I saw the work via Yelp & IG so I decided to give them a try. They prefer you to text to communicate & they were quick to respond. I made an appt to remove my old lashes & start fresh. I booked with Emy. I came in 15 mins before my appt thinking I had to fill out some paperwork. No one was in the front so I rang the bell. Someone came out & told me Emy was on her way & just to wait. I then asked if I needed to fill out anything & she gave me a clipboard with a questionnaire. Basic questions about your lash & eye history. Filled it out. Emy arrived a few minutes before my appt time & she introduced herself. Super nice. I told her I like them full & showed her a wispy like set from their IG page. She spent 30 mins removing my old lashes & then an hr & half to do my set. After she was done, I looked in the mirror & I didn't think they were as full as I wanted but then also thought my next fill they'll start to look fuller. It wasn't the style I was use to but it didn't look bad. I felt things poking my eye the first day & later in the evening when I would blink hard, it felt like something was poking my waterline. I thought the lashes just needed time to settle but like I mentioned I've had lash extensions for the past 8 yrs & never have a felt something like this. After a few days I started to look at my lashes more carefully. I had lash extensions under my waterline & that was what was poking me. The glue was very thick to where when I brushed from the bottom up, I couldn't really get the brush to go through the bottom. Then when my lashes started to shed, I saw 2 fans on 1 eye lash. For volume it is 1 fan per lash & I started to realize why my lash line felt sore. Then I also had some lashes fall off with 2 of my real lashes, so the isolation wasn't there. I ended up popping off majority of the lashes myself & then getting the rest removed. I really wanted to like this place & make it work bc of how close it was to my house & overall customer service, but I think they need to go over more training with their employees. They do offer a free fix up to 3 days after your appt but with what I saw happening to my lashes, I figured to just let them fall off & try another place. See pics for examples. Just know lash extensions aren't supposed to hurt or your eye feel any type of discomfort. If they do, then something wasn't done right.

They used to wash your eyelashes before and after to remove any debris, and it was $20. Now, they've increased the price by $5 and don't even bother to wash your eyelashes before or after! Now all they do is dry-wipe your eyelashes with a Kleenex, which is just nasty because it doesn't fully wash off the chemical removers on your eyelash extensions. Recently, I booked an appointment for eyelash removal, and the technician didn't even bother to wash my eyelash extensions with water and soap. She just applied the remover, and after removing it, she dry-wiped my eyes. My eyes were stinging and burning because the technician didn't wash my eyelashes after the removal. All she did was wipe my eyes dry with a tissue. When I told her my eyes were burning, she just told me to go wash my eyes at the sink. The service prices have increased, but the quality has dramatically decreased. I had to pay someone $25 just for them to tell me to wash my own eyelashes -- that's crazy. I would say avoid this place because the quality of service doesn't match the price you're paying. I'm moving on to another place.

I inquired for a lash appointment after reading some prior reviews and ended up getting booked with Gianna. When we first met, I told her how I generally like my lash extensions -- she listened, added her own twist, and the rest is history. I have been seeing her religiously since -- and, I think we are going on 3 years. On average, I see her every two weeks but sometimes more if I have a special engagement or travel plans in the horizon. Now, on to her skills of this trade. Some people acquire a particular skill set through rigorous training and certifications and while that may be true in this case -- I would argue that she is simply gifted. I often tease her that she's a perfectionist because she doesn't cut corners and never settles for just the average. She focuses on ensuring that each lash extension really matches her client's lash line because as we all know, no pair of eyes are ever the same. I appreciate how she makes the style of the extension work to bring more of a dramatic and elevated look without making it overbearing to the face. And overall, I always remind her how sweet and kind of a person she is. She's down to earth and speaks from the heart when we talk about life, family, travel, relationships, etc. -- I'm so lucky to have found her. I had previously gone to a different eyelash technician who had me swearing off eyelashes due to her materials, and overall job that left my eyes in great pain. After debating for roughly a year, I came across Extreme Beauty , and with all the positive reviews, it was definitely the opportunity I had been seeking! For starters, I had contacted Lynn the night prior to my appointment regarding her openings. I had a tight schedule leading into the next week with my academics, and engagements booking me full! Even though she had few openings, she made room for me to drop by and get my first set of classic lashes with her for the very next day. Having my own concerns from the previous technician, she was gracious, gentle , and answered all of my questions regarding possibilities of the previous experience, along with reassuring me that if anything had cause an allergic reaction, she'd remove them for me as soon as I had been aware of my allergies. Coming in with all sorts of questions regarding after care, how to maintain them, what products to use makeup wise- she promptly answered everything while getting started, and ensured I was comfortable the entire way through. Beginning of the process she had asked me what look I was going for, we both agreed a less dramatic lash with noticeable curl and thickness was exactly what my eyes needed, and she knew which product would compliment my *otherwise* dull eyes. Her patience with me and how she talked me through the process made me feel incredibly comfortable and assured I had made an excellent choice with a technician. The previous technician had little contact and interaction with me, she just sent me away as soon as she could, but Lynn's passion for customer's safety and satisfaction was above expectation. My eyelashes are very short, but the way my eyes look feel so dreamy like a porcelain doll's! I've never felt more confident about my eyes until yesterday's visit. The curl is everything I wanted, length, and thickness, it's hard to see why anyone else wouldn't put their trust in her hands. I found this place via a co-worker's referral and I love it!…read more I have always has light brows which have gotten lighter as I age. I have seen people who got micro blading done but never wanted to try it because it is so dark for the first few months. Finally, after spending 10 minutes every day trying to fill my brows and always having them be uneven etc, I decided to check this place out. The website is very detailed, with lots of pictures and information. I still was not able to decide for myself which procedure is right for me so I called My. My does not talk on the phone:) but is a very responsive and detailed texter. I am very impressed by her texting skills. Based on a picture of my eyebrows, she recommended microshading and the reasons for it. I made my booking online and paid the $100 deposit. For my process it would be $545 total + $100 for any follow up - a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. On the day of the appointment, she puts numbing cream on the brows and lets it sit for 20 minutes. She then asks questions about what I want, the shape, size etc. I wanted dark, thick brows. She cautioned against that and advised that I start with a slightly smaller shape because she could always add on but if I hated the shape and size, she could not take it off. She spent some time drawing the shape out and made slight adjustments based on my feedback. I was extremely nervous and told her so and that made her nervous but she was a professional throughout. I was nervous about the pain but it was amazingly painless. Each appt. is for an hour and a half but my brows were not taking color and she took another 1/2 hour but I was very pleased with the result! I had defined, beautiful brows. After, My provided detailed instructions on after care and whether to come back or not. I did start losing color in the timeline she mentioned and some color came back but I went back because they were too light - My remembered everything I had initially asked for without me reminding her and made my brows darker and thicker. After the requisite 4 weeks, I did lose some color but something I can live with. This is a life changer. My did mention that as I kept coming back, my skin would get used to taking color and they would get much darker each time. My left brow is slightly lighter than the right but nothing very obvious. The second time around, my brows also itched a lot and peeled. That did not happen the first time. They are also very dry. The only thing I didn't like about the whole process is that I could not work out for 7 days after the procedure. I have worked out every day for the past 30 years and it was tough but well worth it!! The office is easy to find, parking on the street and inside, My has soda, water and snacks and both times that I was there, I was the only customer - she can only focus on one at a time so that makes sense. Very professional looking equipment and clean. While filling out the paperwork, I indicated that I didn't want her to use my pictures on social media and she was happy to accommodate. Literally, no pain with lots of gain. Micro & nano blading service came out quite nice! Additionally, I had lash liner done as well... again zero pain after numbing cream. It popped when I first saw them! When I came back for my touch up, I felt that in my photos, the tail end of my brows were showing up as too light which .ade my brow look uneven. So, I asked for a fuller fill and sharp ends. MP filled up my brows and now I wake up with perfect brows everyday. For my lash liner, unfortunately, not a single drop of ink stayed on with the first sess. MP redid them by doubling up on the inkage and didn't chage for the retouch appointment. Happy to report that this time, they stayed on. But my eyes did come out feeling sore and dry afterwards... no worries, after a week, my eyes were normal again. NOTES: Lots of free parking. I found Mai and basically got my eyebrows completely redone this fall. They're thicker now (but not TOO thick!) and the shape looks amazing. It's only been three months so it's hard to say how long it'll last for, but it all depends on your aftercare, skin condition, how often you sweat, etc anyway. I find that I need to get touched up every year since my skin is a little more oily and I sweat more. Importantly, Mai is super easy to talk to, really sweet, and takes COVID seriously.

The booking process was so easy because you can do it online. Her system sends you confirmation emails and reminder emails for your initial and touch up appointments! After both of your appointments, she also sends you aftercare instructions :) My also conveniently booked my touch up appointment right when I got into the studio - she is so on top of everything. BACKSTORY: Two years ago I had a different friend who just finished a class for microblading. I was the second person she had ever done the microblading process on, but honestly I was just glad that I finally had eyebrows. Fast forward to the day I found My... my brows were faded and uneven, and needed HELP. I was constantly checking her page to see when her books would open, and I ended up setting an alarm at work to take a break just so I could book my appointment! LOCATION: The location is a very neat and tidy office in San Jose which she shares with her sister who does scalp tattoos! There is even a private parking lot just for MicroHair Studios clients, which was really convenient. I didn't realize that at first and parked on the street, but that was just as easy because it is near a residential street. PRICE: Her info is on her website, the price includes the complimentary touch up, and it is more than worth it!!! Cash and Venmo are accepted. RESULTS: My brows have never looked better. She fixed the shape, lifted the tail ends, made them even, and got the color PERFECT. Need I say more? My previous tattoo just barely shows at the tail ends since they were brought down too far initially, but the shape that My perfected for me exceeds all my expectations so much so that I don't even care that the old tattoo shows a bit! The old tattoo will fade soon anyway, plus I can cover it up with concealer for the time being lol. OVERALL: My is one of the most wonderful, friendly, and talented girls I have met to this day. She was so warm and welcoming, and talking to her made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. Her customer service is absolutely incredible and you can tell she really enjoys and cares about what she does! P.S. Did you know she even microbladed her own beautiful brows?
