However, from the moment I arrived for "initiation" all throughout the time we brought him to daycare (and boarding), I felt comfortable and at ease. (The only reason we do not go here anymore is because we had to move out of state which is a huge bummer!) The owners and staff truly care for and enjoy being around dogs (as you can watch on their cameras throughout the day) and will treat them as their own. Bark & Play is a wonderful local business. The staff is just fantastic: they love my dog and care for her like she is theirs! She gets big hugs when we arrive; her tail starts wagging around the block when we head to Bark & Play. I appreciate all the little things they do: vaccine reminders, live-stream video, discounted packages, partnership with my vet, etc. In addition to being a terrific place to take your dog, they also employ solid business practices. They are flexible with hours, they are upfront about any sick dogs that have come through day care, and they have always had room when I show up (without an appointment usually). This place is amazing. They truly love every dog that walks through the door like their own. I love watching my dog play so the cameras are awesome, and they post pictures on Facebook throughout the day as well. Some of the best pictures I have of my dog are ones they took. This place is an absolute lifesaver, and I wouldn't know what to do without them. They've always been more than accommodating with anything I or the pup need (they even take her to the vet down the street for vaccinations as needed). They knew my dog by name after the first day, and loved him as much as I do. They can always give me detailed reports on how he is doing. I can drop my dog off or get him a spa day without giving notice, and it is never a problem. Yesterday I went to pick up my dog, and they took the time to explain that he had a bad day, what happened, and how they handled it. On top of that, they said they would only charge me half a day since he was not with the other dogs. I could not appreciate this genuine support more. They are friendly, well priced, have cameras, open at 6:30am, and make sure you feel good when you drop your friend off and pick them up. read more

Me and my Boston, Kippy, absolutely love this place. Everyone who works there remembers me, remembers my dog's name, and I feel very confident he is in great hands. Being able to watch him on their cameras through the web is great. They take pics of your dog and post them on Facebook! How fun is this? I'm not sure who likes it more, me or him. Kippy is a youngster with a ton of energy, and by taking him here I know he has a blast all day and then sleeps for the next day! I've been a regular customer with Bark & Play for three months, and there's only one negative detail to mention about this place, and that's the location. It's not ideal. It feels like they would love to have more room, but what they have they make the best out of. The whole team, from the always helpful and deeply caring owners to every employee they have, seems to care more about the dogs than themselves in every way. They will move a mountain to help you, announce any issues openly (it's a lot of dogs, things happen) and even their next door vet will sing the highest praise. Quoting the vet they are being called even for the smallest issue just to make sure your furry family member has the care they deserve should anything ever occur. I honestly can't say enough good things about everyone at Bark & Play. I moved to Denver a couple of years ago and brought in my 8 year old boxer for day care and boarding. I was traveling a ton for work and they did an exceptional job of making my dog feel at home. They are great, but there is more to my story. In August of 2016, my then 9.5 year old boxer was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (the dog version of Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS). Over the next 10 months, I continued bringing my boxer in, as they gave him a second home. I always knew he was comforted when we could not be home. They gave him the attention he needed and recognized when his legs were too tired to keep playing. They made extensive notes about how to care for him and what meds to give him. At times when he would fall and get dirty, they would be there to pick him up and bathe him. I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. When we had to make the tough decision to put him to sleep, they sent cards with personal notes describing how much they loved him. I think I cried more reading their kind words than I could have imagined. Additionally, they sent a sweet gift over for our 11 month old golden retriever. They are honestly the best people I could ever imagine caring for my dogs and their kindness when we needed it the most will never be forgotten. Thank you Kim and Garrett! read more

This place was NOT ideal. We took our dog there for the 3 free trial days (why does it even offer 3 free trial days!? I'll tell you!) you walk in, it smells like crap because the lobby has a huge carpet where all the pets poop and pee. The manager told us about a bunch of rules such as "if your dog bites another dog you're paying for all costs" which is fair. But our dog has never done anything like that. So we were fine with it at first. He did all 3 free days and on the last one the manager said our dog "started a fight" which is sooo unlike him! And they said they would give us an extra free day for that....that doesn't make sense! Why would you give a dog that started a fight another free day!? Sounds like the next time we would go in, they would make us pay for some bills for another dog. Not ok. Took him to Bark on Lincoln and it was sooo much better. They even gave us a report card, sent us pictures AND gave us a complimentary portable water bowl, deals on purchases and a roll of poop bags. Never going to this place again.
