After a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews I sought out Barbara's needle. I am so glad I did. I recently needed a dress altered and let out for an Army ball. There wasn't a whole lot of fabric in the dress to work with. I knew I needed someone with a lot of skill and creativity to help me. When I spoke with Barbara on the phone she was very friendly and enthusiastic to help. We made an appointment for me to come in so that she could look at my dress and make recommendations. She suggested that we let out the dress with a panel of lace. I absolutely loved the idea. She completely redesigned the top of the dress and elevated the look. The lace looks like it belongs there. You would not have known that it is just a space filler. And I think it adds a little bit more sexiness. Barbara was very warm and inviting. She was very easy to work with. She is skilled Tailor and seamstress and I would trust her with any of my garments. She's very creative and a problem solver! Great work. Very fast. Reasonably priced. Very sweet woman. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because she hemmed the bottom of my dress a little too short. I think the problem was that I wasn't standing up totally straight when she was pinning it.
