Usually I don't have a problem with the store but the last time I was in there it was cold and I had just gotten off my motorcycle I hadn't removed my helmet because I just got in the store I was looking at something getting ready to remove my helmet and one of the staff told me that I needed to take off my helmet off in the store which I was just about to do they lost the sale because of this I'm not a child I don't need to be reminded and I'm not a criminal it was very rude of them I know it's you know maybe proper and standard procedure but again I had literally just entered the store it had been less than 2 seconds if they're so nervous that people are going to steal things maybe they shouldn't be in business read more

AWFUL. I drove in this chaotic traffic to come pick up items for work and arrived at 6:32pm. The doors were locked. Hours state that they close at 7pm. I turned around thinking I possibly attempted to open the wrong door. As I approached again someone was walking out. I asked if they were closed and he said yes. The very rude associate rushed to the door and said something very abruptly along the lines of she is busy and she will unlock the door in a minute. Turns around and closes the door. I will take my business elsewhere where I feel appreciated. I will not spend my money at a business that tolerates this behavior. It shouldn't be hard to be polite when you are being paid to be in the Customer Service industry. If you hate your job.. do everyone a favor... find another!! read more

Pretty good work wear store. Has some good options and decent priced stuff. The store is kinda small but still has some decent selections. I had bought some workboots for my job and not wearing boots for may years i was affraid of tired feet and dragging them around. Customer service was helpful and knowledgeable. Told them my concerns and wants and they gave me a few pairs to try one. I have a size 14 foot but need a 13 size boot and they had plenty to try which was great. I ended up buying the better of the ones they had and glad i did. It was well worth the money. I got the timberland pros which had the long day foot fatigue inserts, steel toe, static, water and oil resistance. Have had them for a long time and still working great. Never had any days were i was tired or feet hurting from the boots. Then i have gotten some work sneakers too for my light days and my vacuum decided to eat the shoelaces and shredded them. So looking for a good heavy duty shoe lace called them uo and again had a few choice. Off I went and got a pair and still they are holding up great (months later). They have many more work wear stuff like jackets, shirts, pants, high visibility clothing, belts and still way more stuff. If you are looking for stuff not in there stock but another location has it they will send it to the location your at or one that works better for you if you wanna try it or buy it at no charge. Some things in life you can by cheap and some things you can't. So for me my work gear i want the better stuff, you work to pay bills, live life, and have a home and supoort a family. So you want to be comfortable in your work gear, these I will buy and get the foods cause in the long run it will be worth it. From my experiences of buying cheap was a waste of money in my opinion. And they have the better stuff here. My feet and back thank me each day i get up and go to work. read more

Came in here today and I saw one girl on duty(unless I didn't see another employee nearby). Wish I would've got her name because she gave great customer service. She was on point with everyone and making sure everyone was greeted and taken cared of. She kept checking on me and recommended me boots while I was deciding what I wanted. Large selection in boots. very nice people, was looking for a place that sells Whites Smokejumpers or Nicks Hotshots near me in Santa Rosa, but not every store advertises that they have them so tracking them down was a little tricky and really didnt feel like traveling very far, however the coming up season for Cal Fire was coming fast so i needed to get new boots asap... so i clicked the Dealer Locator button on the nicks boots website and Barebones popped up and was one of the closest places (all three locations in Sac) so it was either here or down in Hercules. I called Barebones (the one off of Ikea since it was a bit closer) and asked if they carried the nicks or if they had whites. the guy was very nice and said he belives he has whites and another brand of boot similar in stock, then while still on the phone he walked over to them and confirmed that they did and said they have several sizes (i confirmed they had my size too) and told him i was driving from the north bay so i would be there in like an hour and a half. when i got there the front desk lady greeted me and pointed me in the right direction and asked if i was the one that called. i tried on two sizes, purchased the right ones, they gave me a few free stickers and left a happy man... i reccomended this place to a few guys already, the store was pretty big with a big selection of work boots and apparel read more

I tried taking a pair of my husbands pants back that he didnt try on but bought 2 pair in the same size. One pair ended up being too small for him. He had already pulled the tags off (probably thinking they would fit since the other pair did) and Dorothy at the Rocklin location (where we reside) refused to accept our original receipt. Called the W Sac store since thats where my husband stopped on the way down to Napa to assist with the fires back on Aug 22 and has not been home since! Spoke to the woman manager with an accent, she promised she would call me back and here I sit, no word! More importantly, WHY do I even have to explain my husband's situation?? As a woman walking into a 'work clothing store' I am used to people assuming that I'm lost, or shopping for my husband or something to that effect. So, in all honesty, I expected that at bare bones. As I walked in however, the 2 female employees barely acknowledged my presence and seemed to be annoyed that I was there at all. After a few mins, when I found the work boots I was looking for, I pretty much had to beg one of the employees for help. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Also, this shop is very limited in regards to women's work wear, all they had are a few shirts, pants, and mainly scrubs. As if women don't work doing plumbing, electrical or HVAC. Really ridiculous. My company had a customer who needed a large number of shirts TODAY by 2:30 and I am, sadly, out of stock. I called the West Sac store, because it's closest to both my business as well as my customer. I explained the situation to Liz, who answered the phone. She didn't have all of them in stock, but she called a number of other locations and tracked down everything I needed, which took quite a bit of time. Well here's an update and not a pleasant one! As the store gets older I notice the supply of scrub colors decrease and never seem to restock? Every visit the brand I buy always runs out of colors less and less...so I wonder do they ever restock? I asked one of the clerks here he said once a week but that didn't seem true. I guess early bird gets the worm. Anyways what made me even more disappointed of this place is one clerk slim blonde chick at the register, I came in looking for a stethoscope found the one I wanted pointed it out, took a closer look and asked her put it back (open box display) and grab another black one for me to purchase. She gave me this look as if I was stupid and states "this is black" I looked at her back and said, "well that's an open box display random people have been touching, I would like a new black unopened box" she then huffs and puffs as if grabbing another box under the display box was so difficult. I let it go...as my back was turned talking to my BF, I used my the corner of my eye to glance at her every now and then..She took a couple of seconds yet I did see her close a box, I assumed she was putting away the display opened box back and didn't want to judge her cause I could have been wrong. As I finished my transaction I asked her if this was a new box she stated yes and there was another look of rolling her eyes. I trusted her and didn't want to be a bad person and assume the worst nor make a scene. As I got into the car I opened the box and sure enough it was the DISPLAY OPENED BOX STETHOSCOPE!! I was extremely annoyed and pissed off! This BITCH really had the nerve! How do I know? Well new stethoscopes don't have finger prints and ear debris and dust on them if the box was closed! This is disgusting but me I rather just sanitize it instead of regulating on her ASS. It's like seriously if you hate your job that much don't FUCKING work there! Every time I see her now I just get pissed off ugh! GET THAT GARBAGE OUT THERE, SHE DOESNT DESERVE TO WORK IF SHES WORKING HALF ASS! Oh yeah! This was my second time in and it was even better of an experience than the first. Went in originally for a pair of work pants, Melissa helped me find what I was looking for. Even though they didn't have in stock what I was looking for she gave me the option of ordering. That was great! While I was there I asked about my boots that I bought there 6 months ago. Although they were still in ok shape, they had a one year warranty. Melissa said they would replace them free of charge!! After all the work she did I wanted to buy something! She rings me up and says no charge, I had a 10 dollar reward on my account from previous purchases! This store and staff are great and I will continue to frequent them. Good job!! read more

Great store! Really good selection of work wear. I went in to buy a hooded sweatshirt, hooded, and had a choice of about 6 or 8 different styles from different manufacturers. It's always nice to have a choice. Will never shop at bare bones again. The customer service was disrespectful. Went in to purchase a pair of wolverine boots and 5 pairs of work pants, just for starters. Not only did we not get greeted when we walked in. But we we're ignored the thirty minutes that we were there. They wouldn't even make eye contact. When my husband went up to pay, the cashier Liz didn't even bother to acknowledge him until he said, I'd like to buy these boots. She then said yeah ok and turned her back on him. I then said is that how you address your customers here? She mumbled something and said, no. I then informed her about us being there for thirty minutes with no offer to help. Her reply was, I was on a break. My husband purchased the boots, but I took my business elsewhere to purchase everything else. I checked this barebones location out yesterday. I wish I could give them more stars because the customer service was awesome! I was helped by Steve and he was courteous and helped me promptly. I was looking for a type of women's work pants made by a major brand they carry. They had no pants by the brand for women. They didn't even carry any canvas womens pants by ANY brands. Steve told me that other locations do carry a small variety of sizes other the canvas pants. He called the other locations in the area and had them both send over what they had! I'm only leaving 3 stars because women work outdoors and do labor jobs other than nursing, it's difficult finding work wear for us. The women's section here was literally just one rack tucked into the corner. Please accommodate us that do so we can give you business! The future is female, after all. read more
