Centrally located on 42nd and Tennyson with basketball hoops, ping pong tables, bocce ball, a playground, and several benches the park has the usual amenities. Nice walking paths through and around the park make it easy to traverse the nearby neighborhood on wheels or with stroller/pet. You can park on either side of the park and almost all street parking in the area is free two hour parking. Apart from the "baseball diamond" and outfield in the northwest corner of the park the playground is the southern focal point. A few slides for the small structure playground but certainly enough for the crawler to six or seven year range. On the weekends this park is swamped with families and wagons so if you'd like some quieter times I highly suggest mid week sunup to around two in the afternoon. Great lunch spot if you work nearby on Tennyson and want to enjoy the sun and weather. Also a solid spot to stop over and read a book or just enjoy a coffee, ice cream, or other Tennyson business treat you splurged on for yourself.

This location now offers Studio Red (HIIT cardio), Flow (heated yoga), and LFT (lifting class) which are basically boutique-style workouts that would cost $30+ for a single drop in class elsewhere, but you get it (and a lot more) for a monthly cost of ~$45 (as of Jan 2026). The equipment in the classes are high end and in great condition. All the coaches teaching the classes are wonderful, fun, welcoming people, so it's a great environment to jump start your fitness journey or crank it up. Really great fellow gym go-ers in the classes as well - no weird egos, very supportive and considerate. It's true that the extra amenities, like the massage chairs, break down more consistently than you'd like, but the workouts are so satisfying, it's fine. There are also some new-ish annoying fees with being late and corporate controlling the music played. Also, there's a pool and some spa amenities. I haven't personally used it, but it's always looks clean and does the job. Again, at this price point, it's a great deal.

Meanwhile, staff are often gathered behind the front desk chatting rather than addressing these issues. There's no padding for squat racks as employees stopped giving them out, and machines are routinely broken or out of service, which raises serious questions about how maintenance fees are being used.

You are nearby to Sheridan but this park is a quiet little oasis nearby to several family neighborhoods. Not sure this is a park I would specifically drive to but if you live close bike or walk over immediately! Generally quiet with people walking through so you'll always be able to get some peace and quiet. No set parking lot but the north and south border of the park has free street parking.
