First time visitor and man oh man will we come back. First of all the outdoor patio is beautiful. Not too trafficky , they also have a side patio. Interior is beautifully done. Nice bar. We sat outside since weather was perfect. Started off with some drinks, hurricane and house margarita. Really good. Appetizers we had the pear burrata salad and the cracklins'. Delicious! So so good. Dinner was the pan seared salmon and southern fried chicken. Cornbread was delicious. Flavors on apps and dinner, hit right in the spot! We finished the night with the apple fritter, which was good but kinda wished the cake/fritter was warm. Service was great too. Our waiter was pleasant and courteous. This place is amazing. Cocktails are crazy good. Coconut margarita is so good, no sugar bomb here! It's really balanced and delicious. The Claude's Smoke shop is legit cocktail perfection. Complex in that low key way, but so special. Both were so enjoyable to sip on their beautiful side patio tucked away from the traffic. Would be great to hang here on a fall night when they e hit the fireplace going. Food is really good. Got the Okra fries for app, now obsessed. Lol lacy, crunchy, subtle smoke, sooo good w that creamy buttermilk ranch type dip. Entrees were the Blue Crab Avocado Toast & their Grilled Cheese w brisket (forget the menu name). Overall, this is a very good restaurant. The fried okra and crab dip were absolutely outstanding--so good we ordered double portions! First time dropping by the Eastdale village, and decided to stop in for dinner. The restaurant is super cute, and it was pretty busy for happy hour. Even so, the staff was very attentive and quick. I had an engine warm up to drink - absolutely delicious - and an oyster po'boy. The sandwich was great, but the bread was so crusty and perfect, OMG. I forgot to grab a picture of my gumbo, but that was tasty, too. The drink menu here is great, excellent cocktails and beer choices. I would love to come back and try more things on the menu. I had to add a pump of syrup in my fat&funny. Great flavor - okra fries was surprisingly really good (never had it before), gumbo had a great homie flavor even thought it could use a little more rice. The fried chicken had an amazing flavor with well seasoned batter/skin. The balance between texture and flavor felt elevated. The shrimp po boy was quite good - a solid 8.5. The Good - Beautiful building and really nice seating area in what appears to be a brand new part of town. You certainly dont feel like you are in poughkeepsie. Staff and drinks were great. We stopped here for dinner with our son and daughter in law after some serious plant shopping at Adams Fairacre in Arlington. The staff is warm and inviting and I loved the vibe when you walk in, reminded me of a few bars in New Orleans I remember. We opted to try the Boudin Balls and Cracklin for apps. They were both pretty good, I liked the pork belly a little more as it was pretty spicy but came with a maple syrup to dip into, so that sweet and heat with crispy pork hit the spot! I ordered the shrimp and grits and my wife went for the jambalaya. The Shrimp are huge and delicious, the grits are very good, but there's not a lot of them. I really liked the tomato based sauce that the dish was covered in. My wifes jambalaya order was huge and really good. There was enough of that for both of us to have lunch the next day. My son ordered the pork belly and he gave me a bite to try, it was cooked to perfection. The only drawback is that they don't give you a lot of it and he was done pretty quickly. Our daughter in law ordered the fried chicken and that order was huge. So the portion size of each dish seems to be a little inconsistent. We would absolutely go back and try something else. Everything on the menu looked great. I had a Sazerac cocktail that was wonderful, my wife had a margarita that she really enjoyed too. They have some very nice bourbons at the bar as well. read more

Came here to dine with a couple of friends while visiting. We thought we made a reservation but they couldn't find our reservation, but luckily there was a table available. They had a live band playing tucked away in the corner and they were really good and talented. We shared two small plates: debris poutine and boudin balls. Enjoyed the debris poutine (crispy and not soggy) more than the boudin balls (has a slight kick to it) but both were delicious. I got an espresso martini which I wasn't a huge fan of (might've been the overkill with the Bailey's whipped cream). For entree, I got the shrimp po boy and gumbo. The sauce for the po boy was tasty but could've came with bigger sized shrimps. The gumbo could've used more seasoning so had to add some crystal hot sauce. Out of all the entrees, the linguine and blue crab and jambalaya were a hit. The beignets were okay, a bit doughy inside but came out hot. Wished the cocktails came out before the small plates but it was a busy night. The staff were very friendly and patient. Would come back to try more cocktails and food. read more

My friend and I stopped in this past rainy Saturday on a whim. The lunch/brunch & cocktail menus are great! The Server/Bartender was so helpful with cocktail suggestions. My friend got the Claude's Smoke Shop and whoa...that is a GOOD drink! The bartender advised she smoked the glass with pecan chips, whaaatt?? whoa, it was such a good drink. Just that would make this a must go. I got the Coconut Margarita and it seriously was one of the best margaritas i've had! For food we ordered the chicken & waffles (jalepeno corn bread waffle, like !!!) and the Blue Crab Avocado toast. Both were really great. Okay, second time to this restaurant and I was hoping for a better experience. Walked in and sat at the bar, waited five minutes for the bartender to approach me. Finally, I got a menu and that added fifteen minutes before he asked me what I wanted to drink. I told him what I wanted and he proceeded to make drinks for the 12 people in the restaurant! Made reservations on 3/1/25 for my family of 4. My son was in from Massachusetts and wanted to take him to dinner. We showed up for our 7 PM reservations and stood for 15 minutes with no answers. Then we were offered free drinks but with no where to stand or sit. After another 10 minutes of standing, we still did not have a table and decided to leave. Just a few months ago, we ate at Barbue multiple times with two people in the restaurant and two things on the menu. Being 5 minutes down the road, we were going to make this a common stop considering all of the food is so delicious.
