Couldn't recommend a place more than Bar Harbor Auto Body. They went above and beyond. I had to take my car in for body work after damage from a fallen limb. They took care of rental and gave me a ride there. They also worked with my insurance company and I really didn't need to worry about a thing. Just picked up my car today and it looks amazing! I reached out to Bar Harbor Auto after I was rear ended at a red light. This was my first accident, and it left my back bumper with a large crack. Gabby was so helpful and answer all of my questions. When I called and spoke with Mike, he walked me through the process of the estimate that the insurance sent based on the pictures and advised that once the bumper comes off and there is more damaged beneath, he assured me the claims adjuster would do a supplement estimate. When I dropped my car off Stacy drove me to Enterprise to pick up my rental and when I left my bag in her back seat, she drove it over to Enterprise for me to pick it up later. That was so kind and thoughtful. The team at Bar Harbour was amazing, they made me feel seen and heard, they understood my concerns and eased me through them all. The fuel tank door had broken off of my GLC 300. I found Bar Harbor auto on google. They gave me a great estimate and a very short window finishing the job. On the day I picked it up, I was very happy with the quality of the work. They also replaced my remote battery and washed my car, The customer service was excellent . Let me start out by saying I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bar Harbor Auto Body to anyone in need of repairs (just in case you aren't inclined to read further). I was recently hit by an Amazon truck so I brought my SUV to Bar Harbor for body work. The owner, Mike, communicated directly with the other insurance company to coordinate the repairs, booked my rental through Enterprise and even drove me there after I dropped off my vehicle. Mike negotiated for the correct parts that would match my year/model since the insurance company only allotted funds for aftermarket parts and left out crucial components of the job. My lift gate suddenly stopped working after my accident, but I wasn't initially sure if it was a result of the collision since I was hit from the side. Mike and his team took the time to check into the issue, were able to identify the part, how it could have been affected by the impact and negotiated with insurance to cover it. Thankfully they were right and my lift gate works perfectly again! Mike also looked into a separate, non-accident issue with my locks when I mentioned I had a problem and priced out some parts I would need. If all of that wasn't enough, I accidentally dropped my key fob on the floor as I was picking up my car...and it broke into a bunch of pieces. Instead of letting me go home and try to fix it, like I offered, since it was almost closing time, he stayed and put it back together one button at a time. When things like this happen it is always reassuring to know you have someone incredibly knowledgable on your side. I knew my car was in safe hands and will recommend Bar Harbor to everyone I know. My car came back cleaner then when I dropped it off, I was updated frequently, repairs were done quickly and there was no headache on my end regarding the other insurance company. We took a flyer on an auto body shop in hopes to save a couple bucks on headlamp replacement after the dealer told us it would be a couple thousand dollars. Chris and his team at bar harbor far and away exceeded expectations! They truly, truly made the experience painless. Can't say enough good things about them. I'd like to preface this review by saying I rarely take the time to post reviews for businesses, even when the work is done correctly. It takes some phenomenal work and customer service for me to do so. Because of my overwhelming positive experience at Bar Harbor auto, I am taking the time to write this review. With that being said, I took my truck into Bar Harbor Auto after another "specialty 4x4 shop" did work on my truck. Their abysmal work and complete lack of competence left me with a huge problem, that if not addressed would have cost me thousands later on down the road. Mike, the owner, was amazing. He was both honest and professional. He took the time to explain the entire process and how the shop would handle the repair. He was down to earth and did not try to make a quick buck off me as some other places would have. John was the technician assigned to do the repair and if I could give him 10 stars I would. You can see in his work that he is passionate and extremely knowledgeable in his craft. They brought me into the shop, showed me what they did and I was blown away. Seamless perfection. Cant say enough about how good he is at what he does. Julie and Blue- the office staff were exceptionally kind, professional and welcoming. I tried this place out after I saw them do a iPad contest on their Facebook page. It was extremely hard to find from the street and I missed the turn originally. I almost just went home but I figured I already made the trip so I would just go. I've never had to get any work done on my car before and didn't have a good attitude about body shops. I was very hesitant and reserved (and aggravated from missing the turn). I think the women at the front desk picked up on it and tried to calm me down by offering me coffee or tea from the Keurig in the corner. After I filled out some forms, I spoke with Jeremy and Mike about the damage on the car. They made me feel really comfortable throughout the process and eventually I forgot about my hesitations and reservations. They explained all of the damage and all the steps they would need to take to fix it, which made me feel better. Especially since this was my first big body shop trip! I decided that I would come back after getting rear-ended. (Just my luck) I'm really glad I did! I was treated so well the first time, and I haven't been treated like that anywhere else. Minus three for returning my car with a dent that wasn't there before (however I can't prove it was their fault since I don't have pictures) Plus one for suggesting I DON'T get something fixed since it was unnecessary at the time and it would have been very tough for me to afford. Mike provided a quote on my 2016 Nissan Sentra. He was friendly and very knowledgeable, furthermore, he was honest and not out to get my money. He took a look at the scratches and dents on my car, and provided a quote. When I told him that I was trading the car in within a few days, he immediately dissuaded me from letting the body shop do the repairs. He said it would be better in the long run if I simply turn the car in as is and get whatever I could for the trade. I really appreciate his honest answer and ethics. read more

Their estimate was on par with the other shops but their customer service, friendly staff and clean facilities made me choose this location. Jamie was very detailed in his estimate and Julie and Mike kept informed with all of the progress and updates that were happening with my vehicle. I'd like to start this review by saying that I almost never write reviews. Mike did such a good job making me feel valued as a customer, so I felt like he deserved a good review. If I could give him 10 star, I would. Mike was very upfront and honest about everything, and did a very good job at showing me my options that I had in order to fix the back bumper of my mustang. He showed me the steps that he was going to take to fix my car, which also made me feel comfortable. He gave me a reasonable price, and had my car back very quickly. He even went out of the way and fixed 2 scratches on bumper the were not pointed out to him when he gave me the quote. Overall, great guy, and I will say that I will more than likely show back up in the future to get my car polished and ceramic coated. read more

A huge branch fell through my windshield and crushed my hood and headlight. I called Bar Harbor and they made me feel at ease right away. The owner actually spoke to me and explained everything to where I could understand. His staff handled my tow, contacting my insurance, and rental. When my insurance tried to lowball me with their first try, Mr. Mike fought for me and now my car looks better than new!! I couldn't have been happier with the friendly staff there. I would recommend this shop to everyone, especially the ladies. They made sure I was comfortable and advocated for me! This is the second repair at this shop. As someone who frequently damages her car, I have become infamous at Bar Harbor. Everyone I have encountered here, from the owner to the body techs have been beyond helpful and nice. These guys are not like normal body shops- they will go out of their way to ensure that you as the customer are happy and paying as little as possible by showing different options for parts with different price points (aftermarket versus brand new). The knowledge of the industry and relationships with insurance companies is impressive. I love that they were able to drop me off to grab a rental car in the middle of a busy work day.
