A little tasting! They have a fixed tasting menu of 2 whites and 2 reds when we were there. They do have a lot more wines but you can't get them by the glass, only bottle. The only glasses are from the tasting menu. Our wine pourer was awesome. Talked to us about the wines but it got crazy busy halfway through our tasting and it was all hands on deck. While in Pennsylvania we saw Three Hammers Winery and decided to go for a wine tasting. We sampled 4 wines and given an extra one on the house. All were ok, none we had did we purchased. However we did purchase some blueberry jam, Merlot soup and a Chardonnay candle. Yes they had that. Very unique. Even though we did not purchase any wine we had an excellent tasting experience. Nice chat with the gentleman who helped us. A beautiful setting in the woods, somewhat secluded. Very relaxing. If in the area and you like wine definitely recommend. read more

My wife and I just returned from a weekend trip to a camping site near Narrowsburg, New York. We often will travel to a couple of the small towns in Wayne County PA to visit restaurants and local shops when we do this annual trip. As a surprise for my birthday, my wife booked us a wine and cheese pairing at a local winery in Hawley, PA. Admittedly, I was pretty skeptical about what we were going to find there. We both love wine, but have been disappointed by the vineyards in the north east. Boy was I wrong! First, the winery sits on a beautiful rural spot with a scenic stream and vintage farmhouse. There were many tables outside, with people milling about and seemingly enjoying bottles of wine on the property. When we went inside, we waited on line to register for our booked wine and cheese pairing experience. Much to our dismay we noticed that there was also another family with three very small children that were also booked for the same experience. This was kind of odd, and we mentioned this to the representative at the counter He quickly went to the back to talk to his manager about our concerns, and returned to let us know that we were being comped a private experience on the porch of the farmhouse in order to accommodate us. This could not have made us happier. Our host, Adam, walked us over to the farmhouse, and took us on a brief tour of the newly renovated space. Clearly, a lot of thought and design muscle went into the renovations. It was a beautiful space! We were led to the outside porch, where the seating for us overlooked the nearby stream. Adam brought over our flight of wine and cheese, and iteratively lead us through each of the pairings with Insightful explanations of each, as well as the history behind the wine itself. He was a wealth of knowledge for any of our questions and brought a good amount of humor to make the experience fun. We were both blown away by the quality of the wine, and cheese they were paired with. We did not realize that the winery was not a vineyard, but instead shipped the best grapes from Washington state in order to produce the highest quality wine. My wife and I were so impressed with the winery, that we immediately became wine club members. It was an easy decision, as it was some of the best wine we have had in a very long time. The next day we decided to visit their winery shop in Pike County PA. We were lucky enough to be there when the owners of Three Hammers were there. They were an absolutely lovely couple who were very well aware of our predicament the day prior, and mentioned that they had personally approved our private experience the day before. A quality product, over-the-top customer service, and value at the same time makes this winery a no-brainer for future visits. If you are in the area, this is a must see! read more

I had a fantastic experience at Three Hammers Winery. I went with a group of 10, and although they don't usually take walk ins for large groups, they were able to accommodate us. I would recommend making a reservation! We started off with tastings for the group. You can choose if you want to do a dry or sweet tasting ( dry has 4 & sweet has 3). I opted for the dry and my favorite was the Chardonnay! After the tasting we bought a few bottles and bites to share. There's indoor and heated outdoor seating for the colder months. This was a great discovery! We're from California and Oregon, and belong to a number of wineries' clubs. We were completely surprised to find really good wines here. Not what you'd expect!! At Three Hammer they source their fruit from Washington and California,, and make their wines in those regions' style, but make it here in the Poconos. Adam poured us two reds and two whites plus 1-2 others not on the tasting menu. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Nice outdoor setup , Al though it was a little cold they had heaters on and heated igloos. Our host at the wine tasting bar was super nice and accommodating of our group of 10.(Which usually isn't allowed) but because it they had just opened we were able to Squeeze-in. A few minutes from an Airbnb we stayed at which was super clutch. Overall I'd give them 3 stars , personally for me the wine selection and taste don't match up to other wineries I have visited however I would recommend judging for yourself and give them a try if your in the area! read more

The wine is ok. Their prices are expensive. The outdoor seating is pleasant and peaceful. However, the staff there made me feel uncomfortable. I had carried in my laptop computer to have a glass of wine and do some work and they questioned me up and down about whether I was sneaking in food. IT WAS A LAPTOP BAG!!!!!! This was ridiculous. I was so uncomfortable that I left. They were watching me trying to catch me eating something. I won't return. read more

I was in PA with a group of friends for a weekend when we came across the Three Hammers Winery. It was wonderful, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There is a miniature trail that you can walk, which is situated on the other side of their pond and wooden bridge. The staff was awesome, everyone was very welcoming, kind, and joked around with my group during our tasting. The owner Rob approached us and introduced himself, as well as thanked us for coming. That was the top stand out for me, I thought that was extremely gracious and professional of him. I'm a big supporter of small businesses, especially when they have such hospitable owners like Rob. On to the wines, now I'm no wine connoisseur but I thought the whites were delicious. I prefer my wines sweet, so that's what I opted for. For me they were really good and I had a bit of a buzz after. They also have wine slushees, FANTASTIC! I highly recommend. Overall, three hammers was very nice. I wouldn't call myself a wine connoisseur by any means, but I can always appreciate great wine. Although the bottles are a little bit more on the pricier side than what I usually would prefer to pay, it's well worth it! I LOVED the ambiance of the winery! There's a little bridge over a pond that's a great photo spot. Then there's a short trail that goes around the small lake. You can take your wine along for the walk, and the added scenery os instantly relaxing. COVID UPDATE: They have cute outdoor "bubbles" with heat and lights in them that you can reserve. There's a LOT of other outdoor seating available too (socially distanced, obviously!) Since the new law is that you need to buy food with alcohol, Three Hammers has great pre-packaged food options for sale, like prosciutto, crackers, cheese, and spreads. read more

Winter Review: Recently visited Three Hammers Winery with a group of 7 people in February. We rented an outdoor, but insulated, snow-globe. It kept us warm and comfortable during our over 2 hour stay at the Winery, mind you it was probably under 30 degrees out when we visited. Most of our friends were first timers to the winery and they LOVED the ambiance, and of course the selection of amazing red and white wines (favorites being the Syrah and Home Sweet Homestead). The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the wines and friendly to interact with! Also, I must point out that the staff is constantly cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, making us feel completely safe and comfortable during our stay! Could not have asked for a better covid-friendly winter day activity! Spring / Summer Review: Warm, sunny days at the winery are a real treat! The grounds are amazing. Whether you are sitting in the shade, near the pond on an Adirondack chair, or going for a walk on the short nature trail - your visit to the winery will be equally fun and relaxing! The attention to detail clearly shows - from the beautiful wine bottles to the way the grounds are maintained. My fiancé and I loved to stop by the winery for live music on Sunday afternoons - the music was always great. Even with bigger crowds there was always a way to enjoy a great bottle of wine while remaining socially distanced! We loved the Winery so much that we joined the wine club and can now enjoy Three Hammers from NYC. Our group of ten made a reservation for an afternoon wine tasting. The grounds were beautiful and the guys were impressed with the classic truck on display. One member of our group was in a large wheelchair and the tasting room easily accommodated his needs. Kim was our tasting guide and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun to chat with. Great local winery! Stopped in while staying at a local air B and B. Dave was very knowledgable about all the wines as my husband and I did the tasting of both their dry and sweet. The sweets were FANTASTIC ( we even took two bottles home). The grounds are lovely you can go on a walk by the water or sit and enjoy a glass (or bottle) with some of their snack items (we got the cheese and it was perfect!) I went with my brothers, sister, and our spouses for a wine tasting at this gem of a winery on a random Tuesday afternoon while on a siblings week on Lake Wallenpaupack. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with Dave who was very knowledgable as he is the wine maker. He had terrific stories and the wines were superb! We tasted 5 wines and had a couple glasses on the property while enjoying the views. We left with several bottles of various Reds and Whites to enjoy back home.
