Was looking for a late burrito. I don't think the price for quantity and quality equate. It's definitely overpriced. The toppings looked soggy, as if they were sitting for days. I ordered steak, and the worker scooped these large chunks of beef from this brown soup. I think the most ironic part is the steak is sitting in a tub of liquid, but is sooooo dry. The reviews looked really great for Bang Bang Burrito so I thought I'd grab some takeout and check it out. I ordered a medium braised beef burrito with guacamole, pico de Gallo, peppers & onions, Mexican rice and lettuce. Nothin fancy. First off this is pretty sizeable so that was a mistake on my part cause it was massive! I noticed the burrito was pretty soggy right off the bat, and wasn't wrapped super tight so I had to hold it together. The burrito itself had WAY too much rice - it felt like a rice burrito, seriously. And the rice itself wasn't really what I would call "Mexican". The beef was tender, juicy and flavourful so that was a plus. However the main issue here was that ALL of the ingredients were at the bottom of the burrito. For 3/4 of the burrito it was basically rice and a touch of beef, and then right at the end was all of the other stuff. No wonder it fell apart! They were pretty busy when I stopped by so maybe that's why my burrito was kinda meh, so MAYBE I'll try them again, but I'm not sure. read more

It's legit! Our go to in this region. The boys care about the food they're serving and the attention to detail makes the difference. Nothing institutional here, all heart, texture and flavour. Fitting music if you're down to eat in, but takouts are a popular option. Pro tip: the hot sauce ratings are exact and the chips are truly fresh made served, so they coming atcha' hot from the fryer, seasoned and boom! Just entered this store to purchase a burrito for my wife who happens to love the food here and is going through an extremely hard time due to personal health and a death of one of her very close friends. So upon entering The location I waz told immediately to put on my mask as usual in stores in Durham Because I don't wear a mask due to the fact that I have severe asthma and can Hyperventilate Due to wearing a mask. When I tried to explain it to the employee in the store He seemed to be OK with it buy it decided to ask his manager if it was OK that he served me anyway and the manager proceeded to say that I had to wear a mask so I stood there and waited and tell the manager got back out from the back to try to show him the bylaw On the Durham region website that clearly States that if wearing a mask will inhibit a person's ability to breathe anyway they are not required to wear one. Said manager decided to tell me that he will not be serving me anyway and I can f*** off. He then proceeded to tell me to get the f*** out of the store and Call me a goof. I've been kicked out A multiple stores Durham region and refused service Since the pandemic started and I've never made a complaint but in this particular case I am not putting uo with the ignorance. In every other case thus far i have been refused by scared employees because I assume they have bene tokd they will lose their jobs if they serve anyone witu a mask (which is also wrong but I never usually ask for a manager i just say ok, explain what the bylaw states to the employee, inform them that they can not be fired for refusing someone service and leave because I respect that they fear for the loss of their jobs and hust try to educate them on the facts) But this case was very different. I showed the manager (who definitely should know these rules) who still efused me service and then proceeded to show his employees that its ok to treat clients with complete and total disrespect. As a business owner and father I am blown away at the type of people this establishment gores as their superiors and teachers. This whole thing for me has not been easy thus far not wearing a mask, but today I am going to show the community the situations that are arising due to this bylaw and let people see the other side of things. Will not be giving this establishment a penny. Have already contacted the health department to have one of their employees call to educate this ignorant buffoon for a manager bangbang burrito has on the rules of this bylaw so this doesn't happen to another customer willing to fork out their hard earned money to someome that doesn't respect health and our rights and freedoms as Canadian citizens. This place makes AMAZING beer battered fish burritos! They fry it fresh when you order so it's nice and crispy. They also don't charge for guacamole which is a plus. Interior is nice and hipster and has stickers that customers can stick anywhere on the wall. Had to come here another time for the fish burrito since I was craving it so much since the first time I ate it. Is a pretty small restaurant so there is limited seating but both times I came it was not busy at all. They even have a large table in the middle so you can come with a pretty large group. It's located in a little plaza on Simcoe right beside the university. Would definitely keep coming back especially for their fish burrito. read more

This is by far one of the top burrito places I've had and their beer battered fish is my go-to for any plate. Usually I get it in a burrito, this time around I got it in a Large Tortilla Shell (burrito bowl). Fish is excellent, crunchy on the outside, soft flakey in inside, and its variety of topping options add to the flavour for No Extra Charge, including Guacamole. They always make it fresh for you once you on the spot as not many people are aware of the option and the wait for it may be understandable, so give yourself atleast an extra 10 minutes, you will not regret! I live close by and have been many times, they have solid burritos and friendly staff. I've only ever gotten the naked burrito bowl which isn't cheap at $14 but I can understand the higher prices due to proximity to the college/university. I've had the pulled pork, steak, and beef and all are really solid and they have a great mix of things to add to your burritos including some things I haven't seen in other burrito joints like sweet potatoes, pineapple slaw and apple slaw and a jalapeno relish. My only complaint is portion inconsistency, sometimes I get a great portion of meat and other times I seem to get like 70% of what I'd expect and once you get a great portion you want it every time so it's disappointing when you get otherwise. read more

PROs - the service is very friendly - the restaurant is very clean - the burrito bowl is massive and very filling CONs -I wasn't a fan of the salsa, hot sauce and chicken - there was a taste to the salsa and the hot sauce I am not a fan of and I wish I knew before ordering that the chicken was pulled and in a sauce, as I was looking more for a grilled and chopped chicken -The burrito bowl is more expensive then Burrito Boyz and honestly BB is just as filling and with just as many toppings -The rice tasted crunchy (over cooked) I will give this place another shot and next time have a burrito with maybe the steak. Best burritos! They're so much bigger than we thought they'd be, and they're PACKED. The braised beef is phenomenal, my bf loved the steak, and the salsas are really good as well. Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, good music, reasonable prices, and most importantly, absolutely amazing food. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu! This is no burrito Boyz, which is by far my favourite burrito place in the gta. But this isn't bad either. Lots of topping selections. We tried the chicken and steak and they were decent. The bang bang sauce is great. The quesadilla is messy to eat, but that is probably because it is so loaded with toppings. Just use a knife and fork and it's fine. They toast up your burrito so it is nice and warm which is the right way to do it. Overall it's a decent place to try. read more

I've tried almost every burrito joint in Durham region and plenty in Toronto as well, this isn't even an exaggeration but this place has the most delicious burritos. My faves are the Chicken Tinga, Beer Battered Fish, Braised Beef and Thin Sliced Steak. It's hard to say which one I like best there are days when I just feel like a different protein and I just go with what I feel and I've never been disappointed. Quality delicious ingredients is what makes this place top notch. If you haven't been yet make sure you go and taste the difference. With me of going so much different kind of food places from Toronto to Mississauga and also to Oshawa for burritos it is the best places for burritos better then around places in Toronto. With me going to UOIT it make me a regular eating here always getting a massive size from steak to chicken or even fish always getting the food fresh and sauces that make you smile with full of flavours of what you put in the burrito. I rarely give 5 out of 5 but this place deserves it. But the food can be little pricey though if you order a massive costing you $16 with meat. O Yea the food there is already included tax already so all foods there has almost no decimals so easy to add up if you suck at math. The people who works there are awesome and nice with awesome service too. My friend got free food when we was wasted because they wanted them to silver up for example of gave milk to my friend because he could not handle the ghost pepper sauce on his burritos. My favourite burrito place tied with chipotle. I've been to Jimmy Guacos, Smokes Burritorie, Fat Bastard and Burrito Boys and this place is definitely my favourite.
