I've been away for more than six months and this cafe's improvements have really elevated the Gordon St. John Ave precinct. We came here bright and early at 6am for breakfast. So bonus points for opening this early to cater to workers and people dealing with jet lag. We had muesli, French toast, big pan bf and warm flaky croissant. Every one was presented to us not only nicely but they also tasted great. Muesli was homemade, crunchy, well toasted with a good mix of nuts and dried fruit. The accompanying fresh fruit was of generous proportion too. French toast was made with their own baguette with sides of banana and syrup. Big bf was huge with eggs, 2 sausages, greens, mushrooms, bacon and a side of baguette. Croissant was fresh out of the oven and something to die for! We had 2 skim lattes which were average as it wasn't hot enough for our taste. I would return again and again but the breakfast did cost quite a bit so it will be for special weekends or a treat.

There I have confessed it…read more Though I love Pablo & Rusty's on the other side of the train station, Pecorino's is more conducive to a cup of coffee and conversation with friends. The seating is more ample and the shop is less busy by virtue of being off the highway. I love their Vanilla Lattes. For afternoon tea, it is always fun to nibble on their delicious Bruschetta. Sit out on the patio to absorb the beautiful Sydney sunshine and enjoy the lovely landscape across the street.

A great place to sit down for a morning coffee and gently start the day. Ordering my dbl mac as per usual, I thought I might treat myself to a big breaky (honestly I had a bit of a craving for bacon). So while waiting for breaky to arrive my coffee appeared and at first glance, these guys had done a pretty good job. Not too much milk or froth, a good amount of crema, and it was not burnt. About the only thing they could have done better would have been to have shorter shots. As my first Schibello coffee I can only compare it to other brands. This one has a bland commercial flavour to it. I would still put it above Vittoria, but when compared to Vella Nero, Klink, or Air Coffee, there simply is no comparison. As I finished my coffee, breakfast arrived. I hate to be too picky but... a big breaky with only 1 rasher of bacon, a hash brown soaked in oil, and what can only be described as a cheap Coles like sausage is not Ao impressive. The eggs were well cooked and the mushrooms were generous, but I don't think I shall order this from here again. If you have followed these directions correctly, you'll have a park on your left, and in front of you, a nice little cafe filled with locals. Now I am not saying this is a cafe I would travel hours to try, but they do make a damm good cup of coffee. Having had A LOT of coffee over the past few weeks, I have grown to appreciate even more than before cafes that are proud of their coffee. These guys are well within their rights to be. Perfect amount of milk. Perfect amount of froth. But more than then, they also got a really nice crema. *Thumbs up* So if you are in the area, and are in need of a coffee, jump off the train (no ticket gates here so you can jump back on once you are done), find this cafe, and chill out. Nice little gem. Cafe Summary ------------------------ Passion for Coffee - 8/10 Coffee beans - Belaroma coffee Crema (1=burnt, 10=velvet) - 7/10 Special coffees avail? - N/A

Popped across from Marion Street Theatre where my three kids and I were enjoying a 5th bday party and stage play at interval, simple order... young counter attendant unable to remember then pulls face when i correct him to the right order. received 'toasted' banana bread to the aroma of burnt toast. Returned it and asked for one not burnt only to be told that i should have asked for lightly toasted!! I put forward my complaint of poor service only to be yelled at by the Asian lady out back, mind you who has burnt the bread, that I was a BAD customer... albeit a paying one none the less hey lady!! Concluding the short but not pleasant visit the older male whoppeared to be in charge of the place, that I was in a hurry and that was the problem... so much of a hurry I was that I was willing to wait around for another piece to be cooked properly!! This business gives customer service workers as I am, a bad name and would recommend to anyone attending Marion Street Theatre that u give it a wide berth. jo
