I really wanted to love this place, but am sad to not have had a better experience! I went today for my first bikini, full leg, & underarm wax. There are a few elements to review here. First, the girls working were all kind. My waxer maintained conversation throughout the entire waxing process to help distract from what I'd think would be a pretty painful & uncomfortable process for most people (I have a pretty high pain tolerance). My first negative was the fact that they never took the time to explain to me what in the world was going on and what I needed to do post-wax. Thankfully, I'm a researcher, so I had a good idea of what to expect walking into my appointment, but my waxer didn't explain a single aspect of the wax to me - just went ahead and started, despite clarifying it was my first wax. When I was leaving, they handed me a couple mini aftercare products and said bye. I wasn't bold enough to ask what they were because I felt very much like I was being rushed out, so again, I researched and determined a good course of action. I feel as though if you have someone who is coming for a first wax, you really need to be clear what is going on and especially what the aftercare process should look like, you don't want them to mess anything up! My second biggest complaint is the amount of bruising I have! Unfortunately I can't upload pictures of this because of the location (bikini wax), but it is pretty significant. Also based on research, I think this could be due to the technique used by my waxer that led to this not being the best experience (not making the skin taut, rewaxing the same area, etc.). Had I known these things in advance I would have spoken up, but here we are :( One suggestion I'd make to this place would be to also figure out a way to make the rooms slightly more private. They have the layout of the waxing rooms with the waxing tables/beds facing so that, if laying down, your legs/private area is facing towards the door. I mention this because, if the door opens for any reason, you would be completely exposed to the brows/lashes area of the salon. My waxer stepped out of the room and asked me to remove my underwear and lay on the table, but I wasn't comfortable doing that until she was back in the room with me, knowing that the door would swing open and I'd be exposed to who knows how many people! Probably worth considering switching the tables to another wall to protect the privacy of the clients!! However, one of the perks of this place was that they treated my service dog with so much kindness. They were very welcoming and had no issues whatsoever with her coming into the business. I'm always so thankful for places that are accommodating of ADA like this!! read more

I've been going here for the last 4 months or so and have regally enjoyed it! The prices are reasonable, service is quick, workers are pleasant, and it's easy to get an appt. They offer a lot of different services and sell items like lotion and various skin creams. Lol but you need to look at their book on display about a woman who needs to shave her beaver - sooo funny !! The employees are great at their job. They tend to use hard wax and afterwards go over with a tweezer with some nice aloe as aftercare. The employees prefer tips in cash, so that is something to consider. Also next door is the French bakery, and this shopping center also has an amazing Indian restaurant Mumbai Grill and Korean restaurant 3 Sisters. read more

I have been here twice for a Brazilian wax with Bethany and she is outstanding! The first time I went to her was the first time I've ever waxed down there, and I'm gonna be honest it really really hurts. I want to start off by saying the ladies here were extremely nice. They were professional and friendly. However, I HATED my actual wax. I typically go to The Naked Monkey, but they had no appointments available before my vacation so I stopped into Bare. I worked with Jade and got a full Brazilian. She was very nice, but as soon as she told me she used to work at a speed waxing place, I knew it'd be extremely painful. The waxing was one of the most painful waxes I've ever received. She also missed many hairs. As she's waxing me she told me bruising was normal, but I've never ever bruised from a wax at Naked Monkey. I was bruised from a Brazilian wax for about 5-6 days. As you can see in the picture I was purple, blue and yellow. I wouldn't recommend nor will I be back. read more

Since I have bragged about Bare Wax giving me great service in the past only to find out that they really are more interested in the money and not the service I felt obligated to also share the other side of the story. I don't want you to ever be disservice's like this! Beware Bare Wax may have Beautiful decor ...but the give terrible service! Beware if you call in and ask if you should still come in today because you were at a dead stop on the interstate due to construction, and am now moving but GPS says you'll be 15 late and ask What would they like you to do, reschedule? They will tell you they will check with your stylist to see what she would like you to do... If your stylus is Zoe, she will tell you "sure come on in" but will stop short of completing your lashes and tell you to complete them you need to book another appointment at full charge! When you are shocked and confirm she got your message you'd be 15 late and asked if should come in.... She told me... Oh yes because if you didn't come in I wouldn't get paid. So now you want me to come back in to finish the job that you need to complete... Yes that's what happens when you're late, I was told. So I booked the appointment for a few days later... came in and paid full price. But it was bothering me I have to admit because it's such a disservice. I'm in the hair industry it would never have cut somebody's hair and require them to come back in and pay full price because I was unwilling to finish it for them. My mind is blown... I went ahead and scheduled my next two appointments only to receive a text message stating after much prayer the team has determined that I would be happier and another salon. Really! By the way... They are right! I am happier at another place. Don't let the beauty of this salon for you... Apparently Zoe is not the only one that gives DIS-SERVICE! I've gone to Bare for a couple Brazilian waxes and a lash lift. I've had Haley for each of these appointments. I'd highly recommend her, she's extremely personable and knows what she's doing! The lash lift didn't take long at all and my results lasted for almost two months. She explained everything she was doing. For the Brazilian waves I've had, they weren't as bad as I was fearing they'd be from a pain perspective. It was 100% less awkward than I was expecting it to be as well, and I give Haley credit for that. Sadly I no longer live on that side of town, otherwise I'd be back for more services. so ive been waxing for a while now and i went here cause its in my hometown, it was great service BUT it hurt soo much. Keep in mind my first wax was on my period and way more sensitive and this just hurt. I did the basics, exfoliate after waxing but low and behold... ingrown hairs...never in my waxing life have i got them but I did, my waxer seems to have pulled off some skin and didnt pull the hair out just break it. Olivia was very "fluid" during the waxing service so it was essentially painless. She talked me through the entire lash lift and tint service but also respected when I wanted to just relax in the quiet. I've gone to this location probably about 5 times. The first few times I went I got a full Brazilian and everything was fine. This last time I went I decided to just get a bikini wax. Mistake. The hair on my vagina forms a staircase. Half of if is about an inch further up than the other side. Like the hair starts to go across, and then there's a very solid, clear line where it just jumps down. It's crazy looking. The only mirror in the room was at a height where I could only see my head, so I didn't see it before I got home which was much later that night. I tried to contact them and see if there was anything they could do to either fix it or compensate me and they never responded. So I guess if you want to get everything removed this place is as good as any, but Idk if I'd trust much else. Staff is super friendly and fun though read more
