This is one of my favorite places in town. I love their shrimp po-boy and brisket. The flavors are always fresh. I always try and change up the combinations of sides with what I order. I wanted to find a local place on I-55 as I drove to New Orleans from Jackson, and yelpers seemed fairly adamant about this place. And they didn't disappoint. I ordered a brisket burger without tomatoes. The burger included a beef patty, brisket, bacon (everything a growing boy needs), cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles and barbecue sauce. What followed was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The brisket was tender, the cheese nice and gooey, and the sauce had a perfect sweetness with a bit of tang. I would have given a rating of 5 had the sauce been made in house, but the girl at the counter told me it was bought from another company. Even though I got the regular brisket burger, it was still a large burger, and I didn't need any sides to add on as the burger left me sufficiently full. If you're hungry enough, you can get an Ultimate Brisket Burger, which comes with double the brisket, bacon and cheese with a 1 lb. patty. Finishing it in one sitting gets you a certificate and a picture on their Facebook page. read more

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but was really disappointed in my recent visit. The quality of the food was not what it was previously. The brisket salad was served to me without avocados. When I asked for them, I was given an incredibly small portion. One of the best things about this salad used to be the huge portion of avocados on the top. The young lady informed me that I received the portion size and that I could t have any more. This is not how I expect to be treated as a customer. My husband ordered the two meat plate. His brisket was very dry. We were both very disappointed in the decline in quality of the food. Food is always good. Portions are always great and service is friendly. Get the Brisket Burger, or if you are extremely hungry get the Ultimate Brisket Burger.... You can split it and still not finish half! The Ribs are almost as good as you can get! read more

Was looking for a good hamburger on the way back to Missouri from NOLA and decided to venture of the Interstate based on the reviews and was not disappointed! We had the brisket burger and it was delicious!! The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The service was good and quick.
