My fiancé had a disagreement with the clinic after being told one thing by a previous vet and then being told it would no longer be honored. He was understandably frustrated -- especially when we were suddenly told our dog needed $500 in bloodwork every six months, despite showing zero adverse effects from her current heart medication. I called immediately afterward to calm the situation, apologize, and ensure the clinic could communicate directly with me moving forward. Between our five animals, we have spent over $20k at this clinic in the last couple of years. One of those pets is an 11-year-old dog on palliative care who depends on timely pain and comfort medications -- a completely different animal from the one with heart issues. This morning, Amanda called this morning to inform me that the clinic would no longer provide care for ANY of our five animals, including refusing to refill active, essential prescriptions for a dog currently battling cancer. When I tried to discuss this decision, Amanda yelled at me on the phone, leaving me no choice but to end the call. I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a veterinary clinic. To deny care -- including life-sustaining medication -- to an elderly, terminally ill dog because of an altercation that did not involve me is inhumane, unethical, and indefensible. There was zero compassion, no attempt to problem-solve, and no awareness of the responsibility they carry as medical professionals entrusted with the wellbeing of animals. We are grateful to be moving on to a new veterinary clinic, but it is heartbreaking that it came to this. Our animals deserved far better treatment than what we received at West Denver Vet.

She had 14 wounds requiring staples, and several of them needed drains. There was severe muscle tissue damage, and the vet bills were nearly 3K. Laura claimed that the attack was stopped immediately, but the damage resembled that from a prolonged attack. She did nothing to seek out medical care for our dog, and only left us a voicemail stating that Jordan had been in a "little tiff" with another dog. Once we got Jordan home, it was obvious that this had not been a little tiff, and that she needed care immediately. She could barely walk and had wounds all over her body. Laura repeatedly tried to downplay the seriousness of the situation, refusing to call it an itattack, and stating that sometimes dogs get too excited and nip at one another. This clearly wasn't the case here. Jordan, nearly 11, has never hurt fly, so not only did she not provoke the attack, but the damage was extensive and more than just the result of few nips. The vet seemed shocked by the amount of damage done. Jordan remained under their care for 24 hours, several of which she was in surgery. I could go on and on about the pitiful response to this situation by Laura, but I'll let the picture speak for itself. I would never risk putting my dogs lives in Laura's hands again. I understand that sometimes things happen with dogs, but this was extreme, and Laura handled it terribly to say the least. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Go somewhere else. Edit: I will say that we were eventually reimbursed, but not by Laura. We were reimbursed by the other dogs owner, and only because we filed a report with animal control and they pressed charges. I still have the voicemail Laura left my wife after the attack. There's nothing serious about it. I'll share it with anyone who doubts my review. Jordan has healed physically at this point, but she is incredibly anxious around other dogs now. She probably always will be. If my wife thought Jordan was fine initially, it's because you told her there were two bite marks, and she had her hands full picking up three dogs at once, so she couldn't verify your claim until she got home. There were 14 bite marks requiring staples. More if you counted the minor ones. If you had given Jordan more than a few seconds of attention following the attack, you would have known it was more than two. You should also avoid using quotation marks so carelessly when I doubt you remember my wife's exact words. If she thought Jordan was ok, it was only because she took your word for it. I'm certain that your voicemail, which is an actual recording, is more accurate than your memory. I understand that you have a business to maintain, but this might not be the best situation for you to be arguing about .

To begin with the staff, while friendly and polite are obviously disempowered, not well paid so they don't really care, and they have no problem saying - as they did to me - "yeah, well we aren't professionals." The place reeks of urine and has no outdoor area and apparently no ventilation. We watched as dogs were unattended and bigger agressive dogs were humping and bullying smaller dogs -- pointed this out as it was happening on the closed circut video to staff. They claimed to have bathed and deshedded our dog (also said they gave him the "spa" treatment and tried to charge for it but put up no arguement when we pointed out they clearly didn't do the work that was promised. When we went to get our dog he was wet, stank strongly of shampoo as did our hands after rubbing him so we can only assume he wasn;t thoroughly rinsed, and hair was coming off in clouds so he never received the deshedding. This place is a joke and worse. Don't waste your time and money, and most importantly, don't put your dog at risk.

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. Within 5 minutes we were able to re-establish the training methods that work and get Hope back on track with easy leash walking. I am so impressed with her concise easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me.
