We worked with Rodney Shaffer as our loan officer for buying our first home, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Rodney was extremely friendly, approachable, and always available for our questions. He was very communicative through text, email, and phone calls, and he even made himself available after our work hours, which we really appreciated. As first-time buyers, we had a lot to learn, and Rodney made sure we fully understood every detail of our mortgage, rates, and options. He even caught an overpriced home insurance quote and helped us save thousands of dollars by recommending other companies to check. His support was always clear, detailed, and easy to follow. Rodney also worked seamlessly with our realtor, quickly preparing offers and double-checking all of our deliverables to ensure the mortgage approval process went smoothly. Even after closing, Rodney continues to check in and provides an informative monthly newsletter that we genuinely enjoy reading. We are very thankful for Rodney's hard work, guidance, and dedication throughout the entire process. We highly recommend Rodney to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive loan officer. read more

The intention of this communication is: On behalf of myself Larry Pearson and my soon to be wife Jennifer Dehate (by the way the greatest woman in the world) is to say to anyone listening, anyone reading, anyone seeing the cool smoke signals, that Clay Jefferies is one of the most reliable people that I have had the pleasure of working with. Jenn and I purchased our first home together as a team and Clay walked us through what could have been a crazy and disempowering process to a process that was clear, clean and with integrity. I am not if the process could have been any better and anymore empowering. I must give credit to where credit is due, Jenn, Tracy & Steve (our Relators and friends), Clay and God... If anyone reading this, is in question that buying a house could be an empowering process and a growing process as Jenn and I grew closer during this process, it can be with the right team. Clay is and will always be a critical part of our/your team. Thank you Dunwoody Mortage Services. No, I did not get a commission for saying what I said, saying it simply has integrity!!! Thank you on behalf of Larry and Jenn!!! read more

Clay Jeffreys is the best in the business!! He is personable, patient, efficient and made our home buying experience almost stress free. :-) My sister and I purchased an investment property a few months ago and after a difficult experience with another lending company, Clay was a miracle worker. He stopped at nothing to work hard and find ways to get us to the finish line. By the time the process was over it felt like he was family. He kept us informed along the way, stayed in touch constantly, went above and beyond to answer our calls and many questions and was attentive to all the details. I am SO grateful for his hard work and tireless effort in walking us through a somewhat scary process (right to the day of signing) and making a dream come true for us to own our very first investment home. Clay is extremely professional, and committed to serving his clients with the highest level of excellence. Thank you Clay!! You are the best in the business. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Clay Jeffreys and his team at Dunwoody Mortgage Services. read more

In June 2023, we closed on our new home in the CSRA. This house is the second house we've purchased with help from Clay Jeffreys and the Dunwoody Mortgage Services team. When we purchased our first home several years ago in the Stone Mountain area, we couldn't have done it without Clay's help. He walked us step-by-step through the whole process and helped us obtain a loan when we thought it was impossible. With this second home, Clay and his team delivered again. This time around Clay still guided us through the process. On top of his help, hard work, and communication, however, he also took time to answer my questions about the market and loans. Our realtor was also impressed with Clay's work for us. Working with Clay and his team is a great gift, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to obtain a mortgage loan in Georgia. read more

We worked with Rodney for our mortgage services and we could not have had a better experience! He was recommended by some close friends of ours who also used him when they purchased their home and we now understand why their praise for him was so high. This was our first time buying a home and Rodney and his team made the process so seamless and stress free and we are so grateful for such a positive experience. He explained each step of the process with great detail and patience and was able to lock us into the best rate possible for our mortgage. He is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to answer any questions and assist you along the way. We truly could not recommend Rodney and his team more and we can't wait to use Dunwoody again when we buy a home again in the future! read more

Rodney Shaffer was phenomenal to work with. As a first-time home buyer, the process was daunting, and it was hard to piece together all of the information needed to make a home buy successful. I'd called around and looked up as much information as I could, but once I was recommended Rodney, everything became much more streamlined. He was always available to answer my questions, helped me keep track of deadlines, and attended the closing to make sure the process went smoothly from start to finish. Not only did Rodney have the best rates, he also had the best service. I cannot recommend working with him enough. read more

Rodney was fantastic! He was patient and took the time to answer all my questions without frustration. When we first started working together he said that I was his client so he would make himself available and assist throughout the entire process. he realistically set expectations for the loan and then over delivered. I was happy that we got to meet him at closing because we spoke multiple times a week for over a month without meeting in person. highly recommend Rodney to anyone looking for a thorough, seamless and informed loan buying process. Thanks Rodney!! read more

Rodney is just incredible. He was so attentive, prompt, and informative. Truly any question we had during the process, he was ready to answer. Our home buying experience was, dare I say, easy in large part due to Rodney. On top of that, after we were comfortably in our home, he still answered questions we had even if they didn't relate to our loan at all. Never thought I'd be singing so many praises to a loan officer, but Rodney deserves it. Appreciate the hard work that Rodney and the team did and still do for us. read more

I cannot compliment Dunwoody Mortgages, specifically Clay Jeffreys, enough. He was very quick to respond to any question and went above and beyond to make sure I got the house I wanted. This included quickly drafting an approval letter and speaking on my behalf to the seller. The time to closing shortened significantly, but Clay made sure I had everything I needed in order to close on time. I hope to not buy another house for quite awhile, but if I do I know I will be working with Dunwoody Mortgage again! read more

Working with Rodney has been one of the most pleasant experiences! He went above and beyond to make sure that the closing of my new house went smoothly (just hours after I sold my other home). Things fell apart days before closing and he took care of everything. He was the calm in the storm of buying a home. The thing that sticks out the most though was his attendance at the closing. Having him there was an added bonus to ensuring that it went smoothly. read more
