During my search for a new salon that uses higher-quality products for a more natural volume look, one of my coworkers recommended Manhasset Lash Bar. Although their price list is a bit more expensive than I'm used to, I booked an appointment anyway because new customers get 30% off. Street parking is hilariously easy compared to the Bayside/Flushing salons I'm used to frequenting. My technician determined that an oval lash map would suit my eye shape best. I decided on a C14 mink set, and was guided into a private area closed off from other customers by actual walls rather than thin curtains. The bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep within a few minutes of starting! Halfway through both eyes, she removed the tapes and gave me a mirror to confirm that I liked how it looked so far. The rest of the appointment went by quickly, it only took about an hour total to apply 110 pieces per eye. As a testament to their work's longevity, ZERO pieces fell out during the first week and they still looked good (slightly thinner, minimal gapping) 3 weeks later when I came back for my fill. Definitely choose mink over silk, it's longer lasting due to how lightweight and soft they are!

The location is very clean and large. My lash technician was very nice and did my lashes in like an hour. I had the mink lash package and paid an extra $20 for more lashes. I left happy with the result and tipped her well. 3 days laters, my eyelash extension started falling off on my right eye, literally patches. Then I started noticing patches on my left eye. I do my lashes pretty often so I know how to care for them and they usually last 3-4 weeks. I message Grace and told her what was happening and she told me to come in to get them fixed. Since I do not live near my boyfriend's job which means I'm not near the lash spot, I drove an hour and 15 minutes to get there during rush hour. Grace fixed my lashes; although not giving an explanation why they were falling out after a few days. I thought the issue was fixed until today; it has been less than a week and I have patches on both eyes. At this point I'm extremely upset and will not be returning. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because Grace was very nice but her technique does not last.

Just note that 'cash is king' or queen in this case as if you need to pay with credit the fee gets passed onto you. The first time I paid cash, second with my card and was charged the $5 fee. No problem this time, but definitely noted as with the cash I had on me I wanted to assure gratuity was definitely pass to the technician that way. All in all a great experience for something that really lasted longer than any other application that I have tried in the past. I went for the touch up about 3wks later and probably could have easily gone a month. I highly recommend this location if you want compliments in person or virtually beyond a screen, left and right and want to look LASHtastic!
