We all had a fun time! My husband really enjoyed the level of competition and sportsmanship. On the sidelines, everyone was friendly and there was ample space for my baby and I to spread out, play with toys, keep our stroller undisturbed, and walk around if she was fussy. Bathrooms were spacious enough to bring the stroller in one stall with me and there was a changing table. Loved how family friendly it was! My only qualms are 1) the website is not very clear on directions to participate in any competition format. I got the scoop when I called so it was fine, but wording could be better and 2) I'm not sure "food" should be in the name here as I don't think any was for sale besides chips. Totally fine to be a pickleball joint with a bar, just felt a little misleading with the name. All's to say, we will absolutely be back!

The ribs were good- served with a thin bbq sauce that was heavy on the pepper, most of the ribs were nice and meaty. The sweet potato fries were good as well- they serve Kensington ketchup, which is a little more peppery and has a different texture than the usual, I do recommend that over the honey mustard as a dipping sauce. The honey mustard was pretty heavy on the horseradish. My husband got the slider variety. The burger had a thousand island based sauce on it that made it a little different from the usual burger. The regular chicken sandwich had a lemony flavor to it. I preferred the hot chicken sandwich- the heat creeped up on you but it was good! Their chicken was super thick and juicy- probably my favorite part of the meal. The fry portions were huge. Service at the counter and at the table was very sweet and helpful. She even brought us some ketchup packets to take home so we could see what kind of ketchup they served. Loved the giant pickleballs in the stairwell- what a cute decor choice! It is pretty standard set up like you would expect from a place like such (think bowling alleys, Top Golf, Dave & Buster, etc.) although Chicken N Pickle is HUGE, I almost got lost exploring the place. This is their advantage because you can hang out inside or outside depending on your mood! Inside is obviously where the pickleball courts are. For a large place, I feel there still isn't enough courts. And the courts are too close to each other. When you have recreational family playing who has never played before, half the time is spent on picking up each other's ball from across the courts! The food was ok, nothing to write home about, including the chicken. One nice thing about them is that they did allow us to bring a cake to celebrate the birthdays. Very excited to see ping pong tables out in the lawn area. Though the tables and paddles are terrible, not the standard ping pong materials. Needless to say, when the ball lands on the lawn, there's no bounce. So they should really switch up the placement of the sports and have ping pong be indoors (players will thank you on those windy days) and more outdoor pickleball courts.

While they opened late last year, they've recently added a beer and wine pour station--a nice bonus for the adults! The entire facility is spotless and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to visit. We've gone several times with rambunctious groups of varying sizes, and they've always managed to accommodate us. A warning to men who are thinking about joining the Epic HR location. Their advertising says "we…read morehave leagues for everyone". Actually, no they do not! Most of the league times are taken up for women's leagues. Nothing wrong with that IF they had the same for men. But the only men's leagues they have are 4.0 and 4.5 DUPR leagues. I joined specifically to be in a men's league at a reasonably close location. When there weren't any and I called about it they suggested I try the Littleton location because they didn't get enough participants for 3.0- 3.5 leagues. Well, I joined HR because it's convenient and I'm not interested in taking more time to drive a lot farther. Oh BTW, when I visited HR, they advertised a great special for a reduced rate. But went I tried to sign up, they said the rate was only good at the Littleton location. So let's review: they charged me more to join the HR location - but don't have leagues for me; then they told me to go to Littleton, but they wouldn't give me that price to join at HR. See anything wrong with this picture?? BUYER BEWARE!
