We have been waiting for this dumpling restaurant to open ever since we saw their sign on the building. They finally have their soft opening and so we decided to check them out. We arrived on a Friday night for dinner recently. The Pan- Asian restaurant is located in the nice Cochrane Commons plaza off Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. The restaurant is mid sized with nice modern decor. There are plenty of tables and booths inside for dining. The kitchen is visible and bustling. There is a self serve tablet on every table to order. The vibe is family friendly and welcoming. We ordered a cucumber salad, pork lumpia, wontons in chili oil, egg fried rice, bbq pork bun, pork xiao long bao, Sprite, and Coke Zero. Everything was delicious and high quality. The handmade pork xiao long bao was fresh and flavorful. Their homemade made garlic soy sauce went very well with the dumplings. Pork lumpia was nice and crispy. Wontons in chili oil and egg fried rice were my favorite dishes. The wontons were scrumptious and the flavors were enhanced with the chili oil. Egg fried rice was pillowy and fluffy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Baolicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was lively and buzzing which was nice to see. The soft opening email discount was appreciated and a nice touch. Morgan Hill has needed a soup dumplings and pork buns type of restaurant. Welcome to Morgan Hill Baolicious! We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu.

There's been a recent "discovery" of Baos. By recent I mean less than 10 years ago in the bay area but I've known about it all my life since my dad was from Shanghai. Shanghai is where the Chinese donuts, XLBs, and dough-based goodies originated from. When Baolicious came to Morgan Hill we were excited because we are finally getting something a little ethnic amongst the burger, pizza, and fast food joints in this area. During this first week of operation, you can see so many people flock to this place and inundating this business ready to try something new and good. Not everything is available during this first week of operation and the staff has been overwhelmed with the success. If you dine in like we did, you may not get the service you expect. This is why everything is 50% off during the soft opening week. We were fortunate to try to Beef Roll early in the week and then noticed it was removed towards the end of the week. The 4pc and 8 pc option for XLB has been simplified to 6pcs. Even though the ramen is on the soft opening menu it's not available. The food is great but right now things are quite hectic. We arrived one day at 5pm and food orders to go had a 90 min wait time. Later on when I came in right at the 4pm opening, I had to wait 30 mins to order and the food still took 40 mins. Shortly after the opening line shortened they stopped taking orders for the rest of the night altogether because it was too overwhelming and the staff knew they wouldn't be able to accommodate the to-go orders and the dine-in patrons. If you were one of the very few people that called to order then you are extremely lucky. We will definitely come back but this week has been very rough with the wait, the mix-ups with the food orders, and the limited menu options. Hopefully when things die down a bit they will have time to offer chopped ginger to properly enjoy your XLBs and warm tea to enjoy the full experience.

We've been waiting for Baolicious to open, and the day has finally arrived! We stopped by on the second day of their soft opening, and let me tell you--it was absolutely worth the wait! We're huge foodies and LOVE dumplings, so I'm beyond happy that Morgan Hill finally has a dumpling spot in town. It's so nice to have something new and different! We ordered a little bit of everything so we could try as much as possible, and everything was AMAZING! The space is clean and welcoming, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and doing such a great job, especially considering they just opened. We had such a great experience and already can't wait to come back and bring the whole family. So happy to have Baolicious in Morgan Hill!

I tried a couple of items to go, the cucumber salad and the BBQ pork buns. Both items were pretty good. The BBQ pork buns are pretty small but you do get three of them. Service was pretty fast, my food was done prior to the 35 minute wait time I was told. The inside looked small and very busy. I'll have to try some other items the next time I visit.

We have been waiting for this place to open in MH. Our city needs a place like this! For a soft opening, we expected a long wait. You use the QR code to register and get on the waitlist. Went to local stores around like Target & Bath&Bodyworks to get errands done while waiting to get seated. Perfect timing. It was less than 30 minutes both days we went this week. And totally worth the wait. We took advantage of the soft opening discount so we could try all the delicious dishes. The service was great. The waiters checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters twice. The ambiance was very inviting. Pork lumpia was delicious with the sweet chili sauce. Egg fried rice was our son's favorite. He almost finished it. Very tasty flavors. Spicy chili wontons was a family favorite. Totally recommend it. Not too spicy and very flavorful. They had a sweet soy sauce that you can request and it tasted so good as a dipping sauce with all the food. Especially the pork bun. Our son loved it. On our second visit our son got the Tonkatsu Ramen and it was so good. Cucumber salad also a good recommend as it was so good to compliment your dinner dishes. We also tried the dimsum options and it was all good

Very excited to try the newest restaurant in town. The service was very quick for a place that was fully packed. I enjoyed each item we tried yesterday. Bbq pork buns were probably my favorite item. I can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu.

We have gone for 4 consecutive afternoons to enjoy the half off specials for the soft opening. Someone gave a low rating because of how long it took to get seated but I don't think that's fair. The crowds are due to the opening and specials. That said, we were seated immediately on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday. Wednesday we had a wait, but that had NOTHING to do with the restaurant. It's demand. Simple. Service is OUTSTANDING. Several employees checked in on us, and we got to know them. Really nice people. The owner spent a few minutes too. We made it a point to try different options to get a good sense of what we will like and not like. Some of our favorites were the chili wontons, egg fried rice, shrimp chow mein. This is the experience I want. We will be regulars now.

Ugghhh!!! These 1 and 2 star reviews on here for service is silly. You can't give people anything nice. This is a soft opening which means they aren't even technically open yet. On top of that they're running a crazy promotion so everyone from MH and Gilroy is showing up. If you don't have the stomach for a soft opening or have never been to one before, you should wait until they officially open. Heads Up: I came on Wednesday and they stopped taking walk up orders and seating guests and 6pm because they were so slammed to plan your visit accordingly. This should also show you how silly some of these folks are that are complaining about the service. Also check your order before you leave and make sure it's all there and it's right, this is part of the soft opening experience. That said, I'm giving this place 5 stars. Not because the service was amazing (it's not yet) but I'm judging the soft opening on the food and what it has the potential to become. They will fix the service part, that's easy. These folks have just started to deal with volume orders, hence the reason why it's only a soft opening. Once they figure themselves out they will be fine. That said because of the promo and excitement around this place, you should expect to wait 30 - 60 minutes for your takeout order (not so fun). The takeout food also comes out ready at different times so some stuff is just sitting there while the rest is being cooked (they'll fix this as they open as well). On the food, I'm quite impressed by the quality of the offering. Here's what we ordered - Orange Chicken (10/10) - Egg Fried Rice (10/10) - Vegetable Chow Mein add Shrimp (8.5/10, the noodles were cooked just a little too long, they'll fix this) - Crab Rangoon (8/10) - Wontons in Chili Oil (9/10) - Pork & Shrimp Shao Mai Dumplings (8.5/10) - Vegetable Dumpling (7/10) To the employees working there, I saw how hard you all were working. Keep it up, it'll get easier. Don't take the negative service comments personal, people get frustrated, they may not know what a soft opening is, and you all will figure it out. Thank you for trying to do everything you could to cater to everyone's requests. And thank you for bringing another establishment to the city that I can come visit. To the owner. Thanks for a new establishment and I appreciate your focus on quality food. It won't go unnoticed by your patrons.

    Cucumber salad

Went today during soft opening and arrived at opening (4pm). After we all got seated, there was alot of people who showed up for to go orders. Staff was very nice and attentive. There was a wait for each food item which led us to ask for the last 2 to go. My favorite was the fried rice, pork soup dumplings and wontons in chili oil. I was looking forward to the pan fried beef roll that we ordered but were told after we paid and were waiting for it to come out that it was sold out. First time coming to a soft opening and while I'm not upset, I think having a full menu and offering a promotion made things challenging. I look forward to future meals here.

My family and I arrived around 8:30 PM and were seated immediately. The menu was interesting, though I was a bit disappointed there was no dedicated kids menu. When we asked our waiter, he mentioned they did have two kid-friendly options available: a cheese quesadilla and chicken & rice. We ordered both of those, along with calamari from the starters and a Thai chicken rice dish. Unfortunately, none of it landed well for us. The cheese quesadilla came with nothing but melted cheese between the tortilla no sides, no sauce. The chicken from the kids menu needed salt badly, and the sauce that came with it wasn't to our liking either. The calamari dish was especially disappointing -- just 5 strips for $15, which felt like a rip-off, and the sauce was watery and not good. The chicken bowl came with plantains, chicken, beans, and rice, but the beans caught us off guard, they didn't mention this in the menu. Overall, we didn't enjoy any of the dishes, and the food-to-price ratio felt way off.
