What can I say about Bar1010 Nothing short of excellence. The service is impeccable. The ambience is as cute as Katseye's new music video. And the food is phenomenal. From the tikka masala pizza to the loaded lox to the plain and perfect everything is note worthy. I'm so happy to be apart of this neighborhood and so happy to have this as my neighborhood pizza. Big huge shout out to Laura and Neil for always being personable and knowledgeable.

I stopped at Bar1010 after seeing it on a tv segment because the pizzas looked so interesting. So glad I went because the pizza I ordered, the Tricky Tikka, was excellent! Talk about flavorful! The cilantro lime chutney flavor is very prominent but pleasantly mildish and that with the heat from the jalapeños create the perfect balance. What's so important and not always found, is a crispy crust. The pizza had the perfect crispy crust...and not burnt. The service is a bit slow so prepared to wait a bit which I am prepared to do because there's so many other pizzas I want to try.

Stopped in to try their new strawberry matcha martini. It was amazing to say the least. The real star of the show was the pizza. Absolutely amazing. The place was packed on a Friday night so the staff was busy but still very nice and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

We got takeout because the space seems a little more upscale than what we're usually looking for for lunch. The pizza was good! But definitely doesn't seem to match the atmosphere. Boyfriend put the plain pizza in his top 5! I thought it was really good but I've had better for the price

Came here for dinner and the service and food were both great. However, the store itself seemed a bit unorganized. Our menus were extremely dirty (picture provided) and we were sitting directly next to their stash of high chairs and extra chairs. It was a bit cluttered. We ordered the espresso martini and it was sweet and delicious. We shared the bacon salad (swapped the cheese) and the spicy roni pizza. The pizza was bigger than a personal but smaller than your average pie. It was delicious and I have zero complaints! I will definitely be back to try more flavors. The salad was refreshing but a bit pricey for what it was. Flavor was there! A restaurant located in a great corner spot so it's fun for people watching and to eat some tasty pizzas.

I have been to Bar1010 a few times now. They have happy hours 3-6 pm. The drinks specials on the HH menu are good. We missed HH today and ordered food from regular menu. Food came promptly. Drinks were flavourful and strong. Loved it. Korean chicken pizza was good and very different in taste. Cheesy bread and the dip was also very good. The ambiance is casual and nice music playing in the background. 3 TVs showing different sports. I recommend this place.

We've been trying to get a table at this place for a while. We finally went early and were sat immediately and wasn't too crowded yet. The pizza did not disappoint. The hot honey ranch pizza was phenomenal and the buffalo chicken was good too. Not too much chicken on the buffalo chicken though. If you like espresso martinis they have like 10 different kinds to choose from. Would absolutely come back.

Pizza was so friggin good mane. 5 slices got me folded. The tricky tika and hot honey ranch blew my mind. I'm going to eat here every day for the rest of my life.

Drinks were very good and so was the spicy sausage app Pizza was slightly above average Service was slow and we weren't here at a very busy time

Great espresso martinis though many fall in the realm of sweet. Tikka pizza is delicious. Staff always super nice. Really like it here.

I've wanted to try this place since it opened and I'm glad we were able to do it on a nice weather Friday. It has opened where Spuntinos was located so has some big shoes to fill but I have to say, Bar 1010 pizzas are great and this place is a great addition to the neighborhood. We ordered a spicy roni, Philadelphia pizza, the strawberry tequila cocktail and husband got a mezcal cocktail. Cocktails were very good and food was delicious. We were seated outside and service was just ok. It took some time for our cocktails to come after we placed our orders. I'm not sure if our server was not checking on us very often because we were seated outside and they just prioritize customers who are inside or something else. I'd give this place a 5/5 on food and drinks and a 3.5/5 on service. No dog bowls, no provision for a plastic takeout bowl too was a turn off. I will give them another chance though once they've had a chance to settle in.

Can confirm the espresso martini with parm is delicious!! I also enjoyed the 5star martini. Caesar salad had a copious aka perfect amount of parm on top as well. The figgin bacon and spicy pepperoni pizzas were both very tasty. The crust was doughy and soft but still thin and easy to eat.

You'd be unlikely to find this unless you knew to look for it. The main feature of this bar is the cocktail menu; it's creative and ambitious and yet very approachable, with helpful adjectives for each cocktail. The Mango Sticky Rice made my jaw drop; not only did the juicy mango come through, but also somehow a sense of starchiness, while being entirely balanced with the liquor. Definitely some of the best cocktails in Philly. And the music and vibe is so cozy but lively; the live records spinning create a warm atmosphere that is not sleepy nor dancey, instead you'll find yourself tapping your feet and swaying in your seat while in deep conversation or just enjoyable contemplation. Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. I ordered guacamole and chips for appetizers and it came out right away. The chips are fresh and not stale. Good amount of guacamole. Street corn aka elote. The corn is juicy. Unfortunately, it was not enrobed with mayo and cotija cheese as a typical elote should be. Fried plantain: not many slices. They are dry and not sweet . I was hoping for more ripe plantain Birria tacos: small tacos, the consommé lacks of depth of flavor. I could only taste saltines. The waiter asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said only beans. It's basically mashed refried beans. I wasn't aware that it costs extra $4. My husband ordered this dish served in half pineapple. It has chorizo and shrimp. While I enjoyed the music choices, he did not and it was also INCREDIBLY dark/moody which isn't our preference, but makes sense for the intimate vibe they are clearly going for.

Next of Kin has a quirky, playful, impressively creative menu with drinks that are memorable. We came here at around 10:30pm on a Saturday night after dinner. There was a bit of a line outside which moved slowly, but we were given cute champagne jello shot things for our patience which were delightful and a fun little preview of what to expect on the inside. The seating options consist of tables, bar, and what I believe they call "love pods", all of which are beautifully designed. We were seated at the bar, which is our preference anyway. I always like chatting with the bartenders and hearing about the craft, and it is particularly enjoyable when they're as friendly and generous as the folks who work here. With the help of Yelp, we found this place. First off, the building that houses National Mechanics is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and for good reason. The pub/restaurant occupies the old Mechanics National Bank, a majestic Greek Revival building, built in 1836. Inside the restaurant, the surroundings contrasted greatly with the outside. The large, primarily wooden interior has the feel of a vintage pub. It is equally as beautiful as the front. The service at National Mechanics was great. Though the staff was clearly running shorthanded, every employee we came into contact with served us with a smile and couldn't be friendlier. The food, at least on that day, was mediocre at best, unfortunately. While the menu was filled with all sorts of tempting dishes that already made us thinking of future visits, we opted for the Mexican Burger and the Ribeye Cheesesteak, two twists on old pub standbys. Sadly, we were both disappointed in our meals. We did start off on a bright spot, food-wise. My friend and I opted to share the Batter-Fried Pickled Green Beans, which were fabulous! Too bad the good food ended there... The description of the Mexican Burger sounded amazing, with avocado, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, Monterrey Jack cheese, and chipotle mayo. My friend said it was kind of bland and it was quite greasy. My ribeye cheesesteak did not match well with its "Amoroso" roll and the steak itself was dry. In the end, we were both disappointed in our choice in a lunch spot. Perhaps it was the large crowd of diners and little staff that made it all come out a little...off. In the end, I'd try National Mechanics again if I were in the area, as the atmosphere and service made it a cool spot to dine in. Hopefully the food will be better next time.
