unfortunately our server messed up just about anything there was to mess up. starting with the wrong drinks, then all of the modifications we asked for were not honored, then the manager offered to comp one of our meals and it was never taken off the receipt. We came here after a Broadway show in Nashville on our way back to Chattanooga. We used to have a Bar Louie in Chattanooga until it, unfortunately, closed, so we have great memories of fantastic food and drinks. This Bar Louie didn't live up to ours. I ordered the fried calamari, and my friend ordered a soup and sandwich. The calamari was rubbery and overcooked. She enjoyed her sandwich and soup. The drinks were good, but it is a bar, so they should be. Our server was inattentive. The ambiance was nice. Pretty typical of the Bar Louie chain. I'd likely have drinks here again, but not so sure about the food. read more

Great spicy watermelon martinis but food is horrible Fried calamari was chewy and came out cold. Trio dip missing guacamole which we asked about it & apparently they didn't have any. I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Bar Louie, but unfortunately my experience wasn't great. From the start, the service felt uncomfortable. One of the hostesses or possibly a manager approached me as if they thought I was someone else who had apparently been there before, and the way they spoke to me felt unprofessional and awkward. I ordered wings, and when they came out they were half burnt, which was disappointing. For a place that has a lot of hype and reputation, the experience didn't really match the expectations. Overall, it felt like there was a lot more talk than walk. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but based on this visit I wasn't very impressed. read more

Happy Holidays! Stopped at Bar Louie's in the Middle of the day for a shopping refresher. We stopped in for a late lunch and a couple drinks to get us through this shopping day! I had the Louis Burger with fries and my wife had chicken tenders and fries. Burger was good. Aged white cheddar was very good on the burger. Fries were a bit over done but all in all a very good experience. I honestly ate the burger prior to thinking about taking a photo. Bun was fresh as well. Service was wonderful!! Had a large group for graduation on a Friday night and our server was so attentive and didn't miss a beat!

The food was outstanding! We had the bruschetta, hot honey bacon flatbread, and the buffalo chicken flatbread along with midnight berry, lemon drop and rock & Rita martinis and it was amazing! My husband and I visited this location on the evening of Nov 19th, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. The sign at the entrance clearly instructed us to seat ourselves. So we did--only to have another customer tell us the table was "reserved." In fact, apparently half the restaurant was reserved, yet not a single table had a reservation sign. Not one. A server then specifically pointed out an open table across the restaurant and told us to sit there. We sat--only to be confronted almost immediately by a different server informing us we couldn't sit there because that table was also reserved. Again, no sign, no communication, nothing. I explained that a server had literally just directed us to that table. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, this server retreated about ten feet away, huddled together with three or four other staff--including, unbelievably, the manager--and they all proceeded to whisper, stare at us, whisper again, and stare at us some more. It was rude, unprofessional, and downright humiliating. After several painfully awkward minutes, the server returned and told us she would "allow us" to stay at the table. At that point we honestly felt like we were on some kind of prank show. We asked to speak to the manager, and when we explained how unwelcome and uncomfortable the staff had made us feel, he simply shrugged and said the large party had paid "thousands of dollars" to reserve the restaurant. That was never the issue. The issue was the complete lack of direction, the lack of basic customer service, and the outright rudeness we were shown from the moment we walked in. The manager didn't apologize, didn't acknowledge the poor treatment--nothing. His indifferent attitude perfectly reflected the behavior of the staff. After this experience, we will never step foot in this restaurant again. read more

A group of 6 of us went to Bar Louie around 10:30 AM on a Friday. There were 5 other tables of people and two people at the bar. There were 3 servers, a bartender, and what looked like two managers at the bar as well. It about 30 minutes to get drinks. We were very chatty and friendly to our server. We were there about an hour and received food. We were all out of drinks at that point. We asked for another round for the table and waters. One person was brought A water. We passed that water around and poured a little into each of our empty glasses. Another person then went to the bar and asked the bartender for drinks for our entire table. The manager was also standing there and he just looked at her. We were 1/2 way through our meals with 6 of us sharing one glass of water before drinks were brought for all. The toilets in the restroom were also dirty despite just having opened. We won't be going back. read more

My friend and I went for Happy Hour tonight and the women's bathrooms were disgusting. No toilet paper and the commodes had not been cleaned in months. Dark rings around all 3 toilets. They advertise a lot of appetizers for 1/2 off and we split one and were charged full price. When I told the manager about the bathrooms and being charged full price for the happy hour appetizers she acted like she could care less. We won't be back and now I know why there were so few people there at dinner time. Never again! I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like and how dirty it must be. read more

Last couple visits have been a bit dissappinting. Bar Louise has been a favorite however management should take a bit more look at the service being given to the customers. Last 2 visits we ordered old fashions and they have been served wrong. They should be served with a block of ice and instead the server brings the drinks on ice. Twice on 2 separate visits...this happened. When asked about how it was served the server said they have been busy and are out of the block ice. No apology or acknowledgment or offer something different. We also ordered a chip trio as an appetizer...and when served it was put on the table with the server saying they were out of guacamole...so she doubled the cheese...we would have never ordered that appetizer if they were out of gaucomole and also wouldn't have ordered old fashions...? Becoming low on my list of places, if they can't serve their drinks and food appropriately...the servers try to pass off the food and drinks knowing they are not correct. read more

I usually don't patronize 'chain' restaurants. But this place was convenient on a road trip and we (party or four) stopped by for food and drink. We had a very good experience on our recent visit. Our server, Hannah, was welcoming and friendly, and genuinely seemed to appreciate our visit. She was very attentive. The drinks were cold and tasty (beer and martinis) and the food was very good. We had burgers, a reuben sandwich, a chicken sandwich, and salmon. All dishes were well prepared and tasty. Again, Hannah treated us well. If you're looking for a tasty snack, drinks, and pleasant service, I would recommend Bar Louie in Murfreesboro, TN. Thank you, Hannah (and crew)! read more

Service was just okay. Went in around 2PM on a Saturday, not busy, dirty dishes were left at different spots along the bar where no one was sitting the entire time we were there (about 45 minutes). We ordered the fish and chips to share and they were extremely bland and soggy. The menu states the fish is cod but I have eaten a lot of cod and it hasn't ever tasted like that before. The fish pieces were just mush. It does appear that they have a nice outdoor seating area and a large draft beer selection. read more

Let me start by putting this upfront. The manager did try to make things right. But by this time I'm highly upset. This is our second time coming to Bar Louie. The first time it was not pleasant. The server had an attitude. Maybe she was having a bad day. We don't know but the food was good. Today, May 24, 2025, we give it another try! We get our seat right away but had to wait for about 10 min before another server noticed us. She takes our drink order and says our server will be with us shortly. I'm a patient person but hear me out when I say I will NEVER come back to Bar Louie at the Avenue in Murfreesboro! Our server finally comes and her reasoning was "she was stocking" ok we understand. She takes our order, we ordered appetizer and because our wait was long we were ready to order. We wait for about 20 min. Another couple sits behind us and they get their appetizer (the same as what we ordered) before we do. So, we wait some more. By this time it's already 40 min and here comes our food and it's lukewarm. The first server (who took our drinks) brought the food and we begin to tell her along with the actual server about how the couple behind us got their food first before we did and we've been waiting for a long time. The server apologized but the actual server wants to blame US the customer by saying "well it was on one ticket". My husband said but we ordered appetizers and it's how you put it on the ticket. Since that didn't work she then wants to blame the cooks. If they get the food on one ticket they cook it at the same time. It's their fault. WTH? So, it's everybody's fault but hers. Oh and by the way she had NOT apologized at all. So, they take away the calamari well because it's cold. And she asks is there anything else? I said a manager. She rolls her eyes and leaves. I see where the manager is sitting and she goes into the kitchen and attends to other things before she goes and talks to the manager. From the looks of it, she was saying not so good things about us the customer and she is in the right and the gestures that she does is irritating. Nodding her head hard and fast and saying yeah, yeah. I tell my husband she's over there talking to the manager setting it up to where she's not in the fault. Sure enough manager comes over and yeah hears my husband out and from the looks of it, it doesn't match what the server told him and tries to make it right. But by this time, I want to hear I'm sorry, nothing! How can I make it right? Really? My husband is a better customer at this point he accepts the "fresh" food...me, even though what I ordered was salad, my appetite is gone! Manager says do you want dessert, no! I'm just going to write a bad yelp review! Manager then says I'm trying to fix it and I will deal with her (meaning the server). Did he have her come to our table and apologize? No! I'm pretty sure they are just going to let things go and the behavior of that server will continue. The NERVE of blaming the customer how the ticket was written! SERIOUSLY??? Then Blame the COOKS! I HOPE the cooks that were on duty around 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm on May 24, 2025, read this! The food was lukewarm warm! It's NOT the cooks job to take the food to the table. Nothing like soggy fries! Cold steak sandwich and greasy cold calamari! I'm pretty sure it was piping hot when the cooks made it but the server took her sweet time in getting the food because she's too busy doing other things than actually serving! A great food spot in the avenue! On Tuesdays, I would rate Bar Louie 5 stars, on any other day I would rate them 4 BECAUSE... TUESDAYS = HALF PRICED BURGERS! Getting a burger for just over $7 with the quality like this is incredibly hard to beat. Their Bourbon bbq was fantastic, very filling which I want in a burger! The tater tots were nice and crispy and the ranch, oh the ranch was so good. Our service was very good, engaged in conversation, always checked in on us, and even got us extra ranch on the down low for free! The ambiance here was very fitting with the avenue. It has a upscale feel but very down to earth as well. Overall a very solid choice to go for a burger! read more

First of all love Bar Louie's other locations but this one is just terrible. I've given them several chances over 3 years and yesterday was the last! Sat at the bar only 3 others sitting there. It took 5 minutes to be acknowledged, 15 for a drink with dirty glasses, empty bottles scattered around the bar. Couple sitting close went without a drink 15+ minutes. Some people sat at the bar and after no service they left! We had a blue moon draft and an aperol spritz which came to 25.28!!!! That's just two normal sized drinks. So needless to say we left did not order food and will not be back!! So sad and unfortunate! read more

I went during happy hour and the wings were tasteful. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. The spinach dip was also very great. The only issue I had was she forgot to put my spinach dip in with my order and I waited forever and had to get it to go, but mistakes happen! Classic American style bar & grill. Our server was very polite and helpful, checked in on us a couple times. We had the hot honey chicken sandwich and a chicken/avocado wrap with fries. The chicken sandwich was great and the fries were awesome! The chicken wrap was also good, according to the person that ate it. This would have been a 5-star review, but the small plates that we were given (presumably for bread?) were not 100% clean and the menus had something sticky on them.
