We came here on a hot summer day looking for something to make this best bearable and that's exactly what we got. The beer from this brewery was AMAZING and the staff were so welcoming to us. While they do not have a lot of options as it is a local craft brewery, everything they do have is delicious and I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Waco. They have a lot of board games and card games that you can grab and take to your table which was really nice to have especially while drinking with friends. The restaurant also offers various pizzas and the 2 that we had were delicious! We had a garlic meatball pizza and a pizza with all the meats! I totally recommend giving this place a try. read more

I love this place, beer is cold service is great! Barbecue is available too, this is my new place to hang out...

Hey, Great craft beer at Bare Arms. Sampled the IPA and it was very tasty. While waiting for a table at Magnolia Table, walk on over to Bare Arms and have a brew. Now us guys have a reason to stop in Waco with our ladies. read more

Hands down the best brewery in Waco! Ha as of now it's the only brewery in Waco but still had some great beers. The ipa and stout were my absolutely fave! They served their flights in little muffin tins which was adorable. Next work trip I'll definitely return! read more

Do not let the curb appeal fool you, this IS an actual brewery with a tap room! Once you enter, the staff is welcoming and very knowledgeable about their product(s). I recommend the Lux Lager, 1869, or Turbulence. Have different tastes?, just ask and the team will be sure to recommend the tap that will best fit your palate. Just remember this tap room is not a full service restaurant; they do not have a food menu. The beer is so good, you will not miss the food! read more

I have been to a lot of breweries..at least 100, probably way more. Based off of taste alone, this is honestly one of the best that I've been to. I tried all six of the beers on their menu and I liked all of them. It is rare that I like all of the beers at a brewery, but in this case I did. I even liked the IPA which I am not normally a fan of. Come give this place a try. read more

Great little gem of a brewery in Waco. The beer here is serious. We had the barrel aged Trebuchet, which is damn near perfect at 11% abv. Creamy pumpkin stout, but not overly spiced. The Java Joule is strong and delicious, but you taste the coffee, not the chocolate. Still a great beer. The guys behind the bar are very knowledgeable and friendly. They could tell us about all 11 beers on tap in detail. They offers crowlers, fill growlers & sell flights if you are so inclined. And they have a great selection of geeky games to play as you pass the time. Card games & board games. BBQ trailer out front, but we didn't partake. This time, at least. This place is small but genuine. And enough to entice us to return. I definitely enjoy drinking good beer with real people, and that's what you get here. What a great place to spend some time in Waco. read more

Don't let my three star review keep you from going to this place. BAB is not bad, it's average - maybe even a little better than average. They had a reasonable offering of beers although we only sampled two - Lux Lager and Turbulence IPA. My wife had the lager which was an unimpressive beer but good for those who are not crafties. The IPA was just as described by the server as malty and hoppy without the feeling of having a pine tree up your nose. Neither beer was great but both were good. The brewpub area is on the smallish side when the events room is in use as it was when we there. Again, nothing compelling, not much charm but it was air conditioned which is better than many warehouse style tap rooms. Bar service was good and the server was well informed and polite. I would go again, I've just been to places that I was more impressed with. read more

A nice, low-key place to enjoy a beer & chill. Looks like a middle-aged crowd in here in the afternoon, my guess is it's a Baylor hangout, but not students necessarily. Not a trace of redneck. read more

Not much going on they had music playing for about 15 minutes then it just shut off. When I asked about the hops and methods the bartender had no knowledge of the beer or how it was brewed, he told me "I like beer like i like my hot dogs, I would rather not know whats in it." disappointing when all you serve is your own brews. read more

Beer flight was ok. 5 of 6 beers very tasty but did not care for the berry beer. Place was recommended by a local but when I mentioned that the bartender was not friendly and could care less. Not really made to feel welcome. Would not go back which is sad because I like to eat and drink locally whenever I travel and we had money to spend here. read more

Enjoyed the beer not the company. The bartender was as friendly as a wet noodle. Too busy filling crowlers to talk to his one of four customers. For shame read more

This is a fairly new start up business. Keith, the brew master, has the passion to create great taste. LoVe the beers, the customer service, the homey atmosphere. It is only beer, no food. But a guy outside was selling delicious Nathan Hot Dogs. What a great combo! So glad we found it. Go check it out yourself. You won't be disappointed. read more

Of the three current breweries in Waco, this is the best IMO. Air conditioning is a huge plus from one of the competitors. Other perks is the friendly staff, options to great board games and video games. They offer trivia nights as well. Now about the beer, some of them aren't necessarily my taste but they have a great lager and sour. The food truck next to the brewery supplies delicious food as well. If you're in the area and want a good beer, go to bare arms. read more

Great beer and superb customer service . Ron is the shit. He's a true centaur :) we'll definitely be back

This is a fun place to kick back and have a few beers. We have been multiple times and stayed for a few hours each time. We even decided to stop by why we had our kid. We played games and I enjoyed a beverage. read more

Bare arms brewing is a great place. We stopped in while waiting for Magnolia Table (right across the street) and stayed for a few hours. Actually canceled our reservation to stay a while longer. Good beers, very nice staff, gave several recommendations of local sites to see and places to eat. And Bbq too. We spent a couple hours here...they have board games and card games to play...super fun family place. local patrons were so nice recommending local places to eat. Triple B's Bbq (on site) is awesome. We had the 3 meat combo, nachos with pulled pork, and street tacos. The Hawaiian pulled pork was excellent as well as the street tacos. The slaw was a bit spicy for my taste. My favorite beer was the Blue Cat Ale, very good flavor not too hoppy, goes great with the bbq. read more

Great beer and the owners/workers are very friendly. Every time i.go.there is an eclectic.mix of people there. They have game.night. i have not.made it.there yet but would like to! Great beer and they often have a new one when i go. read more

A good selection...fave was the 1884 or something like that. Brewer was friendly & the place is dog friendly. Would return again for sure. I forgot my growler but they do fills only, one fill & 2nd is half off. read more

Finally we were in Waco at the right time to visit Bare Arms. We had a great visit. Ron took good care of us and explained the beers. Java Stout and Pi were my favorites of the evening, but all the brews I had were well made. Keep up the good work. They just expanded the space so plenty of room. read more

We were from the midwest and decided to visit Waco for a few days. We were trying to hit any open breweries during our time there and happened to find Bare Arms. We definitely were apprehensive when driving up to to the building, but once we tasted the brews we knew it was totally worth it. Definitely some of the best brews we tasted while down South. The inside was also newly remodeled and the bar tender was awesome, as were the locals that stopped in! read more

Great spot for a nice cold beer after a long day at Magnolia! Tasty beer and good conversation Thanks for the excellent tip for Hard Eight BBQ in Stephenville...delicious! read more

We drove in from Houston so my wife could visit the silos in Waco. Found this place and loved it. Family friendly down to earth all around good people! BAB beer game is on point read more

Delicious craft beers, cool and cozy atmosphere with games, and great folks! I recommend joining their Mug Club if you're a local!

If you're from Dallas or Austin then you know good beer. These beers are horrible. If you're passing through, then be patient and wait for a good brewery in Austin or Dallas! I'd compare Bare Arms to a low grade Sam Adams......not good! read more

Great selection of unique beers brewed onsite. Relaxed tasting room to swing by after work for a beer with friends, and they have a monthly trivia night and seasonal tasting block parties. Their beers are available at several Waco area restaurants now, but stop by the brewery for a wider selection of new beers and to chat up the owners. read more

This brewery was really great! The patrons were super friendly and helpful, given that my boyfriend and I are from New Jersey just visiting. Their selection of beers was great, their prices are good, and the whole atmosphere felt like home even though we were thousands of miles away. read more

Don't be intimidated by the outside...yummy beer lurks behind those doors. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Fresh rotation of beers to try. Get here already! read more

This is a small place that's only been open for a year. However they brew some incredible beers. The IPA & coffee stout brewed with locally roasted coffee are amazing. They have two seasonal honey beers brewed with Texas honey that are the best honey beers I've had. My favorite brew was the mix of the IPA & coffee stout, really amazing stuff read more

The beer is great. And cheap. Perfect combo. The people are even better. Yes, the location isn't pretty/fancy. But to me, that means it's legit, and not trying to be anything more than a place to get good beer and have a great convo with the people behind the bar. I also think it's interesting that whether you're wanting a college guy's night out, or a mom's night out, or anything in between, this place feels right for everyone (I've been to places where I felt it was a bro's hangout and I didn't really fit it). Also, if you get hungry, there is an amazing BBQ truck parked out back. read more

Great craft brewery in Waco. Coming from PA this place matches and exceeds many of our local stellar breweries. The coffee stout is delicious and the pale ale was enjoyable. The root beer was delicious for the kiddos - very vanilla and honey based. Board games are available for more fun with friends or family. read more

We love these guys! We go for the turbulence IPA but have tried many of the others ones and they're all great. They've recently expanded and redone the interior which will be nice for all the awesome events they do. read more

I really enjoyed their lux beer. Unfortunately it was all we got to try. The place is only open for 2 hrs. When we tried to order a second beer at about 10 minutes before closing we were told the taps were closed. So really, they're open for an hour and 45 minutes. read more

We were on a little vacation checking out Waco and looking for something to do... found it on Yelp and called the place. Guy said it looks sketchy on the outside but very cool on the inside. He was correct and it was in a safe location. Would recommend if visiting and like a good beer/beers. My fav was the 1849 followed by the coffee beer. read more
