I requested replacement of a bathroom mirror that had a 6 inch crack coming up from the base of the mirror. The mirror was 48 x 42 and poor quality, plus an ugly stain at the base from the original installation. Banks Glass sent a 2 person crew, Cody & Liam to measure. They explained the removal process that would be used. Very thorough explanation. The replacement mirror had to be ordered and, upon arrival, was inspected and an install date was set up. The installers, Jake and Pete, arrived at 8:00 a.m. and began the task of removing the old mirror. A bit of a job removing the old mirror as it split where the long crack had appeared, thus ending up coming off in large pieces. Never the less, they worked efficiently and professionally and had the new mirror up and installed beautifully. They cleaned everything, vacuuming thoroughly for any pieces of old mirror that may have fallen. Cleaned the new mirror thoroughly. I highly recommend Banks Glass for any glass installation/ replacement. Very professional, excellent staff and installers, well trained and experienced. After the epic winter storms of 2022-2023, we realized that we had windows that had lost their integrity.  We needed to employ a glass company that could replace the damaged windows.  A friend of ours recommended Banks Glass of Jamestown.  Speaking with other friends, they also advised that they had heard good things about Banks Glass. We made an appointment for Banks Glass to measure the windows that needed to be replaced.  We were impressed with Casey and Cody when they arrived to preform the measurement. After meeting them, we were confident that employing Banks Glass was a good decision. We replaced 6 windows in our home and 9 windows in our rental unit, and had a wonderful experience. Banks Glass hooked me up. They replaced two dual paned windows with blown seals and did a full replacement of two sliding glass doors at my Cold Springs vacation cabin. What I liked: They were always responsive, and they took pride in their work. Great customer service on the phone. Tidy work space after. Each time they came I was not there, but I knew I could count on them to do good work while I was away. Also, I really wanted to keep the black aluminum look, and they were the only ones that could do black aluminum. (I don't like plastic/vinyl window frames. They warp, don't handle extreme elements, and the color fades over time.) What I didn't like: The price. My jaw dropped at the price to replace all our seal-blown dual pane windows. I thought it was a typo. But I won't dock a star; literally nobody else around could beat their prices. I guess that's the cost of business up here. In fact, they get plenty of business with their prices. I guess I need to get with the program or learn to install my own windows. The limited availability. Again, not their fault here. Covid caused some real issues with getting sliding glass doors. I had to wait 3-4 months. And, to their credit, once the doors arrived, they put me on a stand-by list for the first opening when they would be in between more major jobs. Similarly, it took another 3-4 months for the dumb sliding screen doors to arrive. But they nicely held off on billing the full cost until the work got done. I would definitely use Banks Glass again for small jobs. However, I can't afford their prices to replace all my blown windows. I'll either replace them one by one as I can afford it, or teach myself, or save up a lot of money. read more

I am writing this review to share my experience with Bank's Glass. I hired them to fix my cascading sliding glass doors. Both of them were extremely hard to open and close. They initially sent out a couple of guys to assess the project and they planned to fix it if they could be done with a quick adjustment. Unfortunately, the doors was not a quick fix and it needed another evaluation for one of their more experienced installers (Clayton). Another appointment was made and Clayton came by and he explained what was the problem. I received a quote and my project was put on the schedule. I was told they were real busy and my job would be 3-4 weeks out. Early this week, I was called and they told me there was an opening on Friday. I took the appointment and they came by today to fix the sliding doors. They were prompt, friendly, and went right to work. I appreciated that they took the time to protect the surroundings so the dust and any particles would be contained. Clayton and his crew did a great job, he directed his team and he knew exactly what to do. The doors now are working perfectly and you can open them with minimal effort and they are smooth. Banks did our new shower glass and we love it! The estimate team and install team were both outstanding!

It took 3 calls over 6 weeks to get an estimator out to my house which is only 15 minutes from them .He told me to go in the next day to get the quote and pick out windows. At the front of their store the woman told me he was misinformed that it takes 5 days to get a quote. Erin very nice sales person helped me pick out windows . I realized I needed sliding doors also which now needed to be measured by an estimator. When i called back after the weekend Nikki Heimstra whom had sent the quote told me it was not her job to do estimating. I really did not know what i was supposed to do at that point. After being switched around i ended up talking to the woman at the front who had an attitude when i asked to speak to the estimator. I was told the estimator only goes to cities in some sort of order and they cover such a wide area its impossible to say when an estimator would be available probably weeks from now. I suggested maybe they need to hire more people they seemed understaffed and that is when they went ballistic .Nikki told me her father could talk to me and so I switched to someone named Mark who laughed when i suggested he listen to my concerns about how their customer service needs some work. Even if they do good work . Even if they are low cost. They have an attitude which is not friendly. i would give no stars if it was available. read more

Asked for a simply screen replacement, they quoted me $70-$100 for the screen to be replaced. A brand new complete sliding screen door was $90 at our local Lowes store.
