Went and saw the Christmas lights show at Bandimere Speedway. The lights and music are in sync and you also get 3D glasses. Super fun and festive activity to do. The show lasts the perfect amount of time and is a good group activity too.

We went to the light show at Christmas and WOW it was AMAZING.. I am not sure how they do it, how they get all those lights syncing together to music. I am not sure how long it takes for them to put them all up. We paid the extra money to have "premium pass" this was / is the way to go. You pay a little more, get some light up stuff, but you get to go to the front of the line. By the time we got to the end there was a 40 minute wait in the regular line. You do have to get tickets and they can sell out. So get them early next year !

I love Bandimere Speedway. I go there for all the races. I go there for the Fourth of July show, it is spectacular. I love their Fourth of July show with all the jet cars and racing then the huge firework display after. I definitely recommend coming to Bandimere Speedway for fun.

Free Wi-Fi that actually works during the biggest event of the year? I'm impressed. Watching Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters fly down Bandimere's track at night is the most awesome thing I have ever seen in my life. From parking, to concessions, to top-notch facilities, Bandimere is a very well-run track. Highly recommended.

Fantastic day trip from Denver for curious kids…read more My sister-in-law took the kids and me to Dinosaur Ridge for a picnic lunch, visit and ramble. It was a great way to spend a few hours outdoors and away from screens. There are ample picnic tables outside the visitor's center. Parking can be a little more limited, but you can park on the road outside and walk in. We did go into the visitor's center ($5/pp). There was a very nice volunteer there who talked to my son with enthusiasm and patience. The center is pretty small, but there were enough things for my son to examine and think about. He's 9 and well beyond his dinosaur obsessive days, but he was still curious about thing things he saw. The younger kids enjoyed digging for fossils in the sandbox outside. We also hiked along the walk way that spans between the visitor's center and the Red Rocks area. The walk is pretty level, and there are labeled areas that show dinosaur tracks and fossils. The views are also stunning of the whole Denver area basin. I'd happily return.

There is nothing more magnificent than seeing natural beauty created by our awesome God. The amphitheater was a sight to see. It's amazing that it was man made. There are a total of three marked hiking trails. We hiked the difficult and medium trails. They weren't that bad at all. The different elevation did make it tough at times, but what an accomplishment it felt when we finished. Also, the view along the way was great. So don't forget to stop and just look around! They also have an easy trail, which is nice, especially if you're taking small children. The visitor center was neat as well with some fun facts and history. There is also a Trading Post where you can purchase souvenirs. The shirts are crazy expensive, but if you shop in the clearance section, it is more affordable. If you're hungry, there is one restaurant there with reasonable prices, but of course more on the pricier side. However, I think it would add to the experience if you brought your own food and picnicked along the way or eat at the end. You can definitely spend a whole day here! It's great for a family outing, date, friends hang out, or even just to enjoy solo. I highly recommend visiting this place, especially if you're from out of town.

If you're here in the morning, you'll see joggers going up and down the stairs. Also, the visitor center has a few exhibits on the history of the Red Rocks Amphitheater (and celebrities and rock stars who have performed here). But Red Rocks Park has lovely hiking trails beyond the amphitheater. Just make sure that you bring a bottle of water, hat, and sunglasses if it's a sunny day. It's also worth picking up a local map so you can estimate which hike to take based on the amount of time you have available. The trails do not provide any shade, so a hat and sunscreen are essential. If you have a few hours to spare while visiting Denver, be sure to plan a day trip here if the weather is nice!

Joe was wonderful -- fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!

My daughter and I arrived around 11am and we decided to have a little picnic in the back of the car, which seemed easier than trying to carry stuff through TT until we reached the picnic tables. The scenery is so pretty here, which made our little trunk picnic even more special! My daughter is 5 and was probably JUST young enough to enjoy it. We rode the train first--a short but cute ride--and then made our way through the town. She loved checking out all of the buildings, as well as seeing how they were decorated inside. So many dolls and scenes! The playground is sparse and outdated, but of course we had to spend a little time there. Our only negative experience was with the woman working the register in the gift shop. We were buying something, and my daughter picked up a little trinket that you're supposed to turn over + watch the bubbles move. Instead of just asking her to put it down (again: it's for playing with! And it was right in front of her face!) she ripped it out of her hands. While this doesn't classify as touching someone else's kid, it was close enough for me. Overall, a 4-star experience! I'm glad we took the time to go.

This year, I went early season on Clear Creek and loved it so much I came back late season for Gore Canyon- an adrenaline-packed, fun adventure! The day started with a swim test to make sure everyone was prepared before tackling Class V rapids. (Honestly, if you're not a strong swimmer, this trip isn't for you, they do test your swimming in the rapids and throughout the trip over half of the people across our 5 rafts ended up in the water at some point! Additionally this would be quite the dive into the deep end if you've never rafted before!) The trip was an incredible mix of thrills, skill, and crazy beautiful scenery you would not have guessed was there when you drive into Kremmling. Midway through, we stopped for snacks, and when we wrapped up, the crew served a delicious lunch and cold beers (NA options were there too!) such a nice touch after a big day! What sets Liquid Descent apart is the crew. Every guide I've had has been dedicated to making the trip special. I've talked to them and many of them have said they specifically choose to work here because of the company's extra training and the sense of community. I even met the owner yesterday at Gore Canyon, and you can tell the company's passion for customer experience comes directly from the top. Specifically the last 2 guides I've had, Jordan and Malia have been awesome! Yes, most rafting companies use the same put-in/take-out points and similar gear but the experience is what makes the difference. I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it!
