This was our second time to Bangkok Thai and while prices have definitely increased over the past year, the quality is still amazing. The ambiance was cozy and perfect for a chilly spring day. Our server was very friendly, but because there were a few tables and just one server, service was a bit slow. Once we ordered our food it arrived quickly, however. Last year, I ordered the Pad Prik King with beef, which my fiance tried and liked it so much that he insisted we come back during our next trip to Spokane. He ordered the same dish, however this year I opted for the Pad Prik King, but with tofu as I'm recently vegetarian. I've had amazing tofu and horrible tofu, so I didn't know what to expect. Thankfully their tofu was perfection! Crispy on the outside and full of the flavorful sauce from the dish. My fiance even liked it and he isn't a tofu fan. Both of our Pad Prik King were delicious, with an abundance of delish vegetables and an insanely flavorful sauce. We opted for a 4 spice level and while I easily could have went with a 5, my fiance felt it was on the higher end of spicy. My tolerance to spice is much higher than his, however. I'm still annoyed I have yet to come close to replicating this sauce at home lol! This spot is definitely one of my Spokane favorites and rivals the amazing Thai restaurants we have in Vegas, which says a lot. read more

The food was very good!! Great price for the lunch special , and very nice environment! We ordered 2 lunch specials, one spicy level being 4 and one being 5. They did not give us any spice at all. I was very disappointed by this, we didn't mention it because we had to leave but this really ruined my experience. I get it's Spokane and the white are babies but I wish they at least questioned further if they felt I couldn't handle it, and putting none at all was disrespectful. The food was good tho. read more

Took my boys here for the first time to get our favorite pad Thai. The boys got beef pad Thai two-star and a three-star. I got a wider noodle dish It was pretty tasty with the three star. I'd have to say that the spice level was a little higher than I was expecting for a three-star. All of us felt a little bit more burn than normal. My suggestion would be to order a star lower than you're used to. The menu look pretty good. Prices are a little higher than I'm used to but that could be due to inflation for all I know. You was definitely worth the visit but I'm not sure if I'll come back or not as I have many more restaurants to try out since our move here. I ate at Bangkok Thai in Spokane Valley this evening and it was wonderful. I found this restaurant rated highly online and those ratings were accurate. The food was fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. I had Pad Pak, a stir fry with lots of vegetables (carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, celery and more) and tofu. Yum! The sauce was light and served the vegetables and tofu instead of drowning them like some places would do. I went with two stars but will definitely bump this up the next time I'm there. I went at 5 and I was the only person dining at that hour, but there was a steady stream of people picking up take-out orders. That should tell you everything you need to know about how popular this place is! The large casting of temple carvings on the wall provides great atmosphere. Took 80 minutes to get two crab fried rice orders (they are priced at $34) for lunch. Rice came out, barely included any crab; and no crab claws as advertised. Service was nonexistent (drinks sat empty the entire time). Luckily I was in good company and we laughed it off, but man oh man, no one in the restaurant seemed happy and a lot of people left most of their meals on the table. So the food is good in some aspects but then they drop the ball on other things too. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew was delicious and great fresh quality, I think the recent good reviews of them are consistent so far. The Panang was delicious but lacking meat in my opinion but not a big surprise there roughly 3-4 oz of thinly sliced beef at the 18 dollar price tag. The Massamun was good up until you get a crunchy barely cooked potato which ruined the experience. Followed by the sticky sweet rice and fresh mango which was too fresh that it was crunchy and hard to eat. Its normally served more ripe so it can be eaten easier with the rice. Im surprised you are not using mango that you ripened naturally and then froze it for use if you cant keep up with always having ripe mangos on hand. Will I return? Maybe like months from now, but I wont order the same items. Flavors are good but perhaps you were rushing to get things done. Attention to small details and quality is always important. read more

Really disappointed about this place. I ordered pad see sew last time and this time pad thai.. both times i was NOT impressed. Noodles were really dried and there were not enough sauce.. i ordered 5 star spicy and it wasn't mixed very well so there are some part where red pepper chunks were just sitting on the bottom and other part there was pretty much nothing. I would've said Bangkok Thai was one of the best Thai restaurants last year as well last year. But something has changed. It's not as good as before. My wife says that they are preparing the chicken before hand now and not stir frying it with the oils and veggies like they used to. So the chicken tastes bland now. I wish they'd go back to their old ways and old flavors. Maybe the owner / manager will see this review and make some changes. This was the Valley location. The curry I ordered looked like soup...I thought it was the soup I ordered until I realized that was the other item. The curry was so watery I couldn't even see it when I put it on my rice...it went straight into a pool at the bottom of my plate. The eggplant was also undercooked. The Tom Kha soup tasted like pure coconut milk and I had to add my own lemongrass. Even so, it was the worst Tom Kha I've ever experienced. This place is pretty good. I chose the Pad thai and it was so flavorful! Pad thai is usually my go-to when trying out a thai restaurant then I will stray around the menu for the next order. My boyfriend grabbed some pad gra pow which was also phenomenal! I typically don't like mushrooms but this was so yummy! The sauce was perfect on top of rice and the rice was moist, warm, and fluffy. We ordered take out and they forgot two parts of our order so check your bag to make sure everything is there! They did refund us for the missing food and drink. My sister ended up sharing with me because her pad se ew didn't arrive but the portion was so big so it was fine and she enjoyed the pad thai as well (she typically doesn't like pad thai). When you first pull into the parking lot of this restaurant you notice that the front is not the most desirable. The inside of the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise though, the restaurant was very clean. You could tell that the owners took pride in their place. I also liked the way the hand towels were folded onto the plates. The attention to detail made me very anxious to see if the level of care would transfer to their food. I ordered green tea and pad see ew. When asked what level of spice I wanted I opted to get none, this could've been why I had a lack of flavor with my meal. The green tea was brought over in a little tea pot and a cup to pour. I was also a little disappointed that the tea wasn't a loose leaf but instead tea bags. We waited for our food for about 10 minutes before we were served. The food had a nice smell but the pieces of beef in the dish were large and extremely chewy making it hard to eat the dish. The flavor wasn't bad, but it wasn't very flavorful either. I would come back here to try some more dishes, and maybe have an easier to eat meal. I don't know if something went wrong or it was a new cook but when we got our food something smelt bad I mean bad like poop and we kept sniffing and when my partner went to take a bite of his food he dropped his spoon and started gagging.
