They told me upfront that they needed the car for 3 - 4 days since they had to ship the ignition harness to Chicago to have the spare key installed in the harness. Four days later my car was done so I went to their new location in West Chester to pick it up. They were very good at explaining how the new system worked except it only worked on a part-time basis, sometimes it started and some times it did not. After several phone calls to Chicago it turned out that I need to replace the car battery since mine was 4 years old and too weak to power the system. After replacing my battery the system works perfectly! The service that Tier One provided was top notch, they did exactly what they said they were going to do and at a fair price. So now I can remotely start my car with the key or using by Droid phone. I would recommend these guys to anyone who wants a remote starter put in their car. My next purchase from them will be a sound-deadening system that eliminates road noise.

Sorry, for the lengthy review, but I feel this needs to be mentioned, so others don't make the mistake I almost made. My BMW dealer told me my 2010 BMW 335xi needed to have the passenger side HID head light replaced due to a broken part. The total parts and labor cost were almost $2,200. This seemed expensive. While searching online for a used head light for my car, I came across Exotic Customs. I read online they specialize in HID head lights. I read the review from Roger M. here on yelp and after reading about his experience I decided "no way, I'm not going through what he did". So I continued my search, clueless that I was about to make a bad decision to go elsewhere based on a bad review. Eventually I purchased a used headlight from a place with great reviews. After the dealer tells me I bought the wrong headlight, the place wouldn't return it. I was furious I had wasted $650 on the wrong head light! A colleague at work overheard my complaint and told me to call Exotic Customs. He mentioned lighting is one of their specialties. I showed him the bad review about their HID lights. He laughed and proceeded to show me pictures of his friend's car they had recently customized. He called his friend, who had nothing but good things to say about Exotic Customs and especially about the owner Mike. I mentioned the bad review online and he stated "you can't believe everything you read online. Once you see what they do there, I guarantee you won't want to go anywhere else". So, based on the referral from my colleague's friend, I called Exotic Customs to make an appointment to see what they would charge to fix my head light. When I arrived 30 min early, Mike was working with another customer, so I waited for him to finish. While listening to their discussion I felt confident Mike knew what he was talking about. Once they finished, Mike looked over my car, found some bad components in the headlight and he recommended he repair the broken piece. I told him my dealer said it needed replaced. He smiled politely and said "I can actually fix it for much less". I inquired about cost. He put together 3 different proposals. One to fix the headlight the least expensive way, another to fix it with a new replacement BMW parts and a third option using their upgraded parts. All of his options were at least $1000 less than my BMW dealership!! I questioned all of the options. He explained them thoroughly, made recommendations and let me choose. He was very knowledgeable about how all of the parts were made and the installation process. I ended up going with the more expensive option using their custom upgraded parts. I felt this was the best option. Mike put through the order to produce the parts and called me a week later for installation. When I dropped off my car, the guy that was dropping off his car when I first stopped in, was picking it up. It looked like a totally different car. I was very impressed with the repairs, paint work, and custom parts they made. It looked as if the car had never been wrecked. The guy told me he couldn't believe how different the work was at Exotic Customs. He said they were more expensive than the other shop he went to, but the work was much more impressive. My car was in the shop overnight and Mike called me the next day to pick it up. When I arrived, Mike showed me everything they did to my car. He actually did the head light repair work himself. He showed me how everything worked just as the original BMW parts did. My headlights are now almost twice as bright as the original BMW lights, allowing me to see more of the road! ....and the lights don't blind oncoming drivers, because they used the original BMW headlight. Their work and parts are definitely top notch! I'm amazed they were able to fix my head light and make both headlights even brighter for half the price my dealer quoted me. They even give a warranty on the head light parts which the dealer wont warranty electrical parts! So in conclusion, I am glad I listened to my colleague's friend about going to Exotic Customs and seeing for myself what they do. This shop is real hidden treasure in West Chester. They are honest, upfront about everything, and actually care about the work they do. They don't want you to waste your money buying new parts if they can effectively repair the part for less. To me that's a great way to meet your customer's needs. After seeing how Mike runs this shop, I'm glad I went with his option. Even after wasting $650 on wrong headlight, I still spent less than my dealers quote. So, for those like myself who always read reviews and make decisions based on them, I'd recommend actually checking out the place before you judge them based on one bad review. I had a radio installed and it didn't work properly due to installer error. I took it back and they…read morecouldn't figure out the problem. I ended up taking it a different shop and they found 2 issues and made the repair. It cost me $160 to have this repair done. I called Bill at Illusions but he wouldn't answer. I sent him a text message with the repair receipt to see if he would reimburse me the $160. He said he would look into and get back to me and I have not heard from him since. So I paid him $1000 cash and had to pay $160 to have his work fixed and he just goes on like nothing happened. I'm not chasing this guy for $160, but if I were you I'd steer clear of him. There's a lot of other places to get a radio or a detail. His detail guy Eric is a great guy and does great detail work but Bill doesn't really care about customer service. I will not be going back there or recommending Illusions to anyone for anything. At this point I don't care about the $160 but it would have been nice to be acknowledged rather than ignored.

I asked Mike to remove bose crap and install Polk MM6501 components the front doors, with the tweeters in the sail panels. In addition, I asked that he run power to and install a Precision Power 5 channel amp. I asked that he rewire the existing Bose subwoofers to be powered by the new amp. Flawless work. He did everything I asked at the price quoted, and in the time quoted. Walked me through the sound test and tweaked the amp to my specifications. If you want someone who does the job right, go to Mike. I traveled from Downtown philly, past another car audio shop, and over into NJ because I knew he would deliver. I've used another car audio shop on Vine street in Philly before. Very, very average work, focused mainly on ghetto blaster types. Again, not a bad shop, but not nearly up to par with Audiosonic. They have random techs that do the installs. To contrast, Mike does all the work at Audiosonic. I paid more, and it was worth every penny.

Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by the front desk representative whose name was "Rose". And, she welcomed me with a friendly "hello" and a "smile'. From there, I explained why I stopped in and Rose was extremely professional, kind, attentive and outgoing & began going over what window tinting options they offered. After going through my options, Rose asked when I was looking to get the tint work done and I asked her if I needed to make an appointment in advance since I just walked-in off the street. It was then she asked me if I'd be interested in getting it done right away since I was already there? At first, I was shocked that they had an opening available. Shortly afterwards, Rose's manager (Ian) came out the shop and confirmed that it would only take an hour to get everything completed. So, I said sure, let's get it done! Honestly, I can say that the entire job only took roughly 45 minutes and I was thoroughly impressed! When they pulled my truck out the bay and brought it around to the front of the store, I was extremely pleased. This was my first time going to Tint World and they were EXCELLENT! From the customer service, attention to detail, great work performed, to how fast they got me in and out at a "decent price", I will definitely go back to them if I decide to do anything else to my truck! I arrived 30 minutes before closing, and Patrick and Bob generously stayed with me for an extra 90 minutes at their desk after the closing time passed in order to answer all of my questions and assauge my anxieties. Their passion for the products I bought (all Sony) and their technical knowledge blew me away. They have been with the company for a very long time. My 2010 SS needed a new underhood fuse box and I found one through this supplier…read more 1. It took two weeks to get the part from NEW YORK to PENNSYLVANIA. 2. The price was adjusted upward 400% from comparable parts but I paid it because I needed it. 3. I drove 20 miles to pick it up only to discover that it was broken with a golf ball sized part of the box missing, still apparently worth 400% markup. My sales person was Brian Meddings. Do not use this person who works on markup and made good money on my part, but refused to have it overnighted to my location and made me call him several times to get status on this item. 4. The part was broken and my two week waiting period flushed.
