I had the pleasure of having Kenny cut my hair on a Tuesday afternoon before I headed to a few days of conferences for work nearby in Newport. I'm very happy I chose Kenny (mostly based on reviews) because of the convenience of location for me and how easy it was to get in and out with a last minute call ahead appointment. He did a phenomenal job with my hair, and made sure to get it exactly how I wanted. He was also very interesting to chat with about a whole wide range of things and was also pretty funny! Kenny is great - meticulous and quick for a reasonable price! Good music too (if you are a old time jazz fan especially).

There was very little attention to detail. Very rushed and random with his approach. My sideburns were left noticeably uneven, and despite asking for a quarter inch off the top and half an inch off the sides, he told me he doesn't cut hair that way and didn't understand what I was asking for. He didn't take the time to properly assess or measure before shaving off my sideburns, which felt rushed and careless. Overall, the approach was sloppy, and I wouldn't recommend him. read more

Little place with 2 chairs and old school service. I have some skin issues on one side of my face makes shaving / etc extremely difficult. I've been very hesitant to let anyone "trim" my facial hair for what's underneath. Kenny was patient, used several different methods and blades etc to achieve a very sculpted look with what I have right now, and a plan to get it where I want it. Kenny did a very nice 1.5 high fade to go with it. I won't say what he charged me.. but I WILL say, it was a very reasonable, less than most chains .
