Alright yall - this review is overdue so bear with me. I was trying to gate keep a bit because I love my girl, Gianna, so much! I was loyal to another lash studio for over 8 years until there were some issues that came up with some of their personnel. Following those incidents, I was on a hunt for a new lash home and tried a few other places that didn't do it for me until I landed here. I inquired for a lash appointment after reading some prior reviews and ended up getting booked with Gianna. When we first met, I told her how I generally like my lash extensions -- she listened, added her own twist, and the rest is history. I have been seeing her religiously since -- and, I think we are going on 3 years. On average, I see her every two weeks but sometimes more if I have a special engagement or travel plans in the horizon. Now, on to her skills of this trade. Some people acquire a particular skill set through rigorous training and certifications and while that may be true in this case -- I would argue that she is simply gifted. I often tease her that she's a perfectionist because she doesn't cut corners and never settles for just the average. She focuses on ensuring that each lash extension really matches her client's lash line because as we all know, no pair of eyes are ever the same. I appreciate how she makes the style of the extension work to bring more of a dramatic and elevated look without making it overbearing to the face. And overall, I always remind her how sweet and kind of a person she is. She's down to earth and speaks from the heart when we talk about life, family, travel, relationships, etc. -- I'm so lucky to have found her. The atmosphere is super relaxing, with a cozy recliner and soft music playing in the background. She's profesional and her prices are reasonable. IVY is the MVP. The quality of her work is outstanding! I showed her a picture of the style I requested, and she certainly delivered. I like short lashes since it fits my almond shaped monolid eyes. My lash extensions last for 5 weeks as I follow her advice. Even when I am active with workouts, sleep on the side, go to sauna 2-3 times a week, the lashes stay on for at least 4-5 weeks! I wanna hype her more, but I might be left with no more appointments to book! Haha The new recliner seats are so comfortable. The music is relaxing, and the whole experience is like a spa! Been coming here since 2023 and Thy has been my lash person. The quality of service she provide is superb! I live in Union City and partially stays in San Jose so I for sure will be coming here often. The lash lasts for soooo long vs to the others that I've tried before. When I moved here I was so worried about finding a quality lash studio that could accomadate my schedule, was close by, had great retention and was quality as I prefer to have 3-4 week fills. I went to Ivy at first and she was nothing short of amazing. She was very details orientated and encourage me to feel cozy and safe. Then I happen to accidently book Hanh herself for a 3 week fill and she told me something that no one has ever offered to do.... she was willing to fix my 7 year old botched microblading. Not only did the artistry of her craft reflect in her lash mapping and intuition of length; she is also a master Eyebrow expert. So I first went to Gianna a couple of months ago, and I was not happy about my experience or my lashes. Fast forward 2wks after that appointment, I was set up with Hanh for an appointment to fix the initial service at a discounted rate. Some big differences were: it was painless and stayed that way, and the lashes stayed on longer this time. Hanh and I have talked about the look I want because even though I was getting 2D, it didn't look as "natural, yet full" as I wanted. This last time around we did slightly thicker single lashes mixed in with some 2Ds for a wispy, open-eye classic look, and I really liked it! Actually I'll post a photo after my next refill. 5* for Hanh's work. She is very skilled, and I'd definitely come back. I've just recently gotten my lashes & refills done by Jessica. The set that I requested for was "Volume" w/ wispy and cat eye look since I like my lashes to be full and to stand out in pics. I believe she used 10-16mm in length. I've only gotten my lashes done like 2x in the past at other locations in SJ however this location has to be one of the best so far in terms of service, experience, and cleanliness. I'm rlly happy that I booked w/ Jessica! Thanks to my sisters who've previously booked at this location that I was able to choose someone that they highly recommended :-) In terms of the service, my lash artist was super nice, had attention to detail, and took her time accordingly for each of her clients. I did not have to wait long in terms of the time I initially booked for. She would let me know prior in case she went over the time frame but I only had to wait for like 5-10 min. All in all, I will be def be coming back to this location since it's so close to home. I'm now considering the other services such as getting my brows microbladed :-o read more

Hanh is a lash tech that will listen to your wants but also examines the health of your lashes. She will give you the look you're wishing for, without jeopardizing your natural lashes. We're in this for the long run ladies and gents! Hanh is the only reason why I'm still able to have full and luscious eyelash extensions even after 8+ years of having them continuously (I've been with Hanh for the last 6 years). When I had to change lash techs I was devastated because there really aren't many techs that can do volume lashes correctly. I'm super picky! I found Hanh 6 years ago and I never looked back!!! Hanh will make sure every lash has extensions and the retention is amazing too! I truly believe you get what you pay for. I was not happy with my first time here, first off, the mannerism was not very welcoming and I feel like there was no additional questions when it came to the detail of the style i wanted. I communicated my previous allergy and concerns prior to booking an appointment because i was nervous to try a new place. Prior to this place i had been experiencing really puffy and itchy eyes after my appointments considering i developed an allergy to the glue. I spoke to the one in charge who informed me that the lashes would be placed further from my lash line which could prevent the reaction and that this was communicated to the lash tech who would be doing my lashes. During the whole appointment there was no communication with the lash tech and my eyes were watering the ENTIRE time, i look at the lashes and they are clumpy and not a full set classic at all. I'm even more upset that the cost was more than what i paid at my previous place but at least the allergy was worth the work at the last place. I did a lot of research of local lash artists, because I was getting eyelash extensions done for the first time ever. Lashes By Hanh hit all the criteria on my list: 1.) Great quality work, 2.) Reputability, and 3.) Affordability. Plus points for their excellent customer service as well! I felt that the employees whom I interacted with genuinely cared about me as a customer. These were some key examples: - Prior to my appointment, I had a lot of questions. I corresponded to Hanh via email, and she was not only quick to respond but also clear in answering my questions. - On the day of my appointment I had an emergency situation by which my car died on the way to the lash studio. I was actually on the shoulder of the highway waiting for a tow, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it to my appointment on time. I called Lashes By Hanh and explained what happened and hoped to reschedule my appointment to a later time that day. The male employee whom I was talking to on the phone was awesome! He even said to me that he didn't want me to lose my deposit, so he acted as the liaison to coordinate between me and my advanced lash artist, Vanessa. He was able to set up a same-day appointment for a later time. - I am so grateful for Vanessa's flexibility. She was able to accommodate me as her last client for the day, which I felt bad about since I pushed back her day. She was so sweet and compassionate about what had happened to me. Furthermore, Vanessa was thorough with the post-care instructions and showed me how to wash my lashes and use the spoolie. Now on to the lashes... I got a natural set, and I totally knew what l was getting into. I intentionally wanted to achieve a classic look especially since this was going to be my first time getting lash extensions. I wear glasses too, and Vanessa was conscientious of the length and shape of my lashes in relation to my glasses. She wanted to makes sure my lashes didn't brush up against the lenses, so she went with a cat-eye shape. I am extremely happy with the final product, and I love how my lashes compliment my glasses so well. I will eventually graduate to volume, which I trust will come out amazing. Lastly, the session itself was super comfortable for me. I had a restful nap during most of the process! I have been getting my lashes for over 5 years now and I have been seen by several different lash techs during this time, each person has always given me a good experience, but Hanh has always been the best in the game. I always dread the length of the appointment as we know perfection takes time, but Hanh has always made me feel comfortable and she works so quick! I leave within an hour and a half, at most 2. She gives such a relaxing and comfy vibe, I instantly take a good nap and it goes by quick. You dont even feel the touch on your lashes, definitely hands of an angel. I find that my eyelashes tend to clump together post shower even though I avoid getting them wet but there's still steam/moisture from the shower.. and my eyes burn post shower (which is really uncomfortable).. I see on Google that that usually means the technician might've used too much glue which I think might be my case because I've had eye lash extensions before but I've never had this burn in my eyes even post shower. ** 3.5 stars as I feel like there can be some improvements made to the business ** One flaw I thought was when I booked the appt online, it didn't let me choose a specific artist for a reg lash artist. Also, the posts on instagram were mostly Hanh's and I could only find one for the lash artist that was assigned to me. I believe every artist working here should be a reflection of her work and business, not "whether or not they choose to post." Anyways, i booked a session for natural lashes. I was very dissatisfied with Cindy's work as it was way too voluminous for my liking and not blended enough. Some lashes near my inner corner were longer than the ones in the middle. She ended up trimming them.. Also, the retention were really poor. Most of them fell the first 1.5 week and they they fell without my natural lashes, so I feel like it was a glue issue. Also, during the lashing process, there were several times where product went into my eye and stinging it. Very painful and scary. The owners were very kind to listen to my feedback and gave me a discount for a fill with a senior lash artist, Ivy. This is by far the most comfortable and painless lash session I ever had. She was great, quick, and delivered the natural lashes I wanted. read more

So I was a little skeptical to come here. I had no choice. The place I've been going to the whole time finally didn't have a schedule that worked for me. I found this hidden gem on Yelp the last minute. They were able to fit me in. The waiting area was little small but it was very clean and inviting. Ivy did my lashes. You might have found this place because of lashes but my review is for BROWS. Yes Brows! Hanh is the GIRL BOSS you want when it comes to Brows. I first met her a few years back (before moving to N.Jackson) for 3-D Microblading. Talk about perfectionist and cleanliness! She took her time measuring, penciling, and making sure I was comfortable with the shape. She then moved on to numbing me and before I knew it I had these beautiful brows. Almost 3 years had passed and it was time for me to get them re-done (everyone fades differently and has their own skin type). This time I made an appt for both my mom and I. I had an old eyebrow tattoo that I did not realize was so visible until after I saw the picture that Hanh took prior to the Microblading - that was not a pretty site! I went to Hanh for microblading in March 2021 after she was recommended to my by a friend. I was nervous but I put my trust in Hanh. The finished product was a PERFECTLY shaped set of brows. My face was instantly transformed. I went back about 4-5 weeks later for a touchup and loved them even more after that. She told me I'd need to come back in about two years. I received SO MANY compliments on my brows. So many people said they were beautifully shaped, perfectly colored, totally symmetrical, etc. These brows were a gamechanger for me. I no longer had to spend time trying to shape and even out my brows. I felt like I was saving time every day. It was so worth it. When my brows hit the two year mark, I was waiting for my brows to lose their shape or start being blotchy. But they still looked good. Color was fading a bit but the shape and fullness remained perfect. I made an appointment anyway because I wanted to darken them a bit. When I went in this week, it had about 26 months since my initial appointment with Hanh. I spent an hour there and left with brows that look brand new again. Hanh is very very talented and extremely efficient. She works quickly and meticulously. She is also honest and charges a very fair price. This is the second time I came here to get my lashes done before a vacation. I came here a couple years ago and was unsatisfied of the length of the lashes - it look too natural for me. I got my lashes done from one of the junior lashes , she did a good job because it stayed on- I just didn't like the length of it. Today I came in and told ivy ( one of her good junior lash artist ) that I like it to look fake , long , and voluminous. I don't like it to look natural . She took her time on my lashes but when it was done - it wasn't up to my standards. It looked too natural to me. It was too late to redo it cause I was leaving to asia the next day.
