Never go for threading! They use the cheap quality thread that's hard and cuts your skin. See the picture for yourself! They also ask for $2 extra if you're using credit card which is completely absurd, I have never seen such a massive charge for card usage, I understand $1 or cents but the amount shouldn't be this large for a threading service. Bathrooms are super clean. Quick to greet you and i love that Seema suggested a hair color and highlights without using bleach on my fine weak hair. I haven't trusted anyone with my hair color play in over 19yrd as i see the mess they make in understanding my hair and my fear of bleach and walk away. I am so pleased at the results. They do good threading. However I would have liked and given decent tip if they cleaned up after threading and put the lotion/gel. These are pretty basic post threading services which go a long way for customer satisfaction. It was first time ever that I had to clean my face myself after the threading.. One of the worst facial ever. The lady didn't even remove my eyeliner before the facial and all the eyeliner kept going into my eye. I first thought it was the cream from the facial but was surprised to see kajal and liner on the tissue when I wiped it(see pic). The facial massage was just a formality and she didn't even put an eyepatch/cucumber on the eyes to relax and when asked, she replied "I can put a wet tissue if you want on your eyes". Can you believe this?? Total waste of time and money. Oh yes, I forgot to mention about the screwed up eyebrows she gave me. She made one shorter in length and when I showed the displeasure about the asymmetrical eyebrows, she asked me to "apply pencil". No wonder this place has such low rating. I had gone for my daughter's haircut. She had a long hair and there was a huge knot in the back (result of not letting me help her everyday ). I tried and used everything (conditioning, oil, detangler to separate the hair, different combs) I can think of but nothing helped. I took her to Seema Beauty Salon, Seema was extremely patient and kind. After long battle she was able to untangle and trimmed bottom hair to make it healthy again. I am sitting on the new squishy couch now. My beloved Rosa no longer works at the Naz down the street so I headed here. I am impressed it's really nice in here, the sign says $7 for eyebrows ( it's 8 down the street) and there are two threaders here.. The Indian grocery store is next door too! Pretty good! I'll be back! It's the next morning, in the morning light my eyebrows are shaped well, no stray hairs. I am still pleased! read more

I've come here a couple of times to get my eyebrows threaded. Each time, it was horrible trying to find parking in the tiny lot. The wait time wasn't too bad, the customer service was mediocre, and the outcome of threading is average shaping. The customer service was not so great but what can you ask for when you are only charged $8 for the service? Threading was an interesting experience but I think I'll go back to waxing/tweezing. read more

Horrible! While everyone is switching to painless threads, this beauty salon has the most painful threads. Their service is not great either. Had to correct them multiple times with the fear of having my eyebrows screwed up. Never going there ever. Also, very expensive. Prefer kashish over this in the same area. Worst place to go for Mehndi service. I went there with my friends for mehndi and the lady just put any design on my hand. No grace while drawing mehndi and she even kept smudging which i have to ask her to fix it. On top of it she charged 40$ per hand which is super expensive. I have regretted my visit to Seema Beauty Salon for the last two months! I went in to get my eyebrows shaped and one of the ladies there was helping me. She made my right eyebrow beautifully round and gave my left eyebrow a high arch! My face looks ridiculous, given that one eyebrow is much higher than the other. It is so egregious that other threading specialists estimate that it will take a few more months to correct. What's more, when I pointed it out to her, she flippantly replied that I must've visited another salon in between where they made a mess of my eyebrows. I kept trying to convince her for a while that my eyebrows had been even to begin with and literally begged her to take a second look, but she was having none of it. She even went so far as to say that something was wrong with me for suggesting that my eyebrows were not even!! I then asked another eyebrow specialist in the salon to take a look and she winced at the shape and tried to correct it, but the damage was already done! This is a ridiculously rude place. I went there at 1:50PM on Friday afternoon and there were minimal people sitting on the chair. Literally empty. Let me remind these people have written on their door - " Walk -ins welcome". Guess what people are not welcome here!! I asked them for eyebrows/ upper lip and a hair wash service. The only person in the nearly empty place told me they can only do eyebrows and upper lip and nothing else. There were people happily chatting in the back but no one wanted to work in the middle of the afternoon. The lady did tell me they have a big appointment at 2:00PM. This is the same owners/operators as the El Camino Real location. They just opened yesterday, April 18th, 2009 So, I ended up here because I was looking for another place on the same street to get my brother's fiancee's eyebrows done and that spot ended up being closed. We were about to drive off when we notice a dimly lit place with a cardboard, hand printed sign that said "eyebrows 10% off $6" and a "Grand Opening" banner right over the door. We walked in thinking it would just be another dirty little waxing place that keeps a grand opening sign up to hopefully attract some business because no one comes back. Oh, were we ever wrong. Everything was clean and a very nice Indian woman introduced herself and asked if we needed help. As soon as we said we were looking to get eyebrows done, she got to business and asked "one of you or both?" We said both, thinking she could do mine first, see if it looked alright and then trust her to do Thuy's, which are much thinner and need to be treated with care. Mine looked fantastic! I had never done threading before and she explained it to me, showed me how it worked on my arm hair and rubbed some aloe to alleviate the small amount of pain I did have. She said she had been doing this for close to 13 years and that she learned how in India. Very nice woman. After I paid and tipped her, she did Thuy and she was just as happy as I am with the results. it was quiet and wide open, understandable with having been only open for two days but I think it's going to get pretty busy if they always do such a good job for clients. read more

I would probably give this place 1 star but because Narmella is AMAZING I'm giving this place 3 stars! Narmella does an awesome job! She is the only one that touches my eyebrows. The reason I wish Narmella worked somewhere other than Seema's: 1) Prices are ridiculous here! 2) Unprofessional service- this one time they misplaced the check I wrote. I get a call from Seema about one month later to ask me to write a new check since they misplaced the original one. Not once did she apologized for misplacing my check that contains my name, address, and account number. Instead of calling me to give me heads up she asks me to write them another check. I stopped writing checks to them since than. 3) The ridiculous charges for using a credit or debit card. We are in the 21st Century Seema- get with it. Nobody uses cash anymore. Stop charging crazy fees on cards. Get Square! Today is September 2nd, 2017. The salon was supposed to be open at 9:30am. It's currently 9:46am and the salon is still closed. Apparently your business functions on Indian Standard Time! Basically I'm writing this review while I wait for your salon to open. Too rude staff! Completely unwelcoming! Was just asked to sit and waited there 5 mins where there was no one in the parlor and 2 staff members sat chit chatting. Ignoring that we started. I have been here twice where first time I got cut on my upper lip at multiple places and I gave a second chance letting know the lady to do it slow. This time she just left some hair saying your skin is too 'sensitive'. I don't think she realized this is my millionth time doing upper lips. Zero patience! Seeing this service I went for 0 tip but she already added some percent saying this is the card fee where her bill dint say a word about it. Completely dissatisfied I just left. I called at 7:10am today but because they were closed I left a voicemail hoping to be able to get an appointment. They called me back around 11am and I made an appt. I was helped my Seema and the service I had done was eyebrow threading. It took maybe about 5 minutes! Seema did a great job and was so quick to accommodate me through the phone and in person. I loved my eyebrows. I been coming here since I was of age to pluck my eyebrows. I've moved out of the area and I still commute to this location after trying other salons closer to where I live. I have not gotten any other service but I highly recommend for eyebrow threading. It's also super cost effective! read more

I wanted to take a moment and share my wonderful experience with Seema Beauty Salon. I called for a last-minute appointment on Saturday. Seema was very accomodating and the service was excellent. She did an amazing job with eyebrows, waxing. Given COVID, I was a bit nervous but honestly was quite relieved when I entered the salon. The place was super clean. the salon is taking all the precautions. She made sure to sanitize thoroughly each chair, mirror, and everything on the station that was used.
