When we got there, we tapped the bell and a lady came out and asked what service we needed. We told her my daughter needed eyebrow threading before her senior pictures. She sat my daughter down and asked what look she wanted. We basically just said to clean them up and shape them to fit her face naturally. My daughter was nervous since she thought threading might hurt or that she could get nicked, but she said it actually wasn't very painful at all and there were no nicks! Definitely way faster and better than plucking. Her brows came out really nice and natural. We'll definitely be back for her next threading appointment. HOW?! I've been getting my nails done for years and years at other salons, and I know what these services typically cost. They do NOT charge an arm and a leg like this. Maybe I'm just too nice to speak up when things don't go the way I expected. I'm not going to name the nail tech because she's not the one who sets the prices the owner/manager does. Long story short: I originally agreed to get Gel-X. Somehow, I ended up getting builder gel instead. Ma'am... if I wanted builder gel, I wouldn't need you to cut my real nails down and put full tips on all 10 fingers. ‍ And another thing the tips were glued SO short. I mentioned it, and she laughed it off, but because I was already in a rush, I was being nice and said, "It's okay." So I let it go. Then came the bill... $108. What really made me question everything is that my friend got basically the same thing a new set with builder gel, PLUS designs on all 10 fingers! and she paid $70. Like... WHAT?! So yes, I definitely feel like I was overcharged, especially for a plain, super-short set. I should've spoken up, but lesson learned. I WILL NOT be coming back to this nail salon.
