Hair cuts, shape ups, beard trims, you name it... What REALLY impressed me was how they took care of my 2 year old son. Kids don't exactly like getting their hair cut so we knew this was going to be a challenge, but Rudy and the guys couldn't have been more gentle or respectful. He gave my son the best haircut he's had yet and we'll definitely be bringing him back here. We went from tears in the beginning, to smiles and high fives at the end.

There were some communication issues due to a slight language barrier and that did cause my beard trim and haircut being not quite what I was asking for but still a quality cut in the end. I wanted a slight taper but was way more a skin fade which doesn't work for me. I didn't mind so much of not being able to have the light banter I am used to with my barbers in the past but did wish it could have been better understood exactly how I wanted things. Still the barber was a perfectionist and everything came out even and sharp. I am sure it will look even better after a week of growth. Today was my first time but I will give them a try again, but my advise even from watching the guy in the chair next to me, is to be prepared to put a little extra effort in communicating what you want.

I went on a Friday early afternoon and it wasn't crowded. The shop itself has character. I'm a sucker for the little details, and that old turn-of-the-century rustic ceiling is a gem -- you don't see craftsmanship like that anymore. Clean, well laid out, family-run feel. The cut was $20 -- an honest price -- Vlad lives in Queens, I work in Queens, so we had plenty to talk about. Good conversation makes a good haircut even better. Two practical tips: the parking lot is tight with limited spots, so don't show up expecting valet. And when you leave, turn RIGHT -- making a left out of the lot is a gamble since the sight lines to the left are rough. Solid cut, solid guy, solid price. I was "vlad"(glad) he cut my hair.
