I got gel manicure last Thursday and within a day my nail color have started coming off ( I have been getting gel color last 15 years from various salons and never seen it coming off in less than 3 weeks ). Poor quality of polish or uv - I don't know exactly what lead to nail color coming off starting the second day. Her service and quality speaks for itself. She's booked out far, so make sure you call ahead for an appointment. I only trust her with my mani/pedi. She's the best in the Bay Area, hands down. The shop small, but most importantly, CLEAN!!! and well organized. Today I came in for a pedi (sorry no toe photos haha, trust me they're super cute too) and a full extended gel set. I came to Jeanne's Nail Spa for trying out my first set of dip powder nails. I have some eczema/psoriasis on my hands and prior to starting asked Jeanne if it would be an issue. She took a look, and said it wouldn't be a problem. Through the manicure she was very detailed for her work, and patient as well. I wasn't super familiar how to position my hand and I appreciate how she was understanding she was. I have some horizontal ridges on my nails, and she even gave me some advice on how to best care for it. It's a nice gesture of any beauty business to give their expertise outside of just "the look" and the actual care of the client. I thought it was an issue with my eczema, but she explained it's likely a vitamin deficiency instead. Jeanne even took extra time to make sure my nails were sealed since I mentioned that I was leaving for a two week trip, and she didn't want the nails to lift. I strongly suggest calling and scheduling an appointment because even though I was only there for an hour, she received a few phone calls from customers trying to schedule appointments. She did it again. I went to see Jeanne for ombré nails. I never make it easy on her because I keep my nails pretty short, but the outcome is always so pleasing. I've seen ombré done with precision with gel, but not with dip. Jeanne said it's possible, and it was. Nails that dont lift, chip or break! This is the BEST nail salon in the area. I decided to come here before my trip to Puerto Rico and I'm so happy I did. We love the experience. I brought my two year old son and four year old daughter to cut and paint their nails. My son had been scratching his friends in school and the teacher is requesting to cut his nails. It was a nightmare trying to cut their nails, they wouldn't even let me file them. I would like to start by saying that my nail tech (Trinh) was very sweet and did a wonderful job- see attached picture. The owner Jeanne however is very rude and doesn't know how to provide customer service. At first I said I wanted acrylic so she started filing it down and I changed my mind so she told me very rudely "go over there" didn't clean off the dust on my hands and when I tried to from 20 ft away she said "stop doing that" even though I did it gently and it was nowhere near her. Secondly, I wanted a French tip on my manicure and the nail tech that was helping me didn't feel comfortable doing it and the owner said oh I'm busy you need to do it instead of like helping out her employee and finally when I decided to pick a Matte topcoat instead of a regular one she said that it's five dollars extra which I've never been charged before because it's the same thing as getting a clearcoat except it's Matte and she said that's just the way that we price. Mind you I am very happy to shell out cash if you are nice and you tell me in a good way but if you're going to have an attitude, no thank you. Also the towel that was used to wipe off the lotion smelled like it was rancid. I paid $40 for a gel manicure for no damn reason. My suggestion; save your money and go somewhere else. read more

let me start off by saying that jeanne is definitely talented with nails. her work is usually clean and neat. i normally do not like to write negative reviews for any business, but if you end up being rude and inconsiderate as a business owner then there is no reason to not write such a review. my mom has been a customer of hers for years. she gets dip nails and this time after a few days her nails started lifting for some reason. she had to wait almost two weeks for jeanne to finally give her time to fix them. not only did she not apologize for the issue with the nails, but she also blamed my mom saying she plays with her nails or something. so basically she had to get a fresh set of nails 2 times in December. she charged her the full price to fix the nails even though they started to lift just barely after getting them done. for some reason, the second time they lifted again. she again blamed my mom saying she does it on purpose?! she said my mom just sits at home and plays with her nails which causes them to lift. like girl nobody is weird enough to purposefully ruin their nails/nobody has the time. instead of apologizing for the inconvenience she straight up blames the customer, which is absurd. she also said several other insanely rude things calling my mom "cheap" and saying that since shes a stay at home mom she's cheap (its nobody's business who works/doesn't work?!). these comments are absolutely classless and to be saying these things to a customer is absolutely insane, let alone in front of another customer. my mom has been nothing but nice to her, even gifting her during christmas time. i don't care how talented she is, she does not have any manners and does not know how to be a respectful business owner. sadly time to find a new nail artist for us also- i understand some people will not necessarily care about a review like this since you don't really know the whole picture, however personally i wouldn't support a business where the owner thinks it's okay to yell at a customer and call them "cheap"/make accusations about them. even if the customer may be at fault you should reply with respect and decency. read more

Made an appt for 530 on a Wednesday. When I called, the woman asked me But I wanted to do with my nails. So I said I had a current set on that I needed to take off, and get a new one on. She confirmed with me 530 for my appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes early and sat around for a little bit but they ended up taking me early around 520. I'm not sure who the woman was who was doing my nails and she didn't introduce herself but she was pretty nice for the most part. She asked me if I needed a new set and I said yes and then she clarified that I just wanted gel on my nails not fake acrylic nails. She then spoken Vietnamese to the rest of her coworkers and I believe it was the owner who said "oh but you said on the phone you wanted a new set" and then I apologized because I didn't know that a new set meant new fake nails. I chose a cool looking cat eye polish and the woman informed me it was going to be an extra $15 dollars. I was amazed...that's a huge price hike just for fancier nail polish. I really do like the color but I don't think my entire manicure was worth $40 plus a $10 tip!!! I can't believe I spent $50 on just a manicure. After I paid, the woman reminded me yet again that I should request gel, not say a new set. Ok. Got it. After I left I could feel a lot of polish stuck to my skin. I made the mistake of pulling a bit at my skin and caused myself to get a cut. Pretty polish, but not worth the price. Nice clean salon with friendly ladies. read more

Jeanne is one of the best nail artist in Milpitas without a doubt, but as an Owner of a nail salon serving customers from diverse backgrounds, I find her to be indifferent, disrespectful, and argumentative, the moment you disagree with her on something respectfully or , similar to today, experience an unexpected delay and need to cancel your appointment. I have been a customer of Jeanne Nail salon for several years, since 2015. I give good tips, always go to my appointments, and never cause problems. Today, I had an appointment at 10am. I drove to the Citibank near Jeannes nails to find that I accidently left my debit card at home. I was so upset and embarrassed. Even though her salon has the capability to accept credit cards, she refuses and accepts cash only. I don't know how many times I've had to go to the bank next door and pay 3.00 for withdrawing cash just because she literally won't accept other forms of pay. So I have to go out of my way to withdraw money instead of using a payment option that works best for me. So when I found myself miles away from home and near the salon without payment since just got off from a long night shift, I was exhausted. I attempted to call the salon but it was still closed even 30 min before 10am. After explaining that I was upset because I left my debit card at home and drove all the way to Milpitas without any form of money on accident I would have to cancel. Instead of having good customer service and acknowledging my stress and dismay because I had to cancel getting my nails done. she says "If you aren't serious, don't set up an appointment; you are supposed to cancel the day before" when I have never missed an appointment before and have always worked around her scheduling delays. I found her response to be insensitive and just rude, and as a professional, I was shocked. She even hung up on me. She literally talked over me the entire time I was trying to share my situation and could care less about me as a customer. Sorry, but I'm going to find a salon who is respectful to their customers and doesn't treat them poorly and with disrespect. read more

This review is long overdue. I used to be a loyal client for 3+ years and had to stop coming here because the owner is rude. She always has an attitude and I've seen her talk to a lot of people in a not nice way including people who had appointments that were disappointed they needed to wait. I totally understood because you can't be even 5 mins late (even when you called to let her know) but she will make you wait 30+ minutes every time. The last straw was when she told me I can only pay her in cash moving forward when they had always accepted credit card. I know they prefer cash and she had been pushing for me to pay in cash almost every time I go, but I never, ever carry cash on me and my bank is super out of the way as it's not a very common one. When I asked because I noticed they still had a sign up saying they excepted certain credit cards and there was a credit card machine, she said "only me, I only accept cash now" Ridiculous, so the whole place accepts credit card except for her apparently.. I told her right then and there that I wouldn't be coming back again. Again this was years ago so not sure if things have changed or if this place is cash only now or what but they definitely used to accept card. Anyway yes she does good work but not good enough to put up with her stuck up attitude. There are lots of good nail salons that do good work with better customer service. read more

Was looking for a place closer to our new place and decided to try this place due to all the good reviews. i would definitely recommend making an appointment as this place is pretty small. i think they have 3-4 pedicure chairs and 4 nail stations. i arrived a few minutes before my appointment, but ended up still waiting to be taken, not this wasn't an issue since it takes me forever to choose a color. When I was looking at the colors, they lady took them from me and said you can look when it's your turn. I was kind of taken back, so one suggestion would be to get another or a few more sets of the colors so multiple people can look at the same time. i usually do gel, but decided to try the dip powder manicure. I really like it and they are still going strong (although grown out) 3 weeks later. They look more natural on the nail and hasn't lifted yet. It is more expensive than the gel, so i might switch off. The lady did a great job. Didn't talk much, but no issues there. My friend recommended this place so I called and made an appointment for a few days before my wedding. You will not be disappointed! Jeanne is the best. I broke one of my nails a day before so instead of cutting my nail I just put a bandaid and hoped that Jeanne would be able to work some magic and she did! Like many nail spas, they accept cash only.
