If I could give The Heron more than 5 stars I absolutely would. It's hands down my favorite…read morerestaurant and the only place within an hour that is always consistent every single time. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell that every detail is thoughtfully cared for. What really sets The Heron apart from any other, are the owners. Marla and Paul are some of the kindest, most humble, and hard working people I've ever met. They genuinely care and it shows in everything they do. Marla is a BOSS who wears many hats and Paul works magic in that kitchen. I've never had a bad meal here. The steak is my go-to, and any of their fish dishes are phenomenal. If you haven't been for brunch, you're missing out--fresh squeezed juice for your mimosa, perfectly cooked eggs with some corned beef hash, and the pancakes are the best I've ever had. No visit is complete without the chocolate pot de crème for dessert. It's absolutely unforgettable. The Heron is a special place.

I had the best time at this brew farm camping and just being at the restaurant!…read more - THE FOOD & DRINKS - We had three pizzas during our stay: the Margherita, Mexican corn and the farm pizza (peppers and sausage) I really loved the Margherita pizza because the tomato sauce was fresh and the cheese was so flavorful. The mexican corn is popular with the locals so I got it to try! And it didn't disappoint! The corn was sweet corn and paired with the white sauce was very tasty. This one is a lot more filling than the rest so I would definitely share it with more than 1-2 people! It's good to pair this with other pizzas. We paired this one with the farm pizza and that one had peppers like peperoncini with tasty sausage and that cut the creaminess of the corn pizza which was perfect and it had a tart sour taste that left me wanting more! It takes them about 20 minutes to make each pizza but it's so cool you can see them popping pizzas in a brick oven in the middle of nature. We had a beer flight and got to taste all of the beers and the one cider they had and I loved all of them! My favorite was definitely their TIPA because it was strong but the taste was fresh. - THE RESTAURANT/AMBIANCE - The area they were situated in was rolling hills of grass and felt very serene and calmed me down immediately. Lots of great people and you can bring your own dogs and I even saw someone bringing their own goats! Remember to bring a stake with a line for them to run around since they need to be leashed. Super dog friendly and welcoming. - CAMP EXPERIENCE - Ron was amazing and the courtesy of bringing our camping gear with a tractor to our campsite was a smooth process and he was such a cool guy to talk to! The campsite was really nice and tucked away from others and we had a picnic table and a fire pit. It started to rain and we saw lightning and thunder in the sky so we went to go to our car. They had the restaurant opened for safety so tons of campers went to the restaurant for cover and I think this place really is great for a camping site that has iffy weather conditions when you don't know if it will rain or shine because you'll always have a place to go (with beer!) There were tons of stars in the sky after the rain died down and we enjoyed our night at the campsite. The morning after we took a shower at the outdoor shower and that felt amazing. Even though it was right next to the donkeys it didn't smell like a farm. I think they clean it pretty well and it felt almost luxurious to be bathing outside with hot water. It had a soap bar but I would still bring your own, they don't come with a body wash or anything. They do have a mirror but it was quite foggy. It's about a 10 minute walk to the showers but a really nice one! I would definitely come back with more people since it's group and dog friendly! I had a blast!

We were surprised we could not drive our cars in but the camp host, Ron kindly hauled our camping gear and food. He delivered us firewood and refilled our water jugs. He was personable, funny and willing to help with anything we needed. He provided his cell number so if we needed anything, he would he would be available. It was super secluded spot that was quiet and private. We had delicious burgers and pretzels at the brewery. The majority of our camping clan had stayed here a year ago and loved it! We will definitely be back! Thank Ron for being a fantastic camp host!

We were super happy that they are indoor dog friendly (well behaved/ leashed dogs only! ) The beer was great. I loved Tommy Boy Farmhouse Ale and Amber Waves Amber Ale. We ended up buying a 4 pack of each to bring home with us. I was so pleasantly surprised by their BBQ offerings. It is very easy to mess up BBQ, but this BBQ was so wonderfully prepared. I have been to so many breweries and BBQ joints that serve dried out, over-sauced meat. The offerings from Smok'd were all excellent. During our first visit we ordered the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. The brisket was super juicy and tender. The pulled pork was also juicy and tender. They offered BBQ sauce on the side if we wanted. During our second visit, we sat in the vault. This brewery is in a location that was formerly a bank. The vault was a nice secluded spot. We ordered the ribs and brisket with street corn salad, mac and cheese, and beans. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the brisket had a beautiful smoke ring. The mac and cheese was super creamy and had a wonderful taste of childhood. It was perfect for a day that had a -23F windchill. Overall, great beer, great food, and great staff. We really enjoyed our time here. I love a great dog friendly brewery! We will definitely return when in the area!

I had a sandwich which I think was brisket, very good. Guess I should have done the first review that day but didn't. Narrowsburg can be kind of disappointing sometimes, so we don't hang in the town too much, but this place stands out. Open late but we prefer afternoons. Literally a few steps from the public parking area. We absolutely will go back. I have a couple of photos but can't find them right now.
