Barcode may be a lounge, but they also offer takeout. Yum! Our combo plates were delicious from here. I got their kabob plate, and it was delicious. There was some confusion in our order, and I got the wrong plate, but no complaints. Their steak kabob was so tender and flavorful. Absolutely love their rice as well. They are very generous with their sides. We had leftovers for the next day. The whole process of ordering and picking up was very smooth. Best of all, our food was still warm and tasty!

Coming to a hookah lounge for food?? Its in a plaza with sake2me so plenty of parking. The seats can be a bit tight but u can fit bigger groups, very chill ambiance. Its very casual, service kind have to flag/find them, but they do add a lot of charcoal and mouth pieces are available, but they don't really give a tutorial. Its okay price when splitting with a group if you aren't a fiend. Anyways the main point food! Very homecooked style like stuff i would make in my kitchen at home. Probably isn't meant to be a restaraunt.. given lounge. But had good cheese and lots of veg toppings.

When quality talks its hard to find words to explain it! If you love Persian food and you want to feel you are in Iran this is the right place to be! Their pizzas are Persian %100 style! I love their grilled chicken. It melts in your mouth! The service is always beyond your expectations! They are always very busy but they are pretty fast! Ambiance is very young and chill! You'll see lot of people smoking Huka and playing cards, backgammon and etc! There is a parking spots outside so you are not going to suffer to find a place to park your car! Their sandwich تنوری is always what we order and pizzaمخلوط

I have to tell you, when you walk up to this place and see the plastic covering for their outdoor space, it is not encouraging. The plastic has seen better days and it makes you wonder what will be inside. Well, inside was definitely nicer and the owner/server/host who took care of us was definitely friendly and inviting. We happened to be the first party to arrive that day. It was threating to rain but the covered outdoor space looked inviting. We picked a table and he cleaned it again before we sat (it already looked clean to me but this was nice). He also quickly grabbed one of their space heaters and brought it over. They work fast and it got too warm quickly. He returned and adjusted it perfectly. After the second half of our party arrived, we decided to move inside. Small indoor space, about four table and a long bench seat along the wall. But, since we were early, it was easy to pick one that worked for us. No paper menus, QR code only. LARGE portions, all cooked perfectly. We had a nice mix so each of us could try something different. The Ground Beef Kabobs - juicy and flavorful. The barg - excellent. Gyro plate meat was good but definitely needed the tzatziki sauce. LARGE portions of the rice and salad with each. Rice was fresh and flavorful, the salad was excellent (many of the other Mediterranean dressings are too tart, this one was great). The tomatoes disappeared quickly. We all had enough leftovers for another meal...or possibly two! We had a great time and, even though we knew it was a hookah lounge, didn't smell a thing other than our food. We were surprised when we were leaving that there were three guys in the up front / covered outdoor area, enjoying their hookahs and we never smelled a thing (this is a big deal for my wife as she can tell when they neighbors are cooking when they lite the stove!). In short, well, in long, it was much better than the initial walk up view would indicate, we definitely will return when in the area and if you are in the mood for some great Mediterranean food, give them a try. Enjoy!!!

I recently moved to the area and I LOVE hookah so I had to find a local spot. I've visited Barcode The Lounge three times now and it's always a positive experience. Note: Most spots around here do not serve hard liquor AND hookah. Keep in mind they will only have wine and beer here. Food: 10/10 tbh - well seasoned, unique menu, balanced flavors and good portions for the price point. The lunch specials start at $10. Hookah: 10/10 - good price point and large flavor selection. They also use cubed charcoal for a better smoking experience. Some people say the price is high but I lived in Atlanta so it's comparable in my opinion. Service: 10/10 - they're attentive, knowledgeable and kind. As a single woman, I visit on lunch sometimes and am able to go to the restroom while the staff ensures my belongings are safe. Ambiance: 10/10 good patio and indoor seating. Beautiful tunes. It's just a great place to be!

I found Barcode on Yelp while searching for Persian restaurants during a work trip. The restaurant is located in a small shopping complex with plenty of parking spaces. It's casual, nice, big seating area, tvs, music, heaters, and accessible entrance. Coming in you get the feeling they have put in the effort to make it a nice and welcoming place for a meal. I ordered their house Cabernet and Beef Shish Kabob plate. The food was plenty for one person but not enough to share. Food was hot, presented nicely, and came out in a short while; it is important to note that they make the food fresh upon order, so it can be a minute before the food comes out. I enjoyed the rice and the Kabobs for my dinner and it was everything I had hoped for. The salad on the side was a nice surprise! The wine, however, missed the mark. It was easy to sip but for the price wasn't worth it (too basic). The server who helped me seemed new but he was nice and put in the effort to take care of me. I recommend Barcode The Lounge, especially if you come with friends! I will come again soon!

Tustin's Barcode Lounge! Made fresh to order Mediterranean food with an upbeat indoor outdoor ambiance. Recommend trying the combo plate with both chicken kabob and beef koobideh. Been a customer for this location for several years, it has always been consistent. The barcode pizza is also a hit. The outdoor patio also has several tv's that are used for providing visual entertainment. This location is also known for being a great hookah lounge. All in all, a great option for tasty food accompanied with a relaxing but also upbeat lounge hangout ~

Conveniently off the 55 and 17th Street, this lounge is excellent. Visited once a couple weeks back and since I'm in town, visited again. Code 84 is my favorite shisha here. The Barcode Pizza is excellent. Quick and efficient service. Lounge has heaters and lighting is perfect. Nice stop to wait for traffic to lighten up. read more

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Food and hookah on point. Visiting from out of town and craving some Persian food. This place did not disappoint. I ordered a koobideh combo with rice and salad. They gave me plenty of sumac on the side. Flavor profile on the meat was immaculate. So tender and rich. Rice was a soft texture and paired well with the dish. Even the salad and dressing was top tier!! Entirely hit the spot for my craving. Baklava was so succulent! No complaints at all. Hookah was good too. I ordered citrus mint and it didn't disappoint. Lastly, the service. There were two people taking care of me. My coals never expired and I was checked on frequently. Vibe was awesome too! I loved the decor. Energy was great, even on a Sunday. I'm from out of town so I don't know when I'll make it back. But when I do, I'll be back at Barcode. Don't walk... This place was my go to when i wanted to have Persian pizza , last time we ordered the beef and mushroom pizza it wasn't the same ! Tasted way different and we didn't like it at all ! The cheese was very bad , i think they have changed the brand , the beef itself tasted funky too. Hopefully they go back to the same ingredients because that wasn't the same. read more

This was the worst hookah lounge experience ever. So my group and I got there at 8PM and sat us down. They took forever seat us and after about 20 minutes, they finally took our order. We finally got our hookah (we just ordered 1 hookah so not sure why it took so long) at around 8:50PM. However when we got our hookah, they gave us 1 mouth piece for 4 people. Right away I asked for 3 more mouth pieces. The guy said yes and went back and never came back. We then went inside around 9PM to ask for extra mouth pieces and then got them immediately. After smoking for about 45minutes, the coals were very used and was in time for a replacement. Usually at hookah bars, workers come out and replace the coals but I did not see that happening so we had to go inside to ask to get our coals replaced. Also, usually when we go to hookah spots, the employees would purge the hookah's for us but here, they did not do that even once. I guess this is fine because we can do it ourselves but the other issues just was really terrible customer service. Also we asked for a heater turned on when we were seated since they sat us down on the outskirts of the building and they had around 7 heaters and the woman working there tried to turn on 3 of them and told us that she thinks the heaters are out of propane so they are unable to use. I asked if all of them were broken and she said "I tried 3 so they should all be broken." We said it was fine but not sure why they had all 7 heaters that were out of gas. Also! We asked for the grape mint flavor and the flavor did not taste like grape or mint whatsoever. I would compare the flavor to burnt rice. Eventually I asked one of the workers what flavor this was to make sure that we got the right flavor. The worker told us he will check and let us know but he never came back. Summary: - Worst service - Broken heaters - Gave 1 Mouth Piece for 4 people - No coal replacement until asked for 45 minutes later - Never once checked up on us - Awful flavor - Also you have to pay for water which I thought was weird since this was also a restaurant and I never paid for water at a restaurant. They also did the let us know that they charged for water until I asked the woman. Can't believe that it took an entire hour since we arrived to finally get our 1 hookah. I hope they were making the hookah tobacco from scratch. read more

This place is a gem ! The location is very convenient right off the 55 freeway. The ambiance is chill and you can tell is a fun vibe in the night since they have hookah. I mostly loved their food ! I ordered the combo plate since I couldn't decide on what mean I wanted. I had both ! The chicken was so juicy and meat was cooked to perfection. Loved the salad dressing. The prices are very resonable and the portions are huge! Love this place ! read more

Neither me my friends are hookah smokers, but we decided to try Barcode the Lounge for a late dinner. The Jambon Hot Dog sandwich was outstanding--a perfect 10/10--with a unique touch of mushrooms. We also savored the lamb tongue sandwich, another hit with its inclusion of mushrooms. The fries were excellent, and the salad was decent. The food overall was both inventive and satisfying. Most of the staff were fantastic, though one server seemed a bit forgetful--no big issue, though. I'd give it a solid 8.7/10 and definitely recommend it. read more

I have been in many different persian restaurants and tried their food but each time I had my food at this location I've been surprised by their authentic taste of food. So far this dish is the first real taste of koobideh I had in usa and that is comparable with what we have back in Iran. I used too order their Cornish chicken as well as soltani kabob but from now on I'm adding their koobide to my favorite list. read more

Wife and I tried this spot one day after a day of shopping. We ordered the steak and mushroom pizza, chicken sandwich, and tiramisu. I wish I could give negative stars because the pizza was still raw in the center. The CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS RAW!!! Idk who was cooking our food but they need to go back to learning their food temps and safety training. You never serve undercooked chicken ever. The chicken barely had color on it and when trying to pull the meat apart to check every piece, each was still heavily pink in the center and the meat felt squishy. Not firm from what you'll see in fully cooked chicken. Last time I'll ever eat here after getting food poisoned. read more

Just a typical hookah lounge that needs to renovate the tables and chairs. When you walk inside it's quiet, the tables are scattered all over and I just didn't get that vibe that I wanted. The hookah wasn't great! I had a difficult time getting smoke out to the point I had to keep on adjusting the charcoals. The mushroom pizza we ordered as an appetizer was good so I'm pretty sure everything else they have on their menu is good as well. The music and Channel that was on in the patio area was not the greatest. It just didn't match the environment and give the right vibes for a place known as a lounge to eat and smoke hookah. The food was good, service was good, but the vibes and hookah were not the greatest! It's just an average place! Nothing to make me want to come back or recommend anyone to check out. read more

Ordered take out yesterday. The person who picked up my the call for my order seemed confused that I would be ordering food. It made sense when I arrived. This place is outdoor/patio hooka bar first and restaurant 2nd/3rd. We had the kabob combo, hummus and fries. The fries were a bit soggy. The hummus was over salted/lemon. And the kabob was overall salted. This wasn't the worst middle eastern food I've ever had but it wasn't the best either. It was average to a little below average. read more

It's always nice to find an awesome late night food delivery place. We took a chance based solely off the pictures and ordered the following: 1) veggie pizza 2) steak and mushroom pizza 3) chicken kabob wrap with fries 4) barcode fries 5) bandari sandwich with fries 6) hot dog with side salad Everything was delicious! My favorite were the fries...fat fries are the best. The chicken in the wrap was moist and had so much flavor. We only opted for one side salad because we figured it was some generic salad. We regretted that decision, the dressing that it came with was a lemon, oil, mayonnaise mixture and was so unique and flavorful. So happy for a great find! read more

Found this place through the best coincidence! My boyfriend and I were on our way to San Diego. We wanted to stop somewhere on the way in OC to watch UFC Fight Night. After calling a few sports bar that said they wouldn't be showing the fight, we decided to watch the stream on our phone while smoking hookah. The employees were kind enough to stream the fight from the TVs so we could watch it on a big screen. I love and appreciate customer service like that. Also bomb hookah! And deliciously brewed Ceylon tea - not that nasty teabag stuff. Will definitely come again next time we're in the neighborhood read more

I ordered from this place on Uber Eats 3 times. First time was delicious, I had the Gyro. The following time I ordered the Gyro and Philly Cheese steak sandwich, it was good but not as good as the first time. The third time I also had the Gyro and Philly Cheese steak and was surprise that the quality/ taste has changed and it did not taste very good. I have been at this place few times to have fun with some friends. The place is amazing. Lots of parkings, fast and great service. Pretty reasonable price. The food quality was very low, and I wanted the kebab to be juicy(medium rare) but it was well-done! and the worst thing was the disorganization. The food was supposed to arrive at 12:20-12:40, when the doordash courier texted me that no one is here! I asked him to knock the door and Then we realized that Only one person was preparing the orders and that's why the food arrived at 1:30 with very bad quality! read more

We came recently to watch a World Cup game on the multiple TV's near the bar area. They do have one large TV mounted on the side which is a combination of like 9 TVs but the picture quality was OK since the screens were abit dated with washed out colors with some dead pixels. We did get a full spread of food and drinks including beers and cocktails. They do have a wide variety of beers on tap BUT a majority are sold out so do ask or have a backup choice! The cocktails were tasty and standard for a sports bar. Our favor was the strawberry margarita but you can't really go wrong with any of the margaritas since they were standard recipes and flavors. They are slightly on the stronger side too! The food we got was a very pretty good for a sport bar: Hawawshi - Stuffed Pita Bread: grilled Pita bread stuffed with seasoned ground beef with onion and jalapenos served with tahini sauce. This is very tasty with the well seasoned ground beef paired with the tahini sauce and great for sharing. Shawarma Chicken Sandwich - This one was unexpected since it was wrapped in a tortilla wrap instead of the usual Pita bread so was more like a chicken burrito? The flavor was good with very tender sliced chicken paired with the garlic sauce, tomato, onions and tzatiki sauce too. Shawarma Fries: fries topped with beef or chicken shawarma , tomato , onion, parsley, feta cheese , cheddar cheese and tahini sauce. We got the beef and this was definitely the favorite of the table. This takes all the flavors of shawarma and puts it on some thick crispy fries and goes perfect with beers/cocktails. The one big issue at this place is the service is very slow since they are very short staffed! So everything from ordering, to drink to food delivery is extremely slow especially on a packed day like a World Cup game day. We waited a good 20-30 minutes before our first round of beers came and about 30 minutes for the food. It was obvious on the timing since it was way pass the first hydration break almost till halftime before we even started drinking! Overall, an OK place to hangout with friends to watch a sporting event but just don't expect fast service. They need to either hire more servers or they will lose repeat customers for future events.

The mint lemonade was not very sweet, which is a matter of personal preference. I also found the color unusually vibrant, and after sitting for a while, the drink began to separate, which I found somewhat unexpected. The pizza was disappointing. It reminded me of a typical store-bought pizza, and I have had frozen pizzas that offered better flavor and quality. The beef koobideh and beef kebab were decent and enjoyable, but they did not particularly stand out compared to similar dishes available at other local restaurants. The flavor was good with very tender sliced chicken paired with the garlic sauce, tomato, onions and tzatiki sauce too. Shawarma Fries: fries topped with beef or chicken shawarma , tomato , onion, parsley, feta cheese , cheddar cheese and tahini sauce. We got the beef and this was definitely the favorite of the table. This takes all the flavors of shawarma and puts it on some thick crispy fries and goes perfect with beers/cocktails. The one big issue at this place is the service is very slow since they are very short staffed! So everything from ordering, to drink to food delivery is extremely slow especially on a packed day like a World Cup game day. We waited a good 20-30 minutes before our first round of beers came and about 30 minutes for the food. It was obvious on the timing since it was way pass the first hydration break almost till halftime before we even started drinking! Overall, an OK place to hangout with friends to watch a sporting event but just don't expect fast service. They need to either hire more servers or they will lose repeat customers for future events.
