Owner not very nice. Was the first person here to make us feel unwelcome unfortunately. Will not be returning.

Extremely terrible food, overpriced, and awful service. Would not recommend and will not be coming again.

A great place to recharge and get a sweet treat after a long day of travels - including charging up the phones:) Pictures don't do it justice! Reminiscent of a coastal coffee/pastry shop in Cinque Terre. Pricing is reasonable, staff is courteous and they play music that could lull you into nap mode! A worthwhile stop one level above the train platforms.

Amazing pastries, specially croissants (we tried their pistachio and albicocca/apricot croissant)…read morealong with a cappuccino and macchiato. The croissant is incredibly light and fluffy but packed with flavor. I also love how the interior is decorated with lemons to make you feel like you are sitting in a villa. The coffee drinks have thick milk in it which actually tastes pretty light because they froth the coffee like crazy making it taste even better. I normally don't drink coffee with milk but this place has converted me to craving this. Hands down the best coffee I have had in Rome so far. This place is always packed with people which is testament to how good this place is and how much Italians need their coffee in the morning. This area of the train station is incredibly warm and cozy (perfect for the cold January weather when we visited Rome). We honestly could have sat here for hours to people watch and indulge in their various kinds of croissants. Overall the ambiance is very classy and makes you feel like you are sitting in a villa even though it's 30 degrees F. Would recommend if you have a few mi to spare at the terminal.

The store will give you a receipt with QR code that you will scan to enter the bathrooms. The Bathrooms are on the first floor in the back, near the pizzeria. The bathrooms are VERY CLEAN and definitely worth even buying a bottle of water for. Highly recommend the Daniele Meini (La mozzarella e i formaggi) where they have amazing salads, pastas, and sandwiches. Got a mixed salad (insalata mista) with prosciutto and Burrata which was Buonissimo! It came with tomatoes, fresh olives, and a packet of olive oil to add to your liking. They also asked me if I wanted balsamic on top, which was an excellent touch. They also have a pecorino Romano cheese wheel that they will use to cook your pasta in. Don't just take my word for it, upon check out, our hotel staff highly recommended checking in a little early to our train so there's time to check out the Mercado Céntrale!

Quite a few vendors but a lot of them selling stuff that is not freshly made, we tried a few vendors but were not impressed. Pro tip - if you need to use the restroom, you need to buy something at the Mercato and use the barcode on the receipt to enter the restroom.
