Our service was great and our waitress was really knowledgeable. I really enjoyed all of the food we got but was disappointed in the size/amount of pieces in the king grab sushi roll for $28. Two of the pieces fell apart almost instantly after being picked up with chopsticks and the pieces of crab on the side were tiny! The rolls were good but for the price and amount of crab on the roll I couldn't justify ordering it again. The corn esquites side dish was incredible and I even ordered one to go for my husband to try! I would come back for this dish alone. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was tasty as well. Overall it's a gorgeous spot with good food and drinks but pretty expensive for portion sizes.

We ordered A LOT of dishes to share (see pics). I personally don't eat beef/porks/seafood but from what I did try the truffle edamame was good. They have a more of a bar food menu for HH but you can only order at the bar. We were able to slide in an order of fries. The space is nice but the menu was maybe too far out of my taste range (as a picky eater). They have a bit of a Japanese-Mexican fusion which is interesting. There used to be a place with this concept off of 394 by ridgedale mall (now it's an olive garden) but I wondered if this was the same place however this place is more upscale.

It's extremely noisy, and the tables are very close together. We had to listen to a little boy watching cartoons on his phone the entire evening, which was NOT what I was planning for our 25th anniversary dinner. Touching on our anniversary, I called and made a reservation 3 weeks prior and begged the host on the phone to put us in a quiet corner, not in the middle of the room. I had very special plans and was going to present my wife with a beautiful new diamond ring to replace the one she got 15 years ago on our 10th. When we arrived, we were placed at a very small table right smack in the middle of the room!!! I asked the host when she tried to seat us if she could please put us in the corner table, which was vacant, and was told no, this is the best table we can give you. I was NOT HAPPY!!! Completely ruined every plan I had. We worked through the table location and made the best of what we were given. The waiter was very polite and professional and took very good care of us. The food was delicious and despite the table location, it was an awesome evening. I will say this to anybody reading... do NOT go here if you're looking for a quiet romantic evening. It's not the place. Otherwise... 100% recommended!!!!

There is a reason 6Smith is busy. We made a reservation for the patio and even in 90 degree weather…read moreit was comfortable. They have big umbrellas, fans and the water to keep things cool. The most uncomfortable thing is finding a place to park. If you can't find a spot in the lot, tracking down a street spot that isn't only 1 hour can be a challenge or a bit of a walk. We started with cocktails and Bread is Life appetizer (5/5). Bread is indeed life. We needed two baguettes to eat the three butters/sauces. The whipped ricotta and honey was my favorite, but the chimichurri was a close second. For entrees we split the Beet and Watermelon King Salmon Salad (3/5), A Fat Burger (5/5), Chilled Lobster Roll (4/5), and the Spicy Lobster Mac and Cheese (5/5). The salad was good, but the salmon didn't have enough seasoning for me. It's also more of a traditional watermelon salad vs lettuce salad. The lobster roll was good, but of course mostly bread. It was a hardy sandwich and filled more than other restaurants. The burger was in fact fat, cheesy and juicy. The sandwiches come with hand cut fries (5/5) and an aioli. While the Mac and cheese says it's spicy, it's more of a Minnesota spice. It's a shareable portion, but no more than 3 people if they have other food. For dessert we ordered the Mud Moon Pie (4/5). When they say it's served with a knife they mean it. The portion size is huge! Like 6-12 people could eat on it. We ended up sharing with the table next to us. We were warned it was shareable, but I wish there would have been a smaller portion option to select. We felt so wasteful not being able to eat even half of it. We loved our server. We never felt rushed, our water glasses were never empty and she split the bill with our individual dishes and then split the shared items (I love when they do this vs giving us one bill). While the prices are a little high, the portion sizes and quality of food make it worth it.

Wow. Spectacularly awful. If you like cold (and I mean COLD)…read morefood and pretentiousness this is the place for you. Now I will say the Tomato toast and the cherry sour drink was good. However, it started going downhill when a dish was brought out by a runner before any of the other dishes and was set on our table without silverware. She left without bringing silverware and it would be a full 5 minutes before our server was able to be flagged down to get us silverware. We noted that this dish needed to be refired and brought out with the remaining dishes. After 15 minutes more the rest if the meal came out, and you guessed it, the original "needs to be refired" dish came out 5 minutes later. My wife's pasta was cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. Think I just opened a can of chef boyardee's and poured on a plate cold. It was disgusting. Oh and the "refired spaghetti" (buttered noodles) was also cold. The chicken parm (which their version is deep fried chicken) was warm but unseasoned and the breading was oil sogged because the frying oil was clearly not hot enough. This place gets 1 star. My favorite part was when the runner was doing her makeup in a mirror behind the hostess stand in the middle of the dining room. At a price of $183 for two for pasta this place needs to rethink their workers, their menu, and how they are going to keep attracting people. Shut down for three weeks and learn how to run your restaurant! That the Strib gave these guys a glowing review is beyond me. Very emperor's new clothes.

Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

There is a good cocktail, wine, and beer menu with Guinness, of course, and several Irish whiskeys. My server, Bill, was a delight. We talked about our dogs (mini dachshund for me, Malinois for him) and our shared love of Costa Rica. I ended up ordering the French Onion soup and a Lobster Roll with fries. The soup came out first and it was just as sumptuous and beefy as I hoped. The melted Gruyère and caramelized onions made a hearty starter. The Lobster Roll was perfect: chopped lobster on a warm, buttered, toasted roll topped with slivers of pickled carrots. The lobster was chilled and didn't need any dressing at all. The fries were plentiful, thin, and perfectly crispy yet still tender inside. A home run. Excellent food, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and terrific staff made it a delightful lunch.
