It is also across the street from Roma Termini. O...M...G!!! These popular Maritozzo breakfast buns are to die for. It resembles the shape of a football. It's imitating at first. How do I hold and eat it without making a mess? Heck, just open wide and stuff this baby into your mouth. And if it gets all over your pretty lips, just lick it off with your tongue. I'm not one for whipped cream but these are incredibly light, like eating a cloud. The bun is pillowy soft. I didn't feel guilty eating it. It's perfect with a cup of hot coffee. Here, they come in two sizes. It reminds me of those Chinese Coconut Buns but BETTER!!! I'm surprised that I have never seen these buns since we have a huge Italian population in NY/NJ/PA. I have to see if I can find these back home. Busy place for locals who have their coffee standing up at the bar before they go on with their day.
