We had such a lovely time! Absolutely delicious wines and I am very picky about Texas wines. The service was very friendly. We enjoyed sitting outside. I highly recommend that everyone stop by if in the area. You won't regret it!! read more

Lovely owners and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and with all the plans they have, it's going to be the winery to watch! With some nice outdoor furniture , tables etc: this is and will be a Fabulous venue ! We loved it and will make this a regular stop. read more

This was the best experience! They have a lovely rooftop patio, lights, a view, and live music on the weekends! They also have outdoor heaters which were perfect. We were served by the very knowledgeable and fun Wendy. We got our flights for tasting (4 for $10) and she was very helpful in helping us pick which wines to taste. While we were tasting, Jim, the winemaker himself, came to our table and asked us about the wines and taught us how to correctly taste wine. It was so interesting learning about where the wine came from and the history from him. THEN the food came we ordered the Brie and the charcuterie board. The Brie was immaculate!! I am still thinking about it. And there wasn't a single thing on the cheese board I didn't like! We also all enjoyed the Central Coast red blend so we got a bottle of that. Overall it was a great experience! read more

If you've ever been on a weekend trip to Waco, you realize you don't need the entire weekend. With that being said, my mom & I decided to hit up this local winery. It was empty when we got there, but it made it fun. We tried a few different wines & got to see the cool black light room where they have a bunch of artwork hanging and it's just really unique! We had a fun time! read more

I'm not sure how this place has such a high rating, their wine is terrible. We had three glasses and all left wine in the glass when we finished. The rooftop patio was fairly generic and the smoking took away from any atmosphere they had. I'd recommend finding some place else on your travels through Waco. Update: Four months later I received a rather sarcastic reply from the business owner. read more

Waco Winery has quickly turned into one of my favorite after-work/weekend hang outs. It's relaxed, there's live music, menu is reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and welcoming. My only regret is that I didn't discover this spot sooner! Waco Winery is also in walking distance to several other attractions such as the silos, Hippodrome, and several cute boutiques and restaurants to name a few. read more

The Waco Winery has been here in their new location on Austin Ave for only 3 weeks. And the space is great! From the street level entry door you walk upstairs to enter a large comfortable rooms and are warmly greeted at the door. They have an assortment of upholstered sofa and chairs as well as locally well-made tables and chairs scattered about. Choose where you'd like to sit and if it's really comfortable, they are also all for sale! The colorful art on the wall is also from local artists and available for sale. Having just been exploring the area and noting the Wine Tasting sign on the door, I was curious about what local Texas wines might be like. Trey was my server and besides being very informative about the winery and wines, we had a great extended conversation about life in general. Taste in wine is very personal and I enjoyed trying the samples of five from their choices. More than the wine though, it was the experience that left the biggest impression. I'm sure they'll do well in their new location and I recommend others to enjoy the Waco Winery experience too. read more

In Waco for the Tech/Baylor night game, so we tried out the winery. So glad we did! The gentleman who helped us was so friendly & knowledgeable. We all tried different flights & came up with our favs, as well as purchasing bottles to take home. The winery is on its way back after getting hit hard from 2020 & Texas' "snowmageddon". We enjoyed the amazing weather on the patio & wish them all the best as they continue here! Will definitely return when in Waco! read more

Ended our weekend in Waco, TX over a wine tasting. Very good wines especially liked the Texas Dry and Peach. We bought a bottle of the Texas Dry. Lady providing the tasting was very knowledgeable and nice. The place wasn't the nicest winery I've been too but the views and sunset made up for it. read more

This place was a blast. Live music outside on the top of a building. Beautiful space and cozy surroundings. They have a decent selection of wines. Sadly the one I wanted was not available to purchase yet. This is a promising winery with some sweet wines and some red varietals. Our winery attendant was great. She was very knowledgeable and kind. We absolutely LOVED Waco Winery! Ashton was our servicer and his expertise on wine was phenomenal! Having him do our wine tasting was informative, tasty and fun. He knows wine and he really know WW wines. I recommend trying the chocolate rose and the Texas Peach. Two we would have never tried without Ashton's recommendation - we took home a botter of each, they were that good! read more

Sounded promising - nice name, Austin Avenue location - but disappointing. Upstairs location, wine tasting room booked for an event, Black Light room with art on wall a little weird, rooftop patio had no ambiance or view. Server couldn't remember which wine was which... read more

Should have gone to the brewery instead of coming here. We had flights of wines and they did not have much flavor. One of the wines we wanted they no longer had. Another wine was not available as part of a flight. I don't understand that. Why are there so many rules as to what I can and can't have? We asked for a cheese platter and sadly, they don't have any kind of food after their "remodel". Who serves wine without cheese? They did have live music, but it didn't make up for the mediocre wine. read more

We came for the Stagecoach Wine Trail & the checkin was a breeze, nice table set up either inside or the rooftop. They however didn't have the three wines I wanted to sample, so I opted for the Red Sangria & it was delicious! If I'm back this way, I'd stop & get some more. No chocolate truffles though read more

Stopped in on girls weekend after visiting the silos. This place needs a little more thought put into it. Staff didn't greet us when we came upstairs, so we weren't sure whether to seat ourselves. We did the wine tasting- We were thrown off by the scratched cheap wine glasses that were etched from a BMW dealership out of Tyler and they sprayed out our glass with a water solution and dumped it into a bowl and left it on the table The price for the tasting is very reasonable though. But we weren't impressed with any part of the place to buy a bottle to take home. read more

Honestly...we were excited when we saw a rooftop winery across from Portofinos when we google mapped it for lunch. The two wines and the service we had at Portofinos definitely outclassed the 5 wines we tasted at Waco Winery.....And here is why....1. The person who attended us at Waco Winery was as lack luster in her enthusiasm about serving us as her attitude about fulfilling our order request for OUR tasting. 2. The wines were just sweet and had a terribly dry mouth feel...like a cats tongue for over an hour afterwards i couldnt shake it....it ...was..deplorable...I absolutely HATE to leave a negative review but they gave me no reason to do otherwise.....Although we didnt try it....Sundays are $5 sangrias made with their wine...so if you like sweet and dont mind a dry wine GO FOR IT....Please go try Waco Winery for yourself....I would LOVE to hear what your opinion is.... read more

Cool location. Cool inside used for gatherings and they have live music weekends. I don't think I liked any of the wines :( I was sad cause I was really looking forward to this place. 10 dollars a task for 5 wines. Small pours. :( read more

Very small; we almost missed it. However, that made it very relaxed. Being able to sit down for the tasting was much nicer than the usual standing tastings. Very limited selection and the sweeter wines were definitely better than their dry. Friendly staff and a lot of room for growth! If I could give -10 I would! No idea how this place has such good reviews! I was told there was new management.... tried twice.... I would rather drink Carlos Rossi Owner was aggressive and overly talkative. Didn't like a single minute of our time. Do not go here. There is another winery called Kissing Tree, it's more expensive but you get what you pay for I suppose. read more

Best sangria I have had in my life! No exaggeration. My friends who tried the sampler loved each wine they tried -- especially the peach and the chocolate dessert wine. Their outdoor rooftop patio was fabulous but chilly on the evening we went, so we sat inside. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. We're no wine experts, so this was really helpful. I'll definitely be back the next time we're in Waco. One thing to be mindful of -- the only food option is the meat and cheese plates, so don't come in hungry. This would be a great happy hour or after-dinner stop. read more

The wine is bad. The service is good. Again, the wine is bad if you have any discernible palate. I tried three wines and I could not finish them. Cool to have a rooftop bar I guess though... if you're okay with smoking. read more

Jason helped us through our tasting and patiently answered all our questions about the wine, business, and vineyards themselves. He's a wonderful part of the experience! We loved every wine we tasted but I found a favorite in the semi-sweet Porch Red while my girlfriend adored the Plantation Red. I personally thought both were brilliant. Come for the wine, stay for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. That was an amazing way to spend a couple hours on a lazy Saturday and you'll definitely be seeing us there again. read more

Our server was kind and attentive. The weather was very cold the day we went, but blankets and heating lamps were provided, which helped to make the experience great! The wines are all local, and each one I tried was really good. The outdoor patio had live music which made it a really fun experience, and the indoor seating areas were also warm and inviting. I had a great experience and I would certainly go again! read more

The wine was not good at all. Service sucked. We did a tasting of all but one of the wines. Definitely not a winery I would go back too

Good wine with a view and great service! Glad Waco has such a cool wine spot to visit when I'm down.

Great location! The rooftop has a nice atmosphere with water misters that made it comfortable even though it's summertime in Waco. We really enjoyed our visit and the wine was great. My husband was able to sample several types of wine before he made a decision on what to buy. read more

Came on a Saturday night. 50% of the tables on the patio were filled, and we still received terrible service. Our waiter forgot us, while still managing to go to their other tables. The wine is terrible. Smells and tastes like rubbing alcohol. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is due to the fact that they had an awesome acoustic twosome playing music. read more

Stumbled upon this place after leaving an event at the Silo. Ashton greeted us and invited us out to the patio. He was very attentive and knowledgeable of the wine they served. I want to start with the most important thing... The wine here is WONDERFUL!! with that said... This winery recently changed hands and they are doing a great job of building a "new" business. Go out and support this great wine and establishment. read more

Wines are very good. Strawberry lemonade sangria is amazing. Servers very attentive.

We went with high expectations based on the reviews. However, we found none of the wines to be something we would purchase.
