Here's the accurate, current breakdown: Clinique's official policy Clinique says: * They do not conduct animal testing themselves * They do not ask suppliers to test * Except where required by law That last clause is the deciding factor. The China factor (this is where confusion comes from) China historically required animal testing for imported cosmetics.
