Well it's our first time in Cape Cod so we relied solely on these Yelp reviews! Thanks so much everyone, this place is a fabulous find. Tom Yum Goong (4/5) - a bit too salty, but it was also really sour which is a great thing. Tom Kha Gai (4/5) - pretty good! The chicken was dry, but it hit the spot. Larb Gai (3.5/5) - alright; I feel like this is a total hit or miss depending on your love for coriander and other herbs. Duck Choo Chee (4.5/5) - totally fantastic! Tasted delicious, was well seasoned, and the duck was super succulent. Whole Basil Fish (5/5) - AMAZING! So, so, so good. Hands down the best dish of the night--crispy outside, tender inside, and that sauce is to die for. Pad Kee Mao (3.5/5) - Pretty good and damn spicy! Wish there were less veg and more noodles, but flavour wise it's spot on. The Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream was an awesome way to end the meal. We also had two Thai iced teas but they were nothing special. Service wise, honestly, we did run into a couple problems. We made a reservation for 7:30 and our tables were 15 minutes late, the place is pretty cramped, parking in the back is suboptimal, we had to ask several times for water refills, and there was an issue with the machine when paying. HOWEVER, they were friendly and kind, the small space is actually quite cozy, you can park across the street by the staples, and you can always bring cash for ease of payment! Point is, come here! We tried this because of all the rave reviews. We got take out pad Thai, lemongrass shrimp (they gave us chicken instead) and spicy crispy green beans with some dumplings and crab rangoons. We ended up with all chicken dishes and the chicken in each was the same flavorless, overcooked white meat chicken. It was obviously precooked and added to the individual dish at the end of cooking as it did not take on any of the flavor of the individual sauces. All of the sauces were watery, and virtually flavorless. The "spicy" green beans...nope...not spicy. The dumplings and crab Rangoons seemed like something I could buy out of the frozen section at a Thai market and have cooked at home. Very disappointing because we usually LOVE Thai food and the complexity of the flavors that we usually get when we eat in or take out. read more

Love their fried chicken with chili sauce, get it everytime we come to cape cod. Had their green curry with scallops a little spicy and the broccoli medley with tofu. Sooo good. Oh, yesterday... had the pad woon sen which is a clear rice noodle with shrimp and for dessert the sticky rice with coconut ice cream. Amazing!!! read more

We recently spent our vacation down at Cape Cod Hyannis area. We didn't know where to go for dinner and we tried the Bangkok kitchen because of the great reviews. Upon arrival, It was a very small restaurant. I could tell it was a Family restaurant from the minute I walked in. They took my order and preparing it very quickly. Stopped for the first time today. Was a bit worried because of the size but as many other reviews said, it's terrific. The soup starter that they bring to the table was okay. Then we had Thai basil with chicken which was perfectly spicy and Pad See You which was fresh and tasty. Very quick and friendly service. read more

Best Thai in Hyannis and better than Thai restaurants in most places I have been. The sauces are so delicious, flavorful and light, not filled with thickeners. Everything is so fresh! Got takeout here and they were very fast at making my drunken noodles (pad kee mao I believe), but it was quite spicy even though I had requested mild, there were a lot of onions (probably the same amount as noodles!) and I like onion but it seemed unbalanced, and the sauce, while having a kick, also didn't feel like much of a sauce, and was rather bland. read more

Every effing thing about living on Cape Cod in February makes me want to pave myself under the road, but this is a great restaurant. The basil is fresh, the prices are fine, and the tiny dining room provides an illusory but therapeutic experience that -- briefly, too briefly -- counters the cold reality of living on a forsaken geographical mistake. I have cried bitter tears into a few really tasty dishes here this winter. My favorite plate is definitely the lemongrass vegetables, which is beautiful and delicious. I wish the tofu could speak so I wouldn't have to eat alone. read more

Excellent! That is all there is to say. The breath of flavors and textures coming out of the small kitchen are amazing. The food presentations are colorful and eye catching. We ordered dumplings and tom ka gai, (chicken coconut soup) as starters. The honey-soy dipping sauce that accompanies the dumplings is delicious, the dumplings were crisp and the stuffing moist and tasty. Dinner entrees did not disappoint, duck choo chee, tofu green curry (great spice, will not blow your head off, but it does have a kick) and pineapple fried rice with shrimp. If you have never tried this rice, give it a chance, a great mix of savory and sweet done here with cashews instead of peanuts. Authentic and delicious. The restaurant is a tiny little house...so cute and cozy. 20 seats in total and busy during lunch! Soups and noodle dishes are true Thai comfort food. Bangkok Kitchen was interesting... a very small restaurant.. I ordered the Pad Thai and the egg rolls. The egg rolls were freshly made and tasted good. the oil they used was clean and didn't have a lot of bad taste to it. I liked the dipping sauce that they came with. Pad Thai was dry and flavorless it was a real shame... I'm not certain if this is a constant problem here or not as it was my first time but I look forward to trying it a second time to give it another shot so look for an updated review once I've been able to do that! read more

Diamond in the rough. Some of the best Thai food I've had in a while. The service was excellent and orders came out quickly. I was surprised when our waitress told me that there was only one level of spice for the tofu green curry I had. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was the perfect level of spice for my heat seeking palate. Hot, but mild enough for me to enjoy every bite and taste the flavors of the vegetables. Perfect portions for both my meal and my partner's. She had a shrimp dish that looked beautiful. We left with filled bellies and happy hearts. I can't say enough about this place. It's one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to, if not THE best. My friend and I went to this little hole-in-the-wall not expecting much. Both of us love spicy food but a lot of Thai is geared to Americans taste, which is to say, bland. We go in and my friend asks for her dish, which is a Basil veggie dish (she's vegan) and gives her standard, masochistic "Make it hot. I mean try to kill me, please." request. The lady gets very excited and takes the rest of our orders. I get tom yum and some tofu triangles. I ask also that to tom yum be hot, as I like my soup with a kick. She rushes off to the kitchen and returns with my piping hot soup. I take one taste, and my eyes water up, my nose starts running, and I'm in mouth-gasm heaven. My friend's order arrives and the lady cautions her, "This very spicy. I'm Thai and even I can't take this." My friend takes one bite and starts crying from the heat. The cook looks on in satisfaction (yes, the kitchen is right there next to the all of four tables in this establishment. It's a small place!). The tofu triangles were also delicious and crunchy, but what we were impressed with was the spice. Did I mention both my friend and I had bad colds at the time and were having trouble tasting anything? This place cleaned us out like nobody's business. All I can say is, if you are in Hyannis or live even an hour away, this place is completely worth the trip. I know I will be returning there this weekend. It's worth the gas. read more

We have nothing but wonderful memories of this place. I found them on Yelp after we learned that our first choice had a 45-min wait. I called them and they said that it will be another 20-mins before we can get seated. We got there within 15-mins and we got seated 5mins. after that - talk about accuracy! The place is really small - smaller than my living room but it was cozy. The service made up for the size. For appetizers, we got the chicken satay (which was deliciously tender and marinated in coconut juice), steamed mussels (the broth was fantastic) and crab rangoon (I must admit I wasn't crazy about this). For our main course, we had Pineapple Fried Rice (the best!), chicken basil (perfectly cooked), spicy crispy bean (fresh seafood with it), pork curry (sauce was so tasty) AND the highlight of the night was the Choo Chee Duck. I never had this before and it was just marvelous. Five stars for food and service. The place was packed but they never failed to check on us. Everything came at the right time and we did not need to follow up on anything. Considering that we ordered a lot and they got it all right was pretty amazing. No wonder everybody was happy. Because the place was so small, our table was positioned right beside another big group. We got to chit-chat and shared some laughs. They left before us and they gave us their leftover wine - really nice people. The place didn't charge for corkage. Aside from giving us their wine, they also paid for our bill - apparently. We only found this out from our waitress when we asked for our check. Apparently, they are regulars at Bangkok Kitchen. We were stunned when we found out that they paid for everything that we ate and we didn't even get a chance to thank them personally. Bangkok Kitchen is just oozing of good karma and apparently, it rubbed off on us. Thank you Paul for the wonderful dinner and thank you Bangkok Kitchen for the wonderful service and delicious food. This food at this place is amazing! First of all, if you're looking for a fancy restaurant with lots of ambiance, you won't enjoy this place. It's a small restaurant where you can see the kitchen from your chair. I love that, so I was excited. This place is BYOB, which I wish I had known before visiting, as I would have brought wine as other customers did. Instead, we got Thai Iced Teas, which were delicious. We got some tofu triangle appetizers which were good. We then got the Cashew Nut entree with tofu and the Pad Kee Mao noodle dish again with tofu. We were blown away with how flavorful both were, especially considering we did tofu. The menu said these were spicy dishes, but we didn't feel so. The prices were fantastic. I have tried several Thai places on the Cape (from Bourne to Eastham). This is by far the best one. I prefer to get take out only because the restaurant is small. The tables are close together so it feels like I am having dinner with strangers. Otherwise, this is a delightful place. The food is consistently superb and the family is very kind and sweet. They have a great lunch special deal. I highly recommend the crispy duck with the CHOO CHEE sauce. The choo chee sauce is a very delicious red curry sauce. Surprised to find such a highly rated Thai restaurant in the area, I was even more surprised when I saw it in person. It's incredibly small. I walked in and couldn't believe how cramped it was. With the line of people placing orders, picking up, waiters, and packed tables -- there was no personal space. I guess it must be good if it's so busy?? We decided not to eat in but take out bc it was too cramped for us. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. It took about 25 min for our 2 orders of pad Thai, curry fried rice, and chicken with cashews. Generous portions and quite yummy. I liked that my pad Thai was not drenched in greasy sauce but it could have used more sauce. My noodles looked nothing was on them. The curry fried rice and cashew dish were also great choices. Place is crowded and seating limited so keep that in mind - tons of people do takeout. Good food, friendly owners but do I think it's stellar, standout Thai food? Me and my wife visited this nice little place on a rainy evening. The place is really small, but they had like 8 tables in and about 25 people to sit. When we got in only couple of places were full. We started with hot and sour soup with some spring rolls. They were nice and crisp. My wife got the pineapple fried rice and I got the Pad Thai. The only issue we had was when the regular crowd started pouring in, we sorta felt left out and we had to ask couple of time for water. But otherwise the service was pretty good. read more
