Fist time being here and as you walk in you are met with signs showing that they support our troops and believe in the all mighty. Then you walk into the actual building and it has a rustic barn feel. My husband ordered 1/2 lb brisket with green beans and I had a baked potato with rib meat and 2 sides which were Mac n cheese and potato salad. The brisket was juicy and flavorful( that's coming from someone who doesn't like brisket) and the green beans tasted like heaven. The baked potato was fluffy and super buttery (which I love). The piles of ribs on tops under a blanket of cheese was amazing. The ribs are smoked and tender with the Mac n cheese and potato salad on the side it was just delightful. The Mac n cheese was super creamy yet tacky enough to stick together. If you dig pickles the potato salad is for you. It is really good only thing is that I'm not a pickle fan unfortunately. Like I said if you like pickles this is a must have. All in all our meal was great!! We will be coming back! So if you're in the area (gatesville tx ) stop in and tell them you read this yelp review!!!

    What is this rib?!

What the heck were these ribs?! Undercooked ribs. Had to put effort to pull them off the bone... cooked in nothing but pepper. Slimey Mac and cheese tasted like kraft Mac and cheese.... Fried pickles in old smelling oil...

My family and I love taking the extra drive out to Bare Bones BBQ just for their delicious BBQ! I tried their Brisket and its sooo juicy and flavorful. My husband liked their Mac & Cheese. My baked potato was really loaded and yummy! If you didn't know, you can ask them for a side of Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, it's served warm and it pairs with the Garlic sausage so perfectly! My in-laws liked their Turkey and rice. Our overall experience here was great because the workers went above and beyond for us. I think next time we will come back during live music nights!

The service overall was great. The staff were very wholesome and welcoming and created a great first time experience that we came again a few days later. The food was absolutely delicious. The mac & cheese was the perfect cheesy creamy flavor to them. The pulled pork was fantastic on its own without sauce needing to be added to it which was nice! The food was so good I ended up ordering the same thing twice and got their banana pudding cake (10/10 recommend getting that if you're in the mood for dessert). There was plenty of seating. We got to see a live performance which was fun! They def support their locals and love their community.

Greatest thing Texas ever did was great drive-through barbecue

Love it! Love the belly pack. It's my favorite, but the desserts are good too. Try it, you won't regret it. Good atmosphere too.

While the restaurant is nice, it is new, the food is terrible. The bbq is definitely not prepared on the premises.

Best restaurant in G'ville. Ribs are the best. Not overly greasy, fall off the bone. All the meat is to die for. Typical sides.

Was very pleased with the brisket, and sweet tea. The potatoes salad was not good at all, but the brisket made up for it.

Well today was indeed next time; I wish it was life changing kind of amazing but what I got was just okay. Like all BBQ legends the best places are started by people with passion for BBQ in a small trailer with a dream. Marshalls Comeback BBQ is in a tiny trailer just off the road, the people there seem quite nice and greeted me with a smile. I asked what was good and the lady told me the ribs, so I asked for a half a rack of ribs, and a baked potato with just sour cream, butter and cheese. What I got smelled nice in the car but when I got home to open the box the big heavy box was a potato, and the light almost empty feeling box was the half rack of ribs. Total cost was $21, in today's day and age of McDdonalds meals coasting $12 I didn't baulk at the price at all. That said opening the box to find what's really 3 ribs, and a huge potatoe swimming in BBQ sauce I couldn't help but be a little bummed. Turns out I actual kinda liked the baked potato but that's only when compared to the ribs. With a Texas Monthly top 50 restaurant only 40 min from home in Belton I have become spoiled with what I think is amazing BBQ. The ribs are a few levels below what I am willing to pay for, so sadly I don't think I will be in the biggest of hurry's to go back to Marshall's Comeback BBQ, I hope and pray I just caught them on a bad day. 2.5 stars is my review, and that cause they were really nice, and I ended up kind of liking the baked potato that was made wrong.

Plenty of parking, right off the main road, and more room inside than it appears. Waitress was on the job, excellent friendly service, was right there to take drink orders, and checked up on us throughout the meal. They were actually standing there waiting for us to sit with the chips and salsa. Definitely had the look of a local favorite, we were there after the lunch rush, I'm sure it's packed on weekend nights. All the food came out really fast, but was all fresh, tasty, and hit the spot. The menu had tons of variety, will take multiple visits to work through. That Texas staple, sweet tea, was especially good, had a lot of flavour served in large glasses. Would almost be worth stopping in during the summer just for some of the tea! Really nice space for a meal, and very friendly service!
