I…read moreworked with Rodney at Prospect Mortgage only because the seller of the home I was buying required a 203k loan on the property. My lender, my financial institute and several other lenders didn't want to deal with the hassle. I did some research and found Rodney/Prospect and I'm so glad I did. For those of you who are not familiar with a 203k loan, there are many requirements, deadlines, etc. that you don't encounter with a conventional loan. Rodney was always patient, knowledgeable and very personable throughout the process. So much so that I wouldn't consider another lender if I'm ever back in the market for a home loan unless someone else could save me a bundle. After all the dire warnings of a 203k loan by many lenders, Rodney and his team made it a simple process and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Due to Rodney and his team's diligence, I was able to enjoy the home buying process instead of being stressed with all the red tape. He obviously makes loads of money and does not need repeat or referral business. After his all caps, highlighted in red and twice increased font size reply to my email requesting clarity - I chose to take my business elsewhere. After all, there are many loan officers in Atlanta who appreciate their clients or at least can pretend they do. Customer Care: Please review the 4 emails previously sent between loan officer Rodney Mason and myself. As you can see, I ask for a withdraw on several occasions with no response. After I inquired on current % rate(s) I was then sent numerous emails from two employees demanding I pay the loan/appraisal fee ($825.00) prior to 10 day due diligence period ending and or the contract to go "binding". I let both loan officers know that the home inspection had not been completed and the HUD inspector had not been out either. He lied and mis-represented, explaining I needed to pay prior immediately prior to the loan going to underwriting. I did so with hesitation, and expressed so via email. This loan has been requested to be withdrawn in writing, via txt, and by phone days ago. This loan should not still be active in your system nor should Guaranteed Rate still be holding $825.00 for an appraisal that was never ordered for a contract that never went binding. Still waiting a response.
